Why haven’t these poor of anti royalists staged a rebellion already if they are so outraged.
They’ve been too busy removing those fat cat politicians. Don’t see any of those anymore.

So you don't actually agree that a monarchy existing is a problem? No point continuing further then. You don’t have to be poor to stage a rebellion, if you are so outraged why hasn’t anything been done against it, genuine question, maybe it’s just a handful of cynical people on the internet.

I’m neutral on the brutal oppressive totalitarian dictatorship of North Korea, but no other country could pull off something as magnificent as this.Quite impressive especially the nukes going down the road and Kim’s speech on Covid 19.
What do you mean? You want a list of countries who don't worship people based on their birthright?
That old chestnut!
I don’t really care to be honest, what’s their wealth about 2 billion, it’s not really outstanding given a Country’s wealth. It’s probably beneficial for a country to have them.So you don't actually agree that a monarchy existing is a problem? No point continuing further then.
It's her husband ffs. Impressively ignorrant, and juvenile.Wrong funeral mate.
There's literally no possible rationale behind ever showing any importance to someone's birthright. Anything is better than that. An elected politician still has worked far more to reach that position than someone who got the right to rule a country because of their family name.No not really. More about which country has got it spot on really. I don’t agree with birthright too much myself but what other way is there? Maybe corruption in elections for politicians?
To be honest, not all countries can do it with a nonce front and centre, so you have to give it to Great Britain for that.
Hardly surprising. Always such a predictable overlap between religious people and those who still believe in shite like royal blood.I don’t really care to be honest, what’s their wealth about 2 billion, it’s not really outstanding given a Country’s wealth. Except I was referring to a specific aspect and not the entire country itself. Yeah mate, UK isn't North Korea, cheers for telling us that. The fact you can post your opinions on here without getting your bollocks cut off is exactly why this country is not “North Korea level lunacy”
I’m curious why @The Corinthian has over 80 posts in this thread, @Paul the Wolf over 70 and @Moby over 60.
That’s over 200 posts between three posters who don’t really like England/Britain, dislike The Queen/Monarchy and want to keep calling other people strange and baiting then repeatedly..
Take a look at yourselves.
Now that is weird.
Glad to helpExcept I was referring to a specific aspect and not the entire country itself. Yeah mate, UK isn't North Korea, cheers for telling us that.
The discussion is around not allowing people to rule the country because of their birthright and not eradicating poverty or inequality of wealth, just to be clear. When it comes to the former, a bunch of countries don't do that, and for good reason. Anyone who thinks democratic elections are as bad as having a monarchy needs to get their heads checked.Yeah and which country has cracked it and got it right?

Like I told the bloke above, anyone arguing in favour of birthright/monarchy is as mental as a religious person.Of course, in some instances it is possible to have both...
I’m Irish mate, I grew up being taught to hate the royal family, but even I understand that’s bollocks now and they serve a purpose just like anybody else.Hardly surprising. Always such a predictable overlap between religious people and those who still believe in shite like royal blood.
We do not comply with the mind control!
Where have I said I dislike any of them. I don't like seeing what the Uk is becoming.

Just enjoy it, they're frothing at the mouth and trying desperately to pretend they're not. Excuses for obsession incoming.I’m curious why @The Corinthian has over 80 posts in this thread, @Paul the Wolf over 70 and @Moby over 60.

Surprisingly, I liked the MacMillan and thought the Weir was completely dull.Didn't know about the Croft tradition. Haven't seen many of these royal funerals apart from Philip's last year.
Yes, they have that by Purcell but that's the only one from him. I don't remember ever singing that hymn so I just had a listen on Spotify. Pretty dull stuff. I like the last movement of the Parry to the words "one who never changes.." but the lead up to it is a bit meh. The Vaughan Williams is not his finest either.
I'm hard to please.
That’s fair but I think some people will be offended by some of the things posted here and that’s been allowed to slide.
Not sure why the need to keep posting and baiting.

Not sure you are getting my point but they reached the status of a head of the state through election, not because they were born in a particular family and did nothing else. The monarchy do not run the country as far as I know and they just cut ribbons and sign off things.
Look at other countries and presidents etc net worths across the globe. I doubt they hand it all back to their subjects just like yourself and I wouldn’t.
I find it quite sad if I’m honest.
If you take a step back there's a lot of weird, nasty things posted by the "I'm not a Royalist but" crew.
I don't think I've posted anything nasty about anyone. Bit of sarcasm here and there, some of the comments are so hilarious it's difficult to resist.
This is largely a very daft post to be fair. The UK is a democracy, the monarch role is primarily ceremonial with little to no actual power. What they do have the power to do however is to keep the democratically elected leaders centred. Whilst it’s not perfect (primarily on the topic of distribution of wealth, particularly as late stage capitalism is in full effect) it’s better than allowing power hungry populists like a Trump, or a Putin, or even dating right back a Hitler having full control because that top spot is voted for.The discussion is around not allowing people to rule the country because of their birthright and not eradicating poverty or inequality of wealth, just to be clear. Sadly it is for some .I personally just find it strange and quite disrespectful (not necessarily you but in general). There’s a variety of different people on the Caf, and age groups, some of whom may well be upset by all of this. Why should they be baited and belittled by others who seem to want to try an exert their perceived superiority on them?
If people don’t like it just be quiet and leave it be. As others have done. It’s really not hard to have some decency.
I'm aware, which is why people who still consider the royal family as anything special who deserve the kind of attention they get are the ones being referred to here. That's the whole reason we are having this entire song and dance about the "queen's" death, when there is no place for concepts like kings and queens as of now. It's hilarious to see people stand around for hours and go on about how being near that coffin was the greatest moment they will ever have in their lives. I'm glad I'll never be able to relate to such utter lunacy. The UK is a democracy, the monarch role is primarily ceremonial with little to no actual power.
Feckers won't be remembered after 10 weeks. Nevermind 100 years.I’m curious why @The Corinthian has over 80 posts in this thread, @Paul the Wolf over 70 and @Moby over 60.

The irony. The Navy, air force and army fought in two wars against fascism, and here you are, if you don't share the same opinion feck off to Russia. Outstanding.Born and bred in England. If some of you lot can't even respect the monarchy you live with, Not under. That's your problem.
Royal Navy
Royal Air force
Royal Army
Why paint this thread with all your jeasous and/or complete toxic comments?
Can always feck off and live in Russia or some shit?
