Looking likely to score? Well of course they would be more attacking since they are down 1-0 at home.

But by and large I still believe we would have held out. The cardinal sin is to give away a penalty and we did just that because we put on an absolute donkey of a player who is supposed to give us "height".

I'd rather take our chances with Mkhi and Martial on the pitch seeing out the last 10 minutes.

Or at the very least throw on Schneiderlin or Schwiensteiger.

However, to underappreciate this performance is absolute horseshit. This makeshift backline (and team) worked their bollocks off. We should have come away with 3 points.

This. We had a tough game in the bag. Done the hard work getting the goal.

What Fellaini done is unforgiveable. Dont tackle him.

feck right off. Not every match allows him to score a 30 yard goal and thread through balls. This was a tough physical away game in which we largely came out on top.

The subsitute (Fellaini) is the one who cost us the 3 points. We were fine otherwise.

Pogba put in a great shift and so did the rest of this makeshift team.

Bollocks, we were nowhere near fine after 60 minutes and couldnt string together 2 or 3 passes. Just lofted hopless balls and kept giving it back to them. If not for Degea, we would have conceded earlier than Fellaini. So , we were going to concede with or without fellaini. He is just a scapegoat for the caf to beat on...Instead think of who brought him on and when he did.

What part of this team is makeshift, this is probably the best lineup we could have put in today, except for probably the CB's.

It was Jose that cost us today, like he did against Arsenal.

If you invite pressure, it will come. Knocking long balls up to a 35 year old for 45 minutes with very little support isn't going to win you games when you're up against it.

Fellaini made a stupid mistake, and deserves most of the criticism he will receive, but you cannot bring a player whose entire game relies on the chaos he brings, on for the final 5 minutes away from home against his old club when we're defending a lead.

It wasn't as if Everton were even relying on long balls to Lukaku. They were for the most part playing the ball on the ground and Blind would have probably been a much better choice.

Had to stop myself posting a couple of times there. Haven't been this angry after a game since West Ham away last year.

I'm getting so sick of complaining about us taking the foot off after going a goal ahead. They can't possibly be that stupid so I guess they just don't give a shit.

Jose needs to be dragged into an office by his ear tomorrow morning and told if that's how he thinks Manchester United makes substitutions at a goal up, he can feck off.

Pathetic. Everton were useless today until we stopped playing football for so long, that they had no choice but to eventually try and score.

Completely this. It's gut-churningly enraging to even think about United at the moment. If we were collectively dreadful, genuinely non-league level bad, at football you'd understand bad performances and results. It's that we know there's a good team in there somewhere, we're just so so much worse than the sum of our parts.

How was it a makeshift team? Pogba was average at best today.

Rojo, Jones and Darmian?

Come on mate. They defended like warriors today. Only to be undone by a stupid piece of shit masquerading as a footballer.

Not the first time that cnut has disappointed.

Deserved the 3 points. Lost them due to a single individual error.

Goodison a hard place to go but we should have killed it off after HT.

Hererra scores instead of hitting the woodwork and I think we win by a couple of goals. Yet again you will always struggle away from home when only 0-1 up.

Totally agree fellaini is a failure of a sub, SAF would shut up shop but by bringing on a safe passer like butt or fletcher or park someone to keep it simple and win the ball.
Not purely for height to head a ball, it was almost like admitting we aren't going to stop them in midfield we're going to defend from our own goal line
That's the exact thought I had, too. We sit way too far back to defend a lead allowing the oppositions best players all the time on the ball to create something and it inevitably comes back to bite us in the butt. It frustrates me that José keeps doing it.

To be honest....if we can't make top four, and if you look at the table, don't we have to win like three or four games with the others in the top four dropping points, then I'd prefer we missed out on the Europa League. I know it's a chance this season, but dam we could do without it next.

I can't believe we're only just into December and I'm sitting here thinking we have to win the Europa if we want CL.

Hopefully, this will be the final straw for Jose, regarding Fellaini.
I hope Fellaini never plays for us again.

Starting to think thAt if we would have give Van hall another year , and with a full transfer window, how would we be doing now ? I'd bet my bottom dollar, we would be better off than we are now. 2 wins in 11 premier league games !!! Christ on a bike !!

As emotions are running high i guess Fellaini and Mou will get most of the blame, but we had them on the ropes the first 15 mins on the second half and should have kept on that pressure. From 60 mins onwards we just stopped playing football altogether.

Mou might have told the players to defend the lead, but i really doubt he told them to fold as pathetically as they did. It's not the managers fault the players can't string more than two passes together

Hmm...it is actually.. And that was the same stick we used to beat Moyes and LVG with.

Everyone in here could see that goal coming miles away. If Jose sees that players lack composure, make subs which will change it and be proactive about it. The game was calling out for a sub from us around the 60 minute mark. The subs were too late and if not for DDG, the goal would have come irrespective of Fellaini.

Yeah, Jose is pretty much terrible, but let's give him some time guys, shall we?
Maybe in a few eons he could lift the Charity Shield for us or something.

Killing off games by parking the bus like this and getting results while doing so works only when you have tactically disciplined and strong defensive teams like Mou's old Chelsea and Inter. It will never work with us when we have so many fragile, undisciplined players with no composure.

