It was fortunate and Everton self destructed. So, was this a promising and impressive hard fought comeback or was it just fortunate and Everton self destructed ?

Good point, but why are our 1st halves so insanely bad?
Horrific for 65 mins, then some decent subs, a bit of a shape change and some tempo in the game.
Can't believe VAR didn't give that with the 2 pulls but will take it.
Amorin can't start with that many defensive players again, it makes it too easy for the opposition.
He definitely hasn't but given that both Maguire and De Ligt had his arms and hands involved, I'd say we were quite lucky that it has been reviewed. From my perception so many pens like that get given.
I think, Everton would have deserved the win given that we didn't really offer anything of note for most of the game. Then it slipped away from Everton it got frantic. 2-2 is fair at the end. But the takeaway from this game has to be that this team has to do sooooooo much better. Starting by finally adding more intensity.

Once we got the first, it was like a switch got flipped and we started giving a shit. I don’t think Everton did a lot wrong. So, was this a promising and impressive hard fought comeback or was it just fortunate and Everton self destructed ?
Without fail (almost) the oppo team looks better prepared and plays with more energi when the game starts. This has been an issue under several managers. I don't get how no one is able to turn it around, and especially at Old Trafford. No idea, when Amorim was newly appointed and we were starting great, he was asked if he instructed them to do that, and he said no that was on the players. So I am assuming that this is the still the same, and still down to the players.
I agree. The Fernandes goal was just beautiful.A bit of both I think.
Nothing was happening at the wings without Amad or Garnacho. Although Dorgu played well, he is not an attacking threat.Onana is a professional keeper and somehow doesn't know how to pinch a ball away from danger
Zirkzee is such an odd player, zero intent or desire to impact a game, just stupid layoffs.
We can't have both De Ligt and Maguire
Our players kept crying for ghost pens
Great to get a draw at least, it would have been horrible to lose this
We have weak minded players
With Amad out, Garnacho has to play. Teams have to respect that we can hurt them on the counter
Possibly one of the worst performances I've seen us play in that first hour and you'll appreciate that's up against some stiff opposition these days. I think we had an xg of 0.04 , didn't work the keeper, midfield was outfought, attack was shite and the defence was calamitous. Not a penalty. Not a handball before that.
I started watching in the 60th and we were comfortably the better team, were we just crap in the first half?
Makes you wonder where they founds those attributes to become a professional sportsman.Urgency, Desire, Effort. The intangibles which so many of these players lack. Today the biggest culprits were Casemiro, Rasmus and Zirkzee.
We always start the first half too cautiously. So scared of making mistakes, passing backwards and sideways, rarely going forward. No idea, when Amorim was newly appointed and we were starting great, he was asked if he instructed them to do that, and he said no that was on the players. So I am assuming that this is the still the same, and still down to the players.

Yeah, a bit of both.A bit of both I think.
that's true, and throw in a lack of athleticism, pace and confidence. And yet in the second half there was some fight and hope.Urgency, Desire, Effort. The intangibles which so many of these players lack. Today the biggest culprits were Casemiro, Rasmus and Zirkzee.
He got 3% on MOTM! He didn't get much of the ball nor any shot. However, i do like that he kept attacks going and at least challenges and get the ball rather than a static and wasteful Rasmus.Wait, Obi played ?
Maguire was trying to solve the complex equation on the trajectory of the ball in the air which would help him decide how to head it and with how much strength. Of course he was disrupted by Dacoure while working it all out.I will keep saying it because it's obvious every game, these players are atrocious at the most basic requirements of professional PL footballers.
The goals we concede are pathetic at any level but at PL level it's just laughable. I mean watching maguire literally watch the ball fall to the ground while Dacoure heads it in is the very definition of moronic.
I'm afraid no tactician in the world will get these players to play cohesively they are just that bad and lack any sense of responsibility. Not saying Amorim is blame free but I am putting our current malaise squarely on the players.
Happens to even the best. Class is permanent, form is not.Maguire was trying to solve the complex equation on the trajectory of the ball in the air which would help him decide how to head it and with how much strength. Of course he was disrupted by Dacoure while working it all out.
It was a blatant dive, wtf are you talking about.Let off. That was a pen. They showed ref shitty angles
His username should tell you enoughI'm not having it that you're a United fan. You've posted a lot of negative stuff about the manager, wanting him fired if we lost today and are now arguing a blatant dive is a penalty.
Fixed that for youCan anyone remember the last time we had scored twice?

I am not saying it was a wrong decision on the penalty. But they have been given. Maguire is known for pulling shirts as well while on the other hand he is pretty physical to assume not every "hand on" him would lead to him falling to the ground. I think, we were pretty lucky with it. Both ways the decision would get questionedThat’s like saying, Everton defence had hands on Maguire twice and neither were (correctly) called as a pen
