Premier League Matchday 4 (Sep 9-11)

Clear red card, not debatable.

High boot to the face of the keeper. How is that not a red card? You could argue that they both went for the ball. But, don't think it is a laughable decision like many are saying.
He's not the keeper outside the box, he's just like any other player challenging for the ball. It would be a orange yellow with any other.

I thought intent was nothing to do with it when it is dangerous play. The rule got changed a few years ago. Basically if its dangerous it doesnt matter where your eyes are looking even though a lot of refs take this into account.

I'm sorry anyone who denies this is a red is off his tits. Incredibly dangerous.

I'm all for outcome of this game being Liverpool losing while Manchester 'Everything is an Agenda Against Us' City cheat their way to victory, but it looks like a red to me.

Bonus points if Klopp brings up our offside goal from last season in the post match interview.

Seems I don't know what a red card is then based on what Sky are saying - I called red as soon as it happened; seems textbook dangerous and reckless play.

Christ Jesus has such a punchable face

What happens if Mane just gets the ball before Ederson comes (by a split second) and is through on goal? Is it still a red?
If he kicks ederson after getting the ball, yes.
It's not about malice. It's dangerous play. A raised foot like when he sees the opponent coming, especially with that force, is dangerous..

Hang on, Mane kicked Ederson in the head and Sky seem to have completely missed it. It's clear as day and Tyler and Neville are talking some absolute bollox!

Definite red card. At first it looked a yellow but the replays show just how dangerous Mane's challenge really was.

There's a reason other leagues in Europe penalise high feet. It's for exactly this kind of thing.

Sky :wenger:

Jesus will be remembered as the biggest steal in the recent history of modern football.

Both teams down to 10 men now that Bravo is on!

Imagine, Stones might have been 100 million in the recent transfer window.

Mane is marginally 2nd to that ball all day long & probably knows he is likely to be - red card equally all day long.

Hahahah Gabriel Jesus is well on his way to break some type of record for amount of goals disallowed.

How many is that for him so far in the Premier League now…