Ok, I am going to try and keep my temper but it's going to be difficult.

We were so poor in the first half, Everton were worse. We were gifted the opening goal but apart from that we never really looked threatening, the movement was poor, the passing was poor, the energy levels were dreadful. Everton were there for the taking, we just didn't look interested.

Rojo's tackle was disgusting, straight red, no arguments. Zlatan should also have gone for that naughty kick to Colemans face.

From there we came out better in the second half, Herrera had a chance to make it 2-0, but apart from that we never looked dangerous at all. We then ALLOWED Everton back into the game. We stood off, we sat deep we decided to protect the 1-0 lead. Mhiky decided to stop running, probably due to cramping. Rashford came on and offered absolutely nothing, apart from his goal, which was taken brilliantly to his credit, Zlatan was awful. no movement, hardly any pass completion in fact the only time he did chase back he should have been sent off. Was Martial even playing? Pogba had a few nice touches here and there but looked well off the pace.

And then there's Fellaini. Get him out of my club. No common sense, mediocre footballing ability, A walking red card. The brain dead decision to dive in in the box when we are clinging on to a lead deserves a week wages fine IMO. it was the only thing he offered to the game, so poor. At this stage you could sell him for a tenner and it would represent good business sense.

In previous weeks when we have drawn games i have been able to defend the performance and see some positives. I'm not defending that.

Useless, cowardly, spineless and braindead. pathetic!

Unbelievable, when will Mourinho learn that Fellaini isn't an option to close a game out. He gives away far too many fouls for attacking teams.

People blaming Jose mourinho for negative tactics must realize the team lacks energy to last 90 mins on the same intensity. We lack the work rate in our team and the team tires after an hour or seventy minutes after every game that's the harsh reality which also happened under lvg. People claiming we drop too deep is because we lack the energy after 70 mins and loose many many second balls and hence the pressure creeps up. And as always dumb idiotic fellani let us down..how many points we have lost because of him. Ours is a work rate and energy issue pogba Carrick zlatan it creeps up pressure on us for not winning first and second balls after 70 mins every effing game

If we were to concede then it would have taken something special to beat us. Especially with the form De Gea was in.

You also really underappreciate how hard the players worked out there today. Even Rojo and Darmian really held up and reduced their errors.

Conceding a penalty was an absolute disgrace of a way to drop points. Especially when coming on as a sub to SPECIFICALLY defend the game and kill it off. It reeks of a lack of concentration, preparation and general intellegence. It also made Mourinho look like an absolute fool to put his trust in Fellaini.

Was a terrible challenge that didnt need to be made. He was also late to it because he got caught ball watching and completely fecked up his marking.

We didnt look like holding out at all though the entire team was pathetic after 60mins. It wasnt even a pen anyway.

Anyway feel free to go on your angry rant against one player though i dont really care.

It might work when your defence is terry carvalho and essian/makalele in front but not rojo jones and fellaini

There is an Everton player in the SKY studio - Leon Osman.
He made some interesting comments about Fellaini.
He said in training, Fellaini ALWAYS makes clumsy errors. For example, he'll elbow someone or step on their toe, by mistake. So,what Everton used to do is get Fellaini into the opposition box and have him play there, creating chaos. They would never ask Fellaini to play in their own box, because they knew he'd make a mistake and eventually give something to the opposition.

Honestly, when we missed the Herrera chance I knew it would be a draw.

We arent the kind of team that kind afford to do that.

Herrera worked his bollocks off today but did absolutely nothing in keeping the ball or creating chances. Many times he got into Carricks way in the first half.

He is a good squad player but I really dont rate him as a long term first eleven player if we are to win titles. Harsh but I think his consistency will never be there.

Which of ye feckers gave Fellaini a 2? How in god's name is he on 1.3? He doesn't deserve to be on 1.

Fellaini clearly the MoTM by a mile. Changed the course of the match on his own in less than 3 mins.

you need to see that it was a clear penalty, did he make a challenge in the box? Yes. does he get the ball ? No. Does he make contact with the player? Yes.
It's a pen from an absolute sham of a footballer

Try looking at the back 4.

With Bailly and Smalling I think we would have been cruising today.

What did Jones (MOTM) or Rojo do wrong? Rojo should’ve been off, but our centre back pairing was really good today, once again.

Just leave Fellaini at Goodison, maybe he can get a game for Everton. How many times is this going to happen, there is a way to go in the season yet but really, United are going to have to fight to get top 4 at this rate. Jones continues to look good at CB since his return, looking forward to him pairing with Bailly. Another two points dropped to another poor team, it looked likely they would score as United dropped off for the last 20 minutes or so and let Everton back into the game.
Hugely frustrating, to put it mildly.

Problem is he put the referee in a position to make a choice. Maybe it wasnt a pen, but we also escaped a red for Rojo.

These decisions even out.

The main thing everyone is angry about is how a professional footballer can make such a massive error at that key conjecture of the game. Coming on as a sub with SPECIFIC instructions to defend and not concede. Its a joke and goes to show these cnuts just dont care or arent good enough to make it here. Either way they need to go. Overpaid and undeserving of the shirt.

Thought we gave the ball away too many times again. Pogba is the emperors new duds.
