Premier League Matchday 4 (Sep 9-11)

Not sure how going for the ball acts as a defence. His boot when into Ederson's face at head height. It was dangerous and reckless so it's a red card. Intent doesn't matter.

Straight boot into the face. Of course it's a red, for feck sake.

Put his head on the man's boot... Zlatans elbow all over again :wenger:

In all seriousness though if the keeper wants to rush out and head the ball to stop mane bringing it down it's his own fault. If a player wants to be brave and get all the plaudits for being brave then they also take the risks that comes with sticking your body in harms way.

Hope the lad will be fine.

Sometimes I am glad I don't have to tolerate the British TV. At least here on NBC, commentators are a bit more reasonable. They saw a straight red in that like anyone sensible would.

It's clearly reckless play, with total disregard for the safety of another player. The fact he was chasing the ball or may not have intended to kick him in the head is totally irrelevant.

It's not like the ball bounced directly up the air. He ran at the keeper at speed and launched his boot into his head. I can't understand the controversy.

I've got a three fivers on 5+ goals for Liverpool/Draw/City.

Seeing Liverpool down to 10 and Bravo come on pleases me.

Intent? I'm pretty sure Taylor didn't mean to break Eduardo's leg.

OK I initially said never a red card but I've had to make a U turn after seeing the replay again.

If a stud up challenge to the legs is a straight red, how the feck is one to the skull not a red? What the actual feck is Gary Neville and the commentating team on about?!

yeah it´s a red after replays. I initially thought he just connected with his leg to his body and it was unintentional. Extremely bad luck for Ederson to be caught at the end of it.
