Post-match discussion

I used to quite like him yeah.

Maybe it's since Fergie went?

Whenever we play well or win a big game he's always looking for some snide little comment to undercut Utd. He was acting like we'd completely parked the bus, total bollocks.

Who are you referring to?

I feel so relaxed now :D,what a performance.

Masterclass from Jose,he need few more players to have a complete team.No doubt we would be in top form next season.

Very impressive and solid performance today. Most tasty 3 points this season. This gives a lot of hope for future.

It was a shocking lineup and the first time under Jose he's gotten that type of performance from the team. Get the feck over yourself. Smart money was on it not working.

No, I'm enjoying reveling on your self-pity.

Just jesting fella, don't get all defensive about it :p

But, in truth, you did get it majorly wrong and thus should repeatedly slap yourself with a wetfish. Or a wet... something. Meh you get the picture.

I thought today would be a good day for us, simply because there wouldn't be the same pressure on us as there would Chelsea. We played very well, but let's get some perspective, Chelsea really didn't show up.
They have run into poor form and are stuttering. We played them at the best possible time :)

What's more disappointing about this season is that, we have been unbeaten in 21 and should we have turned even 3 of those draws into victories, we could relax a bit about our end of season schedule.

Happy we got the win and are still in with a shout for the top 4.
Chelsea were poor on the day it has to be said.
More of the same next Thursday please.

Chelsea aren't going to win anything this season. Cahill just said 'we go again' in his post match interview

That performance was a total breath of fresh air at a moment when it felt like our season was starting peter out somewhat. The impact this has on our season is big as it keeps us in touch of the top four with games in hand but I think it'll resonate beyond that. It is the vindication that Mourinho and the team needed; showing fans, pundits and opponents that we are indeed going in the right way.

We've got a really tough run of fixtures coming up - granted this has been the case pretty much since October - but the bigger clubs will certainly have more to contend with when preparing to face us which can only be a good thing. To often it's been the case that teams know exactly what they're about to face before the game's even kicked off - this being the main cause of so many draws at home.

Maybe I'm basking too fondly in the glow of that performance but that felt like something clicking today, and I'm not sure if I've felt that properly all season. The only red mark on this being why has it taken until Easer Sunday, but - hopefully - the long-term positive being at least it has arrived.

So much anger.
Either you don't support MUFC or you had a bet and lost a lot of money when we won today.

Great peformance ... rashford gave their defenders nightmares all day , we hunted in packs and won every 2nd ball there was to win .... we gave them
Absolutely nothing all day

Shout out to Cahill for picking up Lingaard just before the 2nd goal... well done

Commentators just ripping this team apart. Hazard-Costa-Pedro against Young-Rashford-Lingard. Hahahahahahaha. This is sad regardless of Europa league. This is what we are putting out against Chelsea at home in the middle of April.

Lingard and Rashford will spend more time on the ground than on their feet causing any problems. Weak players. Bullshit team. Really embarrassing.

Feel bad for the guy tbh. I know he's paid through the roof, but he didn't sign up to play against Chelsea alongside that low/mid table group of trash.

Yea. Fellaini, Darmian, Lingard, Young, 19 year old Rashford proven nothing.

We've put out a mid table team + Pogba and DeGea today.

And so many claim we have one of, if not the strongest squads in the league. Shocked they'd still claim as much today.

Jose has done more for his old club today than his current one. Well played.

All that utter shit and you still have the cheek to tell someone to get the feck over themselves. Jog on!

Nothing shocking at all apart from your prediction and opinion.

what happened is that your lack of footballing nous and understanding got shown up big time.

Suck it up.

Couldn't watch the match....just caught up now...but reading the post team announcement comments on the Caf made me embarrassed....it was a cascade of vitriol against Jose and a number of the players. I won't be reading them again in future....so many don't seem to be real fans at all....

I must admit I felt deflated when the teams were announced, but you could feel the confidence from the start.

It was fergie esque from the start. From the team sheet, to the man marking, and the counter attacking football. We looked better to the man in every department.

We also had a bit of luck, something we've not had in many games at OT this year.

All in all a brilliant display from a young team full of energy.
Rashford is a diamond, the kid has absolutely blistering pace.

Hard to leave him out for Anderlecht now.

Still buzzing from Mourinho's tactical plan and our players ability to pull it off. Really chuffed for him today, this win gives him confidence and validation for all the work he has put in this season. It will provide him the spiritual fuel to believe in himself.

2 goals, plenty of clear chances, no chances on goal for Chelsea, majestic performances from Young, Fellaini, Darwin, Lingard and Rashford. I'm not sure anything could be improved.

Exactly. Doesn't even have the graciousness or good humour to take it well. If you look at some of his quotes in my post though you'll see he was proper going for it. Absolutely hilarious how wrong he was. I wonder how much joy someone like that actually gets out of football if that is their attitude tbh.

Read that it was the first time this season we scored in the first 20 minutes at Old Trafford in the PL. Surely not!?
