We didn't win but that was by far our best performance of the season. We should have scored four goals at Anfield. Can't remember the last time I said that. Now we need to take that momentum and performance level into games against lesser teams than Liverpool.

It's rare when we can't fault neither the effort nor the quality but today is that day. It's a shame we didn't get the win - I wouldn't have picked Maguire for that chance at the end, if I were asked in advance - but in our current state a point achieved with decent football at Anfield is a bloody triumph.

Although I'm gutted Maguire missed that sitter for a famous win still overall unexpected winter warmer and full deserved at least a draw out of that game. I've seen many United teams play in Anfield including every match under Ferguson and that was among the best United performances in that venue. Need to build on it now and get up the table.
