Horrendous first half, vastly improved second. Garnacho a must going forward. Why on earth he took Dorgu off at ht I don't know. Zirkzee excellent when ge came on, Rasmus' travails continue. We're a conundrum at the moment, no doubt.

People will focus on individuals, mostly the negatives, but it’s not about that. It’s how we set up. This system undoubtedly needs two fast and direct players who are excellent ball carriers on the flanks. We were completely different when Amad went to the right, and Garnacho provided pace and width as the left 10.

Moving forwards we need Amad as RWB and Dorgu as LWB. Dalot as LWB is a huge handicap. Players CMs as forwards is bizzare. People were ripping on Mainoo but playing him as a forward or false 9 is just ridiculous. Rotate him as a CM. Primary starting two should be Ugarte and Bruno.

Big doubts over Amorim and the system for me. Happy we're through but it was basically evens Stevens against relegation fodder.
Playing Dorgu at RWB was just bizarre

First half was dreadful. Better teams will punish us severely if we continue to start games and play like that.

2nd half was better first half couldn't get much worse.

Mainoo Dalot Hojlund really worry me.

We are thru i guess that's all that matters

That was another difficult watch. Dorgu, Yoro, Garnacho had some good moments but this is really really poor football most of the time. So little attacking threat, gaps everywhere, Dalot at left back. Awful!

Always happy to win but not a single thing has improved since all the awful losses we've had lately. If this doesn't change, we are only postponing our doom in all the competitions...

Thank feck we didn’t have to endure extra time. What an awful performance.

Garnacho changed the game. The only player we had who looked constantly threatening.

It'll get lost because of how bad the first half was, but that was utterly dominant in the second. Did they have a touch in the final third?

I dread to think about the campaign against us and the offside though. Sigh.

Garnacho is a few football iq points from being really good. But will he get them?

Woeful first half, much better with a wing back with some sort of attacking thrust in the 2nd half.
Amad is much better out wide, to perhaps the shock of no-one!

Good for Zirkzee to get a positive contribution in too.

Really good display from Garnacho, willing to get at his man repeatedly even though often it's thwarted.

It's getting a bit tiring scraping results against teams we should be looking to destroy to boost morale.

Maguire was offside as well - how did the linesman miss that off a free kick when he knows there is no VAR

play zirkzee in midfield: he links play well and presses well. and being just behind rasmus gives him a little bit more time.

garno changed match. not much else to say

Thank goodness we didn't ship him out or we'd be utterly woefully short of options.

That was not pretty at all, but through to the next round is a positive.

First half was one of the most boring of the season to be honest. Second half was marginally better, but not exactly great either. Credit to Garnacho, anything decent basically involved him.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking, but if Zirkzee could go on a bit of a goalscoring run now, that would be badly needed. Not sure he's that sort of player.

Great moment for Maguire at the end though. Great ball by Fernandes and Maguire did so well with that header. Obviously got lucky with the offside decision.

I hate that it doesn`t seem the players are allowed to attack until we are a goal down and chasing with 20min to go. We can attack, we can create problems for Leicester, but we choose to just pass it backwards all the time, just trying to keep it safe… IT DOES NOT WORK RUBEN!!

Leicester's goal fell straight into the player, Garnacho's shot went off the bar and out. So I'm gonna chalk that offside winner as luck finally leveling out for us. Leicester can feel hard done by, but that's just how it is. Ruud getting Fergie time'd is a bit poetic.

There are severe problems with the mentality of these players. Some of the basic stuff that we were missing before scoring was amateur level. It's nothing new and can't be fixed mid season. Just hope that we get to the end of the season with some confidence.

Was linesman blind? I mean we won, but it was such blatant offside. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Feel's fantastic to win in Fergie time. However, in the cold light of day we should all be worried that a second string Leicester team was getting oles at Old Trafford and we would still be playing if VAR was in operation.

Amorim's tenure so far feels a lot like Ralf Rangnick's time at Old Trafford: A strong start, high xG, belief drains away, xG falls back to par, results go south.

The more we labour to victories against Championship level opponents, the harder its going to be for players, fans, everyone to have confidence in what this coach wants. Hard to see this as any more of a platform than beating Southampton was.

Whoever thinks we should sell Garnacho is an idiot.

The celebrations having just beat Leicester at home after that performance is just embarrassing

Why weren't we fighting each other?

Seeiously, terrible performance but we got the result.

We spent how much in a LWB player to play him on the opposite flank. Why?
Dalot is piss poor as a LWB.

I'm expecting Geovani Quenda (if hes signed) to start at CB on his debut.

Terrible performance and the manager should be torn a new one on why he's fecking about with inverted wing backs.

This is going to be bad before it gets any better to such an extent that he could be sacked within the next three to five games.

You can kind of see what he wants from the second half (first half was braindead football) one touch passing to break through the lines and using the width. But he doesnt have the players to do this.

We are playing with three CBs which means we are a man down in the attacking third, which the first half showed how easy it was for Leicester to break down our attacks.

I dont know. If he had his own players especially in striker and MF we could do better.

No idea why did he take off Dorgu and not Dalot. Dorgu was probably the best player in the first half

I'm so glad that didn't go into extra time! Couldn't take another 30 minutes of watching really sh!tty football by two teams struggling to find rhythm and form.

For all the decisions that have gone against us all of this season, I guess we deserved a little bit of unfairly allowed goals!

Cannot understand Amorim. Buys a LWB and plays him as RWB. Wtf?!

I don’t know why the first half was such a massive turd. I’m not sure whether it was Amorim trying to be clever or trying to experiment in a game that’s pretty low risk since it’s a second string Leicester, but boy was it an excruciating watch.

I hope Zirkzee benches Hojlund at this point. How many more chances is Hojlund going to get? Couldn’t make it happen against that Leicester back line.

As the first half goes, it was the classic "a terrible day to have eyes". Second half got better, but still far from great. That the abhorrent incompetence of the linesman to not see three or four United players being offside leads to the victory goal sums up the game perfectly.

Never in doubt. Amorim's intense training methods are showing off on the field. Give the guy 300M in the summer.

Hate to say it but it feels like one of the wins under ten hag. Played shit, somehow won, no confidence that things will improve next week. Basically just short term relief.

Leicester feigning injuries and killing momentum all the time was annoying.
