Premier League Matchday 4 (Sep 9-11)

Salah is fecking awful.

If it wasn't the obsession with pace around here he'd be laughed at Zaha or some other shite style for his end product.
They really don't seem to have a clue what to do with the ball in the final third (at least today). Every move ends with poor decision making.

Hope city smashes those disgusting cnuts. Klopp is the most disgusting of them all

How I feel as well. Hate that guy with his meth rotten teeth. fecking laughing as well after the incident. What a shithouse club.

Sorry, but that's just rubbish.

Just because he is having a bad game, it doesn't mean he is awful.

I dislike Liverpool as much as most United fans, but you've got to be honest, Salah is a much better footballer than Zaha.

His studs got him clean in the face. Mane is lucky not to get done for assault, never mind the red.
Not his studs, his foot catches him from bellow, not that it makes a big difference.

Does anybody think there's a bit of bias when it comes to exciting players? I figure Tyler and Nev aren't idiots but looking back they offered very little sympathy to Ederson who is a relative newbie to the Premier League compared with Mane who is obviously a very established talent. I can't help but think they'd be signing a completely different tune if it were Hart on the end of that kick.

Not sure if there's a KDB thread but that lad is a different league, absolute quality.
Absolutely brilliant. One of those players who amidst all the chaos can see a right pass to make and then has the skill to execute it most times.

Mane red card incident

Ederson is out of his area, he has to use his head. Mane is trying to knick the ball before he gets there, Ederson can see him going up with his foot yet still continues to charge and go for the header.

No red card.

Was hoping for a draw, but since they are already 2-0 up and Mane is off (FPL) , I hope City smash them and make Klopp cry.

Yes mane hit him on the face , but the GK is outside the D, he knows he can not hand the ball only way he could stop is by heading it and at the speed i dont know it was a right decision by the GK. He is outside His box, ball bouncing in at good speed, a player chasing it and what he is doing is running in putting his head on the line to head it out. By this logic there could be 10 red cards each game if keepers start running in to the player and put their head on the line.

Just a reminder goal difference and goals scored can be worth an extra point on the league table.

If you boot someone in the face studs up it's a red card regardless.

Not watching the game, twitter tells me both City and Liverpool's defensive frailties have been on display though. Whatever's the final score that's a confidence boost.

If we do our part, keep scoring and keeping clean sheets, we shouldn't have to worry about these over 38 games. They'll concede too many goals.

Can understand Neville initial feeling it wasn't red but after seeing that incident from a replay and still sticking to that is embarrassing.

It shouldn't matter if he's a goalkeeper or not, you can't kick someone in the face with your studs.

I detest City. I detest Liverpool. But listening to Neville and Tyler defend that was infuriating.

Game over now.

2-0
They are discussing Gary Neville on NBC and saying he's wrong. And he really is. Neville doesn't know what he's talking about.

If he didn't kick him in the face then he wouldn't have been sent off, quite simple really. it was dangerous and has caused an injury. 100% the correct call.

I'm all for 50:50's but if one player goes in as dangerously as mane did here then they deserve a red card.

I've already said it was the correct call so not sure what argument you're trying to have?

I'm just saying it's not as black and white, good and evil, right and wrong as some of you are making it out to be.

When each player set off there, Mane looked to be favourite. He slowed down, eyes on the ball and looked to bring it down.

Ederson came in at a million miles an hour and got there first. If Mane touches the ball a split second before and Ederson plows into him it's a totally different conversation.

I know it's important to ensure player safety but it's my opinion that if a keeper can fly in with his head at a hundred miles an hour that far outside the box, he bears some of the responsibility as well.

Either we totally ban touching the ball with your foot above chest height regardless of whether or not someone's head is nearby, or we show some leniency to a player attempting to bring the ball down who gets beaten to it by an opponent.

When Zlatan or Berbatov or somebody else takes the ball down exactly as Mane was attempting to do right there we all say what great touch it is. Then when another player flies in from miles away it's suddenly a red. Needs to be every time or never.

Anyway, game ruined by that. Wonder how many of the adament keyboard warriors were arguing the other way for Nani a few years ago?

Yeah I'm like that. Liverpool won't get anything from this so I hope it end in embaressment.
