Slightly better second half, then again getting the ball in their box would’ve been better than the first. The gulf in class is so apparent and the worst part is, how and when does this improve with the current set up? The players nor manager seem to be up to the task so something’s got to give. And we all know it’s easier to get rid of one manager than replace a whole squad so that’s probably the only answer right now

Lindelof our best player by far. Young our worst, closely followed by Lukaku. The rest were bang average. Waste of 90 mins.

Most excited part was just now with Alexis running onto the pitch trying to take out Ronaldo

I thought we were good second half, hunted down the ball and played with some passion. Some good play but final ball was poor. Lindelof showed the potential he does have at last which was encouraging.
Mourinho has to start dropping his favourites though when they are off form, Lukaku and Matic were pretty awful again.

We had the game plan of underdogs. Sit deep, defend and try to knick a goal on the counter. Up to the 75th min we managed to summon only 2 attempts on goal - both coming from our CM.
Lukaku didn't see anything that he could get at the end of, Martial tried... but too little, too late.
Lindelof - was he at fault for the goal? Not sure, but he was our best player overall.
Still don't understand why we didn't try to bring a sub late on - I guess Jose is happy with the result. We got beaten only by a goal.
Europa league, here we go again.

Two home wins all season. Just god damn sack Jose and end this absolute bollocks.

Absolute shite. Compare the Juve attacking play to ours. They had method to theirs. Whilst our play is about getting lucky when the opposing team makes a mistake.

fed up at this stage.

This is the most comfortable 1-0 win I've witnessed in a long time. We never looked close to threatening. Juve are defensively as sound as they come.

If not for DDG/ Lindelof, this could have easily finished 3 or 4-0.

My only issue is with the lack of bravery, and keeping snails like Matic and Lukaku on. No courage at all. You'd think we were the away team playing in a two legged CL semi final. Very disappointed with Jose's tactics.

I worry about the next CL game.

For our owners, and sadly the ‘not yet brigade’, this shower of s**t is acceptable so who am I to argue!

More of the same next week??

We are a terribly coached team. Better coaching and a positive approach is needed. Just not working. We have no idea what to do out on the pitch. It's crazy that this great club has the worse coached players. Unbelievable.

We never really troubled them up front. That front three is so far below the level we need if we want to win games like tonight.

Lukaku honestly was embarrassing tonight, and looks shockingly out of his depth.

Matic should probably think about shuffling off to the retirement home.

Terrible in the first half, a bit better in the second but we could have played another 90 minutes and we wouldn’t have scored.

Too many passengers in the team. I can see why Jose bought Sanchez (even though he’s been shite), Rashford and Martial look lost against good defenders. Lukaku’s crap form continues, that touch where it bounced off his shin summed him up.

Lidelof was good.

Glad Ronaldo didn’t score, he actually didn’t play too well surprisingly.

What happened at OT, did juventus fans take over the stadium?!?!

Btw for those interested, at the end they were having a proper go at mourinho. "Mourinho uomo di merda", put it through google translate

Milan did that against Real Madrid back in 2010 as well. Italians don't like him much.

Is it sad that this is expected and accepted. We are falling fast, can we please drop Lukaku until he gets some fire and anger in his belly the man plays like a pussy cat. Barren couple of years ahead I'm afraid but I am a red through and through.

These "big" games aren't even tense or exciting any more. For a long time now we've looked out of our depth at the highest level and it feels like we're just making up the numbers. Even when if got a good result it'd be hard to get excited because it always feels like we're a maximum of two games away from reverting to being deeply average.

2 30 plus year olds owned 25 year old 90 m pound striker and other youth full of energy and athleticism. And we don't wanna buy older players better than our current bunch.

Also They ran 7 kms more than us.

First half was absolutely diabolical. The second was merely uninspiring, underwhelming, a tedious and futile struggle.

Matic poor. Fred, Herrera and Perreira should be a country mile ahead of him when it comes to the matchday squad.

Lukaku - utter shite. We would be more of a threat if we played two goalkeepers.

Big Dave, Lindelof, Mata, Shaw and Young did well, Pogba decent and almost scored.

Rashford was missing most of the game, Martial tried things but just wasn't his night - and he decided to not defend at all.

This will be us soon when it comes to Matic, skip to 1:20

JM can feck off with that bullshit

Lindelof was impressive and Smalling was pretty decent as well. Matic just atrocious, even worse than just letting people run off him it’s that when he eventually decides to pass a ball the pace on the pass is at walking pace. I’m not sure how much longer I can watch him be this bad in midfield.

That was embarrassing. The world has just seen us playing dire unattractive football once again. How much longer are we going to have to put up with it for. I personally don't see a lot different from LVGs reign of terror. Awful stuff

We are miles away from the top level, which is inexcusable.

They played so fluidly and with vibrancy. We look tired from kick off. Too many players going through the motions.

Lindaloff was brilliant

De Gea made his usual saves

The rest were complete shite

Special mentions to lukrapu and matic

We are probably the most poorly coached ‘big’ side in Europe. Against a seasoned European side like Juve it showed. We’re just going to sleepwalk until Mourinho’s exit.

I've backed Jose plenty, but if it meant Lukaku left with him then I'd happily wave goodbye to them both and our shit style of play.

I hope Woodward and Evra were watching.

Also, clear as day Jose took the L from the start after Valencia drew

Poor coaching, poor quality. First half embarrassing. But when isn’t it?

Very predictable result and type of game. I think the effort was there second half from most but the quality obviously not. Realistically the only two players elite teams would fancy of ours are De Gea and Pogba. We are basically a nothing team just making up the numbers in these competitions.

I can't see us getting through. Valencia couldn't even beat Michael Jackson's favorite team today yet beat us at Mestalla and we are out. Valencia have won 1 in 12 all season but I'd back them at home with a loud crowd I fancy they'd rise to the occasion and we don't have the temperament or balls to go there and get a result.

On the plus side of things that puts is back in the Europa League which would be our best bet of qualifying for next seasons champions league.

OT actually was quite lively when it looked as though we might do something. Continued ineptitude sucked the life out of the stadium at the end.
