How is this his fault? Is he supposed to turn round to LvG and say "No, come on now..."?

If he hadn't left it until the last week of the transfer window, perhaps we could have accomplished more of the rebuilding than we have?

Just embrace the insanity, boys. Falcao + CM and we're laughing.

If we went and signed Vidal and Falcao in one day, it tops any previous window in its entirety for me.

With respect to news in Colombia that Falcao has signed for Manchester United, I know is it has Mufc offer and considering

The word bandwagon comes to mind.

De gea
Rafael Evans Rojo Shaw
Herrera Carrick Blind
Rooney Falcao Dimaria

Subs: Ammos, Jones, Fletcher, Januzay, Valencia, Mata, Rvp

What an odd signing he would be at this stage. We're far more in need of a quality centre back and a top quality central midfielder.

I don't believe all of this Falcao stuff but I wouldn't put it past LVG to come up with something out of the ordinary eg. Sell Rooney (my preference) or RVP.

I reckon this is Falcao's agent leaking rumours so that City come in with a higher offer.

He didn't. Van Gaal wanted time to assess, meaning Ed got little time anyway.

If Ed is told to sign Falcao, he tries to sign Falcao.

That's how we should line up. Or like this, at times:
De Gea
Rafael Evans Rojo Shaw
Herrera Blind Di Maria
Rooney Falcao Januzaj

Didn Tancredi call our interest/bid a good few hours ago? And we all laughed him off? I specifically remember laughing at Ducker but who was the origin?

Couldn't believe this, but it's all starting to seem a bit too real...
Really hope these Colombian journalists are completely wrong.

Is there anyone who can explain to me why Falcao's fee seems to be around €65M?
He's gone to Monaco, scored only 9 goals (2 of them penalties) in 17 league games in the French league (even Riviere managed to score 10 in a few games more) and he's had a dangerous knee injury.
Add to that the fact that he's a year older now and still his price has gone up?

I'm no transfer market expert, but literally all things influencing a transfer fee are in Falcao/Monaco's disadvantage, yet the price is higher now than a year ago?

I could see the reasoning behind this if RVP is actually injured and LVG has concerns about us scoring goals. Still, I believe our CM is a much more pressing issue to address.

RMC sport in france was the first. Then Man Utd Sainz in Spain.

So he's signing a player who tore his ACL in January who is 28, despite having "concerns" about a 26 year old CM with a less serious knee injury and waiting until January to evaluate a 24 year old Strootman? It makes no sense for LVG to want him or Woodward to try to buy him.

If it's just a random glory signing then we really will have been a mess this window. Massive money on Di Maria and Falcao who (while certainly excellent players) don't address the most glaring deficiencies in the squad. It would be Real Madrid-lite and not in any sort of positive way.

Only makes sense if RvP is out for a seriously long stretch. If he is in a seriously bad way then I guess it wouldn't be a worst idea to sign another top class striker but even then I think we still need strengthening in midfield and defense far more.

Still, probably not true at all so no need to be too worried.

If Moyes is to be believed, Woody was trying to sign Bale, Ronaldo and Fabregas at once last summer.

This would apparently be par for the course for him. He's beautifully insane.

These colombians just wumming around, the Marcos guy is a bit suspicious.

4 of them working for different networks ? All wumming ?

Doubt it. They have been fed info but it could well be Mendes working the market to generate a bid.

Man Utd Sainz is apparently Mendes's go to journalist. If he's reporting it, then there's certainly a Mendes briefing. Though it doesn't necessarily mean that its a done deal.

If LvG told the chief exec to try and sign one of his targets, only for him to turn around and say he's not going to as he's against the idea then the Dutchman would be out the door faster than you can say 'undermined'.

Half the celebrities in Hollywood have had their nudes leaked and we might be signing Falcao.

Cock
out.

LvG is probably going to ask Rooney to play midfield soon.

One thing I took from Saturday's and last week's game was, and yes I was that bored, anytime Rooney had a chance or done something, the camera would cut across to the bench and LVG would be writing frantically in his folder....

If, and it's a big if now, this Falcao stuff is true, it's very very interesting on the Rooney front....And obviously the RVP front

Leaking this is not going to be a tactic by Falcao/Mendes to get him to City. No way. They obviously would like to sign him but there is no way to get around FFP without either a ludicrous loan move or City saying feck you to UEFA and getting kicked out the Champions League.

It could well be a tactic to get Real Madrid to try to buy him outright. I think Monaco have no interest in a loan deal and would much rather sell him.

Is Woodward attempting to play real life Football Manager? (With Van Gaal's blessing)

Haha...

"After Asheshing the squad, yesh? I have developed a new philoshophy, Edvard, involving the money from Adidash..."

Take out Evans for Jones/Smalling and make it a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 with those players and it's brilliant. Maybe Carrick in for Blind, though either are ok I'd guess.
