Protests following the killing of George Floyd

You'll be waiting a while as I can't be bothered going digging it back out. If you read the thread though you'll find it easily enough like a few others on here.
You didn't post it anywhere, I did dig back when you last claimed you did. You repeatedly corrected other poster's statements but have nothing to back your correction up with?

Alrighty, I'll keep waiting.

As many news crews, streamers and people recording on their phones need to be brave and keep recording everything that is going on there. The world is watching in horror. Come the end of all this, there will be a lot of martyrs I dare say.

And honestly, whilst of course you don’t want to see escalation, it would be an even bigger tragedy for Trumps bullying tactics to win, for the riots to be quelled by overwhelming military force, and for things to return to the way they have been.

Can I say hand on heart that I would be prepared to literally put my life on the line if I was over there? I don’t know. But I hope there are enough people there braver than me to force real action and change
I would hope that parts of the military will stand up for this. They are loyal to the flag, not a tyrant.

I didn't post it no but it was quite easy to find if you read through the tweet and comments. I'm not obliged to think for you. If you simply want to believe everything you see thrown up on twitter on face value be my guest.

So you claimed it without anything to base it on? Why?

Actually the best thing to happen is for something violent to happen like Trump ordering the cavalry to deploy and for them to fight the protesters.
I know it's easy for me to say this behind a keyboard but for the change to succeed it has to go to that level so that the neutral people would also join to change the country.

What you on about? Stop trolling.
People came in here making a claim, you repeatedly corrected them, it isn't too much to ask on what basis you did so? When asked you said dig back, when I did there was nothing. If it's so easy to find, mind doing so again? Because I sure couldn't.

People made a claim from a ridiculous source. If those people had looked at it properly, as I did, then they'd have found the guy wasn't an FBI agent and the video being posted was over a year old. I simply pointed that out to which those same people acknowledged upon looking at what I did.

In answer to your question yes I do mind. You can go do that yourself.

I don't think it's really important if he isn't an FBI agent or not, racial profiling was still involved and that's the point.

So I'll just assume you made it up. You are no more trustworthy than that "ridiculous source" and accuse people challenging you of trolling. If you had any way of knowing if he was a FBI agent you would have surely mentioned it by now. I suspect you don't. You just put it out there. God knows why...

it’s a bit scary to be considering this since you are talking about civil war, with bunkerboi havink the nuclear launch codes. But yes. If anything I would actually hope the military would be more disciplined and reasonable, compared with the US police who at this point purely resemble vigilantes and gangs. I can’t imagine them feeling quite so tough if actual, legit army soldiers were telling them to stand down.

Dude just read the twitter thread for 2 mins.

Here's the clearest response.

What a stupid post. Several other posters have already told you yet you still keep rambling on. Give it a rest.

The worst of these coppers who are treating civilians like enemies are ex-military.

It’s extremely naive to say the least that a force as professional and heavily indoctrinated in the chain of command like the US army would side with the protesters. This isn’t Hungary 1956.

So you mean, the previous tweet isn't to be trusted? But this one definitely is?

@Abizzz @sammsky1 @TheReligion

“A video going viral on social media amid widespread racial inequality protests in the U.S. carries a caption in many posts that claims it shows a black man who is actually an FBI agent being arrested. The video dates from 2019 and the man in the video is not an FBI agent.”

Thanks, that was all I was asking for!

Thanks. I'll await apologies from @sammsky1 and @Abizzz!
Keep waiting.

FBI is a small and irrelevant part of the story. The story is really about unlawful arrest, and IMO people over stressing the FBI connection are gaslighting.

They know each other you clown. Literally laughing about the situation with each other all over twitter and instagram.

I’m just pointing out that @TheReligion was truthful in both the man not being an FBI agent and in the video showing an incident from a year ago.

Thank you!

And the reason I was calling it out as I think it's pretty important not to spread misinformation which can be the danger when simply posting tweets without looking at the content or context. That's not "gaslighting" it's simply stating facts.

The protests are truly revealing the grotesque face of the US state to the world. What a cesspit. Horrifying to watch it, I feel physically sick at the thought of what they’ll do to their own citizens if they feel that’s what is necessary. You only have to look at their foreign policy to see the value they put on human life - they will have no qualms about doing to their own what they specialise in doing to others. The sense of powerlessness as this unfolds is beyond depressing.

I agree on that.

People are so quick to go on about "fake news" when trump and his ilk blatantly talk their shit, but somehow it's fine to brush off tweets that clearly were looking for more interactions with an exaggeration because it closer aligns.

It shouldn't be the case. There's enough real shit going on right now to focus on.
