The law of Murphy  Oh dear this is why I never watch his press conferences anymore. Very poor yet again tonight, pretty much the whole team played like they couldn't give a damn.

I'm gone...never as a United supporter, but while this is going on I really really can't even start to motivate myself for any hope. Passion has gone this season. Not because we are not winning, I've been through that before, but because none of the players seem to give a shite, even in the Doherty,Sexton, Atkinson eras there was always fight, even if at time we where shite. Whatever those reasons for the team not caring are, it's us that pay for them, whether in tickets, merchandise or my bloody man utd credit card! When I'm struggling to pay bills, and those feckers produce that on their 60K a week plus, bloody hell.....

This is the kind of game we will look back on in 8 years after just winning back-to-back European cups and wonder how it was allowed to happen. Like Bayern now looking back on their draws to Bolton and Aberdeen 8 years ago.

LVG was trying to protect the 1-1 wasnt he, when he brought on Morgan?

We had one sub left, which should have been keane. Why didnt we go two up top any time in that second half? baffling.

One of the top comments on the daily mail....

"The team that beat Manchester United tonight had not played for 2 months and have won once in their last 10 games. An absolute damning indictment of how terrible Manchester United are"

Are those stats true does anyone know?

they lost to anderlecht as well. zenit did them over 4-0 as well but they also beat us in the super cup...

Yes.

I remember. To be fair what's quite funny is that the man who got Bayern back on map in Europe is a certain Louis Van Gaal.

We'll still go through, but heavens above - that was dire.

Some perspective though, we were awful the last time we were in the EL and that was under SAF.
I sincerely hope we don't qualify to avoid further humiliation.

And to put in perspective this is the worst I've seen us play, ever.

Romero was the best player on the pitch (of all 22 players).
On our side I'd agree, of all 22 I think that would be Sisto.

I am especially pissed about Januzaj not being able to play tonight, all because this idiot decided to loan him out, where he sat on the bench the entire time.

So you think Januzaj would've helped us?
Personally, I don't think Januzaj is good enough to even be on our bench (at this moment in time), let alone play in the team.
If he can get some match fitness/practise in the reserves, he can prove he is ready for a 1st team opportunity. But I don't think that time is now.

Now, the other attacker who left us - Hernandez - that's a different proposition. He could've helped us.

All coaching and management staff should resign

Sisto scored 1 goal and made a few dribbles.
Against a better team, he'd not have scored and would've been tacked. We made him look good.
Those saves which Romero made - he'd have done that against any team. Those were point blank saves.

Things have really fell apart this season. We are having to put up a dog fight to stay in the top 5 and we just lost against a team i did not even know exsisted. Is it LVG or is it much deeper ? There is no passion, no fight, just players picking up their cheques. Manchester United, at one point the standard in England is now well and truly hurt. Yes, we can have a good day next week and smash them, but fans are not looking forward to a win, because the follow up will be a defeat or two. Things need to chance, because we are becoming a laughing stock again and every individual associated with United at the club need to take a look in the mirror, because our history is illustrated with triumphs but also events that are remembered every year. When you lack the quality your roll up your sleeves and fight for your club and fans. The secret of getting ahead is getting started, but since december we have well and truly taken a seat.

Nowhere near. We had some fight that night. The players clearly can't be arsed and nor can the manager,
Yes, we came back from 2-0 down at Old Trafford that night. Cantona was still banned. Less than eight months later, we'd done the double. We had fight and spirit in abundance. Now we have little more than excuses.

Not saying he's a great player, I've actually never heard of him before, but he took full advantage of our poor form and made our defense look like amateurs.
Romero made some very good saves. Can't be faulted with the first goal, but maybe could've done more on the second.

I think that is precisely it. Either they want him out, the things we criticised Chelsea players for, or they know he is going and are just playing out the season. Problem with that is that fans are still paying good money to watch you, so do the right thing and give them something back.
No way do those players put in two back to back "performances" like that under Fergie. I can't abide by players giving up..

 I can imagine the frustration most of you must be going through. United are doing a major Torres here.

I mean, you gave us serious trouble in the CL just a few years ago ffs.

If Fergie was the manager they wouldn't be in this position. People say they have no fight, but to me the fight comes from the manager. Ours has none. That can be easily transmitted to the players. At the moment the players are a reflection of their manager. Get a rabblerouser in and in the summer a few more signings and there will be a big change.

Glad i can't see football for some time. Not having Internet in the new apartment is great.
Om another note, hope Woodward and vangle jump off a cliff.

Tim Sherwood it is then ;)

The law of Murphy only matched by the bullshit of LVG.
Loool I quite like his attempt. Its like Jose Mourinho excuse generator on steroids. Next he'll blame Pavlovian conditioning. "If we score a goal my players are conditioned to curl up into a timid defenceless, gutless, animal and let our opponents walk all over us. Kind of like a tortoise retreating into its shell. Part of the philosophy is to break this cycle but its going to take another 15 months so I need a 1-year contract extension before you can judge whether the process has been a success."

Something is rotten in Denmark. Couldn't resist.

We showed less spine than an amoeba tonight. That was pathetic.
