Very poor by Mourinho, not convinced
Just looked at your very recent post history, WTF is your agenda? All you seem to do is post criticizing our manager.

Would not be so bad if we didn't need a performance and win to lift the team. But things can change quickly. Fair play to Hull, they played very well considering who they had out there.

With Bailly returning from AFCON and Shaw back in the squad hopefully this was the last time we ever have to see a Darmian-Jones-Smalling-Rojo back 4

Baily - should go straight back in.
Shaw - I don't trust him or that Jose will pick him. Jose is not an idiot to leave out his best players. If he isn't picking certain players it is clear that he believes they just aren't good enough. This makes me think that Shaw just isn't doing well enough in training.

Awful performance. Pogba looked so uninterested its a shame he was not taken out

This. In the first half we may as well have been playing with ten men.

Picked it up in the second half alright though.

Smalling is mentally weak and prone to lapses in concentration. His poor passing and technique is well known but its his mental weakness which makes him such a liability. Once he makes a mistake he panics, shuts down and makes a few more. Also has very poor tactical awareness and allows himself to be dragged out of position so easily. Hes been responsible for some of our biggest losses over the years. We no longer a young player and is unlikely to improve much more, its time to get rid of him.

Yes crazy to look first at the manager when the players do that. Trust me, that is the players' fault big time.

Love Jose but seriously some of his team selections are starting to piss me off. He moans about giving Martial a chance, but how many is he going to give Lingard? And what way is Rooney a better option on the left that Martial, or Mata?

Best post of the night for me.

Lingard aside from one cross against WBA hasn't had a good game in months yet gets unlimited chances. Mkhitaryan and Martial get criticised by him for seemingly less, it's weird.

Did mourinho give his interview? I suspect he wont be happy.
Here you are.

The boss isn't happy
Mourinho’s post match interview with Sky lasted an entire 15 seconds.

He is NOT happy!

He said:

“I congratulate my players for reaching the final.

“I don’t want to say anything else.

“ It is enough, I am calm, I behaved on the bench so no more words.”

Someone give the guy some birthday cake!

I feel we needed to rotate more, we have looked knackared for the past two games and even worse tonight.

We got away with it but we were very poor.

If we had lost in the PL or in the FA Cup it would have hurt us. Losing to Hull in the ELF Cup didn't prevent us from advancing and is the best time to get the loss out of the way.

Dwarfs and such, yo.

What's was that from Mou? I get he is pissed about the referee decisions but he had nothing to say about player performances?
He will keep it for private. They have two more matches coming quickly so he will not want to destroy their confidence.

Sounds like he needs more than that.....to get rid of his miserable disposition...

Sorry but I have to question Jose's selection tonight.

Why is Zlatan playing once again. He offered nothing tonight. Jose moans he can't give Martial a chance. Well play Rashford or Martial up top and give them a chance to prove themselves in their correct position.

Darmian was really poor again. Shaw needs minutes, play him! Likewise using Rojo at LB, shifting Jones over to accommodate Smalling, who has been terrible since he returned from injury.

I know we are through to the final and Jon Moss once again played the 12th man for the opposition (who now must have an agenda against us) but we are slowly looking off the boil. No pace, no urgency, no pass appreciation. It's needs sorting.

I'm sure they'll have been given an earful after that shambles. No particular need to say it in public.

We lack quality in depth to rotate much. Need new players in during the summer.

Maybe Pogba alright. He needs a rest, but it looked like (especially in the first half) that we didnt bother turning up. It wasnt that we were tired, just didnt care.

Scholesy is some kind of WUM or some kind of nutter, not sure which.

That is exactly it. We need to get rid of BFS if we are not going to lose him, Young, Darmian and Smalling and get quality either to start or bench options. A replacement for Carrick is vital.

Its a very trigger happy post match reaction on here, though. The match was shite, but all it was was an auto pilot performance. They need a kick up the arse, but the fact we're in a final is great.
Of course, but auto pilot is a shit attitude. Should have put the game to he'd, and then looked forward to the next game.

Good post, agree 100%

This is becoming clearer as the games go by. I'm a massive fan of him especially his personality but the truth is he doesn't contribute enough attacking wise, he's not positionally sound or strong enough defensively and he lacks the ability to control the game.

He should be a rotating player as he's not good enough to be guaranteed a starting spot IMO.

He's been the best of the midfield three by far though? We could probably get someone better than him in the summer, but he doesn't hide from making any defensive or attacking contribution like Carrick or peacock around the pitch constantly losing the ball like Pogba.
