I love Jose, but feck me, that was a shithouse performance, long before Fellaini Fellaini'd. I can't even remember being in there half more than twice in that last 45.

I know we're missing a lot of players, but I swear every team in the bottom half would've put on a better attacking performance than that. Ugly as sin.
No excuse for this.

I've defended Felli for a reason all season. But considering our injury situation, that was fecking stupid.

Excruciating.

Basically conceding the game to City after giving them free reign over the ball. We can blame the players all we like and give them negative ratings and whatnot, but Mourinho is in part culpable for the negative tactics today

We had three central players out, and we were away to City. If you ever expected us to run the game you were fooling yourself. Our chance was always going to be on the counter, and it was a good plan. The only problem is that, with Pogba out, we didn't really have anyone to send Rashford away behind the City defense. Carrick could have done it, but he played so deep that he rarely had the ball in the position to do it. Martial and Mkhi did little more than run the ball into trouble, and Fellaini doesn't have the skillset to see an open pass, let alone create anything.

It wasn't even a head butt. They went head to head and Aguero went down like he'd been shot, but yeah no blame on Aguero.
No because that's the game, he put his head up against aguero having just been booked and play had stopped because he fouled ....aguero!
He's a total idiot and has no place in our team, why do it? Why act like a big oaf and put yourself in that position? No other player on the pitch would of done that and he deserves all he gets.

I was hoping he was going to kick off more and get an extended suspension

Pragmatic game from Jose. Without Pogba's bazooka passes, we really didn't have much chance mounting any kind of counter attack, nor could we beat City in possession. So we had to park the bus and hope for a chance, and we did get one when Bravo made a poor intercept to a cross, but once again we didn't convert it.

Overall this is a vital draw for us. We're still within 1 points to city, meaning all we need is to win one more game and they draw one more. Given our depleted squad, this is an acceptable negative game. Again we shown how resilient our defense are, even against 11+ ref, we stood strong. I can't say I'm happy to see us not trying to win against our rival, but I have to admit I got a grin on my face when the point was secured.

If ever a draw was a win it was today. We came in missing our two best players in an away fixture to City, who looked like they were at full strength. The red card just punctuates all of it.

Sky are so butthurt about our approach, feck off. De Gea had no major saves to make.

I think Jose set us up today to not lose, rather than go for the win, and anything more is a bonus. He has done the exact same tactics twice with Liverpool this season would you not agree?
In many ways whilst this game was painful to watch, the end result is actually not bad.

The ghosts of moyes will haunt us forever and ever, isnt it? Its like everyone knew he going to do a fouliani everytime he gets the ball.. He hardly can pass in tight spaces, 0 forward passes and non existant aerial presense. He is literally an upright-holderless-toilet brush that is also a human version of a period cramp.

Pogba presence would've changed nothing, we went for a draw and no injuries, so I guess Mou will be happy.

We seem to be well drilled defensive side without much talent up front, but that's mostly because we attack with 3 players.

I disagree, I felt we really missed Pogba tonight. He hasn't been a world beater here yet, but he does give us a presence in midfield and can be a dominating figure, swap him with Fellaini and even ignoring the red card I think we do more in the game.

Second was really bad. Shame Herrera missed that header. We also managed to hold our own in the first half for periods.

Second half the pressing of City while leaving a foot in on our players wasn't getting seen. Rashford was kicked all over but that's Pep's game plan to press hard and leave them with knocks. Anytime we tried to match it the ref blew.

Just hope Jose can replace Fellaini with someone better. He does more bad than good, just awful at passing and never the quality we should be looking for. We really missed Pogba though, no Rojo and Ibra, many matches played, I'll take a point towards catching Liverpool or City.

Feel like we will be harshly judged but remember - our players have played a fecking ridiculous amount of football in April and it's clearly taking its toll

As long as he was Fellaini getting sent off, he should have gotten in a proper shot at that loathsome headless chicken Knut Aguero. Diving, cheating, whining POS.

Feel sorry for Felliani, first was a booking fair enough, Aguero dived for the second and the way he went down after that "headbutt" was embarrassing.
Feel sorry? Its a definite red card he headbutted him clear as day. Allways a red card waiting to happen. feck him off in the summer

mourinho not having a stick with first 11 doesn't translate into our squad being strong. a bunch of our players have underperformed several times hence him constantly having to tinker with the team

Which teams in the league have stronger squads?

Also good to know that we can pull these performances out when needed.

Say we are in the CL next season and needing a draw in the 2nd leg of a tie. These sort of performances will stand us in good stead.

Absolutely, I've already said I would have taken a draw at the start. I just believe we have more about us than what we just served up.

Really boring but probably our hardest remaining fixture (including Spurs) and the point helps us towards top 4.

We really did look a poor team out there tonight. Falling over (Martial, Bailly), failing to control the ball, running into trouble (Mkhitaryan), unable to see relatively straightforward passes to Rashford in the first half, terrible clearances (Valencia), weak challenges (Carrick, Herrera), defensively asleep (Bailly) when Aguero hit the outside of the post and a special mention for Darmian, whose passing was atrocious.

Herrera's header from Rashford's freekick was an awful attempt for a professional footballer. That was never a near post header, had to be far post.

Considering the injuries we have we've done extremely well to come out of that game with a point and still be in a position to get top 4.

Yes we were dire going forward but this was never going to be anything other than a defend deep and hope we nick a goal (something that nearly happened!)

It was awful to watch but no injuries, still in the running for top 4 and we've probably annoyed the hell out of City (who lets be honest will feel like they've dropped 2 points).

What funny is most here talked about Fellaini incident like we were having a good game or even planned to win. At least he played well before the send off unlike Mikhi who invisible in 2nd half and Herrera who kept winning back the ball he, himself gave away in multiple occasions.

Luckily, Bailey played well today as well as Valencia. Carrick is MOTM for me, the only one with composure in the middle and read the game/ball well.

He hit the outside of the post.

Herrera and Mkhitaryan had guilt edge chances too.

If you take the emotion out of the game City did very little despite knock the ball about.

Outside or not, it was a more dangerous chance than anything we produced. There is no emotion to take out of this, City weren't impressive but they had the best chance to score

Not much joy in the football tonight but can't really complain about the result. Away, against a better team on the night, we did what we had to do.
