Premier League Matchday 4 (Sep 9-11)

Nani's was completely different, he didn't stud the guys face for a start!

He got studs in the face because he ducked in to head the ball. The picture you are all pointing at to slam Mane clearly shows that the keeper isn't at full standing height. Mane was trying to touch the ball that he had his eyes on, Ederson was trying to touch the ball he had eyes on. That's why head and foot were at the same height.

If you're going to ban that fine. It's obviously dangerous.

But then you need to ban half the pieces of skill shown in this video:

You can't make it a rule only if someone happens to steal in ahead of you because as we've seen with Nani and imo today, sometimes a player focused on the ball won't see the other player.

Right now I'm imagining being married to Neville and having an disagreement with him.

Ederson came in at a million miles an hour and got there first. If Mane touches the ball a split second before and Ederson plows into him it's a totally different conversation.

I know it's important to ensure player safety but it's my opinion that if a keeper can fly in with his head at a hundred miles an hour that far outside the box, he bears some of the responsibility as well.
feck off he bears responsibility as well! He clears a ball at head height in a legal normal fashion as hundreds of defenders do week after week. He has done nothing wrong at all. Despite knowing that he's challenging for the ball Mane decides to opt for the high kick.

To try to shift the blame or share it is pathetic and ridiculous, something I might expect from a deluded Liverpool supporter in the heat of the moment.

Salah off for liverpool which is well a weird one, his pace would have troubled and has troubled otamendi. Chamberlain on, hope city stuff them 4/5-0 good.

Get Sturridge on. Otherwise I dont see the point in this. Tactically it makes no sense.

Liverpool have nothing on the pitch to hurt City without Mane and Salahs pace.

Are they going for damage limitation?

This is the dilemma I have with the Mane red card.

Not sure if it's been said much today but De Bruyne is class.

Another offside goal. Liverpool on the edge of a thrashing. Now 3-0. Jesus again. From the highs to the lows for Liverpool.

This is what it's like supporting Arsenal in these games.

The absolute state of that defence, it is relegation level stuff, not even close to midtable.

Did not want City scoring too many and improving their goal difference. Oh well.
