Ronaldo's ego
Incorrectly predicted the 2020 US Election
Crap, on to the next.
Almost every time we won the ball we passed back to the CBs.Football is about risk. If Amorim continues to sacrifice creativity and attack for possession, I don't see him lasting at United. He will be out of the door by end of next season.
I'm sure Amorim knows this, that's why he berated his players at half time for the lack of urgency and also made the subs.I hate that it doesn`t seem the players are allowed to attack until we are a goal down and chasing with 20min to go. We can attack, we can create problems for Leicester, but we choose to just pass it backwards all the time, just trying to keep it safe… IT DOES NOT WORK RUBEN!!
I don't know if we're still playing a high line or not -- because the team is really too boring to watch. But, perhaps the emphasis on players doing everything except score means this is what we see (if we bothered to watch!) -- slow, plodding, conservative, non-attacking soccer.I'm sure Amorim knows this, that's why he berated his players at half time for the lack of urgency and also made the subs.
Clearly he wants us to attack and dominate from the kickoff.
There's something holding us back in going for the jugular and I can't quite put my finger on it.
We've won 6 of our last 8 games...That celebration by our players tells you all you need to know - It has been some time since we last won a game so it's something worth celebrating for.
You should rewatch every minute of it. Else risk caf ban.
It is not fair that some get to watch only the highlights.
Can’t believe I’m seeing ‘locker room’ and ‘Chris Sutton was right’ in the same page!
I think that comes down to initiatives in front. If there aren't any, the safe pass back is the correct choice. No coincidence that this changed when Garnacho came on and gave us a second outlet (Amad always seems to be trying, at least). Then in turn that lets Bruno and the back 3 get more involved in the final third. Every time we have a spell of attacking pressure, that features. It's like a threshold we need to get over to be in a position to create anything. I don't think that happens simply through passers and carriers being more adventurous. But maybe it's part of it.The number of times a midfielder got the ball and first thought was to pass it backwards was incredible. The goal is the other fecking way!!!
Leicester had SO much time on the ball in the centre of midfield it beggared belief.
First half was as bad as it gets.
Someone will have to explain to me why you play your new left back at right back and keep Dalot on the left where he’s been genuinely awful for months. Makes zero sense and if it continues questions are going to have to be asked about Amorim. Football is often not that complicated, play a left footer on the left and vice versa, all this inverted winger stuff is bollocks.
We were bailed out by garnacho and the Lino.
Depressing…….
For sure, last thing we need is a team 2/3 divisions below us and coming to Old Trafford and out playing us.Hope we get an away draw next.
Recently we just seem to have been better away from home. The home support seems so tense and is transmitting to the players while the away support just sing their support constantly throughout the game. For sure, last thing we need is a team 2/3 divisions below us and coming to Old Trafford and out playing us.
Like everyone else.
I think it's more that the team works better counter attacking than when it is at home and expected to break teams down.Recently we just seem to have been better away from home. If you play inverted wide players then their first touch is always going to go back on their stronger foot, and then they are facing the CBs so they pass to where they are facing as a low risk pass. It doesn't make any sense to play two inverted wide players on the same side.Issue with the first half was the super slow build up. Always passing backwards and waiting for opponents to get back into formation to defend. They seem to be afraid of making mistakes.
Need to move the ball forward faster. Don't wait until we are behind to start taking risks.
