Premier League Festive Season

I was watching that game expecting something to happen, like Liverpool to bag a deflected goal or to get a header from a corner or something, but it didn't happen. That's an amazing result for us. Liverpool not getting 3 points today and us nicking them yesterday late on, it's been a huge few days for us. We've gotta keep the wins coming and hope that Liverpool go through a patch where they struggle to score.

part of me feels that Liverpool will still win the league, but not at a canter like last season.
Even if we are within 8 points or so it'll be seen as a successful season IMO.

I'm still not believing in the "title run", we just have to keep winning and then see what happens.

We're all inconsistent this season. Anything can happen. United need to just take it one game at a time.

It's why I'm not overly concerned with our poor run of form. We just need to buy Bruno Fernandes to help us go on a massive run post January.

Yep. Bailed them out. But they now have Thiago back.

The way this season has gone with the twists and turns, it's going to take a team that hits consistency in March and April that will win the title.
Whoever buys the best CB in January wins it for me

Liverpool have only known one challenger for the league title in 2014, 2019 and 2020. It might be a different team this season, but odds are City will be our challengers again considering they're only one point behind ( with games in hand).

You are confused.

If we win our game in hand, we'll join you at the top of the table on 33 points each. City are nowhere to be seen.

Liverpool going to massively struggle if they start regularly dropping points at Anfield. Only won 2 out of 8 away and Southampton away next week is one they could easily drop points in aswell as Southampton attack will test their backline.

Think Liverpool need 10 away wins to be sure of winning the league so that's going to be a big ask now.

It's funny.
No-one at all thought Newcastle would take points off them, and a few thought Southampton might.
Hopefully it's not a other way round scenario and Southampton still do something.

Nowhere to be seen doesn’t really work applying the logic you used for us to be fair. If they win their 2 games in hand they are a point behind Liverpool

If only we had not gone so far in Europe last season we would have got more rest in the summer and would have started this season fitter.

Klopp says he is “happy with the performance. That’s the way we have to play”... Coach of the Year

Hands off our Bruno!

Which decade? Feck me, history lessons. On Redcafe no less.

I would take a closer look at the table pretty boy.
Looking too far over your shoulder at City might not be what you need to look out for.

Liverpool have loads of shite in their team and the most overrated front 3 ever. How they’re top is mental. Once Eddie Cavani gets a run of starts thinks it’s over.

so you are assuming City win their two games in hand, and United lose theirs?

On the United forum after such an abject performance - you are on the windup.

Let me look into my 18 year Redcafe history. Ah, here it is: "It's a marathon, not sprint Dumbo". :)

I was fully expecting Liverpool to batter Newcastle.

Instead they drop more points, woohoo Newcastle.

Also so nice to see a keeper turning in a performance like that against someone other than us.
