In a well-ordered universe...
Wonder if Kushner cried when his dad was convicted and sent to prison.
Love how the laziness trope gets drug out yet again here:
He’s such a hateful little twat.
Forgot to add, I don't like Kushner..
Kushner is an absolute twat. First time I've heard of this McWhorter fellow, and I think I like Kushner better.
Do you know how may black referees there is?I saw the Kelly and Wright show last week and about Black lives matter and how much racism Wright has faced when he played. He said it was tough when his England team mates did not stand up for him when he gets abused when playing for England. There is so much of institutionalised racism everywhere. Surely there must be a good reason why there is not more than one black referee in the PL? I do not think there is any chairman or even a CEO in the PL?
Wait, I thought you posted this as an example of BS that gets thrown around, like the nonsense Kushner was spouting. I checked your posts in this thread and it seems you actually rate this guy. I'm speechless. That's funny

Edit: Just to add, I wasn't trying to be funny. With Kushner you can assume wilful ignorance, but this guy? He knows what he's doing.
This guy. Wow - reframe the argument, introduce a bunch of strawmen and debunk them. Excellent work McWhorter.
Do you know how may black referees there is?
Sorry i meant on general. On the show they said only one which was Rennie who has retired.
Ok. I'm sure you are correct
Sorry i meant on general.
Is it a case of there actually being no black refs to pick from?
Or is there black refs and they arent being picked?
I think we need to know the answer to that question first before asking why isnt there any in the pl
Well the claim that a lot of the issues are based on poverty and admitting people of colour are more likely to be poor while glossing over and failing to delve into historical, socio-economic and political reasons why that might be the case seems a bit disingenuous to me.
I take it you disagree?
I don't know. I might and I might not. The guy's been thinking about this stuff for 30 years. He even says so at the start of the five minute clip I posted. If you're curious I suggest you look into it.
Look into what? I've told you what I think.
You on the other hand make a passive aggressive comment to me and then refuse to give your opinion. It's a bit childish to be honest.
OK. Just because maybe I'm a bit slow and you calling me childish. What's the passive aggressive comment I made to you?
You told me very little. It's disingenuous to gloss over "historical, socio-economic and political reasons". I might and might not disagree in context of your question, "I take it you disagree", so I told you the guy's been thinking about this for more then five minutes in this video. You should look into it if you're curious.
I should look into whether or not you disagree?
Ok. I'm sure you are correct
Well, good luck to you
Not necessarily, but you cant have black refs if there is none to choose from.Well it's like the manager thing and I think it goes deeper than that.
Are you saying if there are no black refs to choose from that there is no problem?
Not necessarily, but you cant have black refs if there is none to choose from.
But then itd be an issue of why black people don't become refs. Is it purely coincidence or is there a history of racial bias therefore they dont bother wasting there time and that would need looked into then.
One of the weirder exchanges I've seen on the caf.If you're not trolling I've no idea what is happening
Well yeah that is what I was getting at but wasn't sure you were on the same page.
I don't think it invalidates Foxbatt's assertion that 'there must be a reason...' but it's quite a complex thing to unravel I suppose and I really don't believe in coincidences.
Surely no one believes that they are not competent enough to referee or coach or manage a football club because of the colour of their skin or their ethnic background?
I can only go with what they said on the programme. They said that there are black referees but they never get posts in the premier league. There are coaches too who are very good and very good business people too but they don't get the chances to go forward.
It's the same in management too and on the boards. Surely no one believes that they are not competent enough to referee or coach or manage a football club because of the colour of their skin or their ethnic background? Or are there people who still believe it?
If you're not trolling I've no idea what is happening
There's definitely under-representation and if there are referees and it just so happens that none of them ever get the big jobs then it needs looking in to. Do you have a link to the programme out of interest?
Lucky the Raptors didn't think so and they made history.Yes, absolutely. They are clever enough to not admit it.
Lucky the Raptors didn't think so and they made history.
I didn't mean everyone, everywhere, of course. Although I'd think the NBA will buck trends in this because many of the roles in question are best filled by former players and currently African Americans make up over 80% of the league rosters.
You should look into it.If you're not trolling I've no idea what is happening
I agree entirely. I just dont like the assertion thats its racism right of the bat, it could be, but it might not either.Well yeah that is what I was getting at but wasn't sure you were on the same page.
