Premier League Matchweek 3 (26-27 August)

Did the commentator just say that Besic's dad got shot yesterday and is in hospital? You'd think Everton would give the bloke the day off!
I read about it yesterday. Not badly injured, but still surprised he's playing.

Alonso tackle looked really clumsy. Basically won the ball by throwing his entire body at it and connecting with his knee in the end.

I wish refs would stamp that out a bit more. It's just bad tackling - much worse than, say, the type of foul Schneiderlin got a second yellow for last week.

Edit: Not as bad as Gueye's. Fair yellow that.

Davies kid is shit, sandro looks isolated, Rooney is shit. Sigurdson is about their level. Chelsea midfield look a class above. Everton have bough in number but they havent lifted their quality.

Just realised that in both this and Chelsea's last league game, there isn't a single English player in their XI. Does anyone know if there's ever been a club to start a league game without any English players before this?

Don't understand why the young striker would played against City isn't starting. He spread City's defense very well and caused problems. Sandro isn't doing any of those, just looks isolated up front.

Some of the shite on show in this Stoke game. I remember Sky kept doing this last year. If they have to fill their quota of teams they can still find better games than this. West Brom Stoke is an absolutely guaranteed bore.

No idea why Pickford goes foe the acrobatic save, just kick it with your foot ffs.

Liverpool did it in the 1986 FA cup final. Not sure who broke the record in the league, it's certainly not today.

Arsenal did it once during their french revolution phase.

Everton have no out ball, Sandro isn't making any runs to the sides to draw defenders out.
