How did Harry miss that at the end , I suppose we will take the draw considering our form but fooking hell how do we butcher so many gilt edge chances.

Definitely a great effort. Think we all thought at 2-1 they'd bitch out like always but finally they showed some spine. Unlucky to not get 3 points at end

Really good performance, felt weird deserved the win, but a really encouraging game. Hopefully it's not just a response to recent performances and is just the team starting to put things together

Great stuff. The best we've played there since Juanfield and the probably the only time since that we've deserved anything more than a draw.

Telling myself that Zirkzee was offside for the Maguire chance and so it wouldn't have counted anyway.
His right arm was offside. Goal would have counted.

What did I tell you @Sandikan ???

Maguire prevented my exact prediction but I knew the lads would put in the work today.
Think it was offside, but that was about as superb a performance as any on us could have asked.

Basically a much improved version of Arsenal away with some attacking threat.

Great performance but so confusing to see us be so bad and so good just a few days apart.

There were a lot of standout performances today but I think Ugarte was excellent. Easy to go under the radar doing the job he does.

Best performance at Anfield in a long time, could have won it and it’s something to build on.

Didn’t give us a chance before the game and let’s hope it’s a turning point and we repeat that type of performance against lesser opponents.

Think we deserved the win imo, shame it fell to Maguire with essentially the last kick, but I can’t fault any player that played today.

Great game of football. Anfield is still the toughest away fixture of the season and they have such fire power, but the team were great today and deserved their point and could have won it. We defended deep when we needed to but we took the ball and were brave and took the game to them. Fair play to Amorim, who had the week to train and his team performed.

It’s not 3 points but it’s a point that stops the rot and should give the team the confidence it needs to go forwards. Its typical to raise your game at times like these but we need to do this regularly and we won’t have a problem finishing in Europe.

The extremes on here are funny. Now we apparently just need “a couple of players” to be an incredible team

Would have won that game if we had a better striker. A magnificent performance by many players, especially Bruno who was outstanding.

Need a striker. Its not just that hojlund doesn't convert the chance, its that because he is still learning his position, half the chances we create don't even count as chances because dangerous balls in are to no one, because he is just not where he should be.

Even a half decent striker would transform this team, and hojlund may have a chance of becoming a player for us in a couple of years time.

Considering the last two games and the debacle that they were, coming away with a 2-2 draw away at the leaders isn't the worst result. Relegation my backside. There is something there, we need a forward and a LWB in January, if we do that we could see a strong end to the season. Play like that over the next 3-4 league games and things may start looking up

Shaking after that

We deserved the goals and even more but need to be more clinical if we want to win games like these. Still a very good perfomance and first time Amorim's playstyle was fulfilled correctly.

If we lose/tie against Southampton, it's useless so let's keep building momentum.

I understand nothing of the criticism of Højlund today. Crazy. He misses a chance against a good goalkeeper, but otherwise plays a really good game. He has a huge work effort, holds onto the ball well, is physically strong and makes many good runs (as if he does with his chance). It's like some fans just need someone to shoot at.

If today's midfield 3 play that well we've got a superb base - it's that we barely ever put that 3 out, and they haven't been playing that well either!

I fought and fought the hope all game, unable to trust the good performance before my eyes but as soon as the equaliser went in I was gone. Back in the throes of what it was to believe we can compete with the best teams. Fantastic performance, total commitment, total focus and most importantly the bravery to take the game to them and not just hang on scared to lose. All that was missing was a beautiful cherry on the top at the end.

I'm enthused, really fecking enthused

We'll do arse on Sunday

Bruno’s best game in many a season, he was immense and a massive shout to Ugarte too, what a difference he makes in that midfield.. relegation anyone ?

The fact that I'm sitting here pissed off that we didn't comfortably beat the best team in the league shows how good that was.

Now, ffs guys, keep the momentum going.
