Best performance of the season, with an interesting line-up to say the least.

I thought Darmian was excellent, Bailly and Rojo had superb matches, Herrera best player on the pitch, Rashford frightened the life out of their defence, Lingard looked lively, Young super apart from his awful shooting. Pogba was our worst performer.

What a great game that was.

Showed what were capable of. Chelsea looked like an LVG team. Zero shots on target.
In terms of discipline, Tactically, and performance wise great show.

Rashford motm for me, with Herrera very close. Without that great finish game might have been diffrent.

GGMU

What I like about it is Jose proving to us all that he is the main man at the club, no player will come before him as he benches Ibra just he like did with Rooney...everything that Moyes and LVG couldn't do.

name them and shame them.
can I do it?

Its a joke. Clubs a laughing stock

cue meltdown

Martial not even on the bench.

Absolute joke, what a state!

We won't score, our two impotent forwards are up on their own.

Awful. I used to mock Liverpool when they used to rest players in the league for Mickey Mouse cups...

Now look at us

Horrific line up, fecking Young slimes in out of nowhere, the giant turd starting and our only actual goal scorer on the bench, cowardball from Jose.

Jose's love affair with Fellaini is just fecking embarrassing.

Yea not into this game at all now. Embarrassing

Pathetic. Running out of patience with this negative bullshit.

Ashley Young captain? :nervous::rolleyes:

We just don't give a shit about the league do we?

WTF is that team, not a chance we are winning today.

Wow, that team is so uninspiring.

I think i just vomited a little at that team

That lineup

Our club has truly gone down the shitter.

Disgusting team lineup. Young as captain? Jesus ducking Christ. Such an uninspiring team.

Zlatan being rested = Jose has made his mind to go all out for Europe League.

That line up
0-3 Chelsea .

Given up on the league. Ultimate show of pragmatism.

Midtable line up, should be comfortable for Chelsea.

Oh lord, this is going to be fun...

The sort of team that doesnt belong in Europe.

That is a fantastically shit team. Great stuff.

State of that team.

State of this club

Pretty clear where our priorities are. Choo choo.

Hahaha line up is a fecking joke, feck off Jose.

No Martial no Shaw. YOUNG CAPTAIN?? Pathetic line-up.

Never thought I would see the day Manchester United would be parking the bus at Old Trafford.

Not even gonna bother watching. If we aren't even going to make an effort to win, why should I waste my time watching it?

The state of that line up :wenger:

We haven't beaten Chelsea in 12 games. Wow. With the team we've put out, it's unlikely it'll stop at 12.

I guess we're losing today.

No Mikhi?

Is Jose even trying to win this game?

That team is set up to not get beat. Negative bullshit.

Starting Rashford up top who has only scored 4 in 25 games is a joke.

Don't win today and top 4 is done.

Jose seems to have already thrown the towel in and is focusing on the Europa League which seems the sensible thing to be honest.

I'm going 0-4.

I can't blame him, because I couldn't believe this selection to be honest.

 Jesus he's trolling us with that team selection. Playing for a 0-0 at home feck sake

are you all ashamed, crybabies!

I want Jose to do well (provided it is not at Chelsea's expense of course!). No injuries or suspensions for our FA cup game, that's the most important thing really. I want the double!

You want to win the league first.

Rashford and Lingard were excellent playing off each other and elevated things for us in the first half, I thought the negative substituion was pointless as it left Rashford isolated and invited more pressure, but an ugly job well done overall.

1st point: Conte forgot how to scream the whole match.
2nd point: We could have easily avenged 4-0 today.
3rd point: Rashford announced his ARRIVAL today.
That's a masterpiece victory there.

Some of the posters in the pre-match thread should be ashamed.

That was a masterclass

I'm never ashamed. I always expect the worst when we've been looking poor. Makes moments like this feel so much better :) in my head, if I'd been bullish before the match we'd have lost by at least the reverse scoreline.....

can I do it?

are you all ashamed, crybabies!

Ashamed, no. At the time I was disappointed with the lineup and thought we'd be lucky to get a point from the game. After the match and I've said as much already, I hold my hands up and say every one of them put a shift in today and we excellent. Fully deserved the win.

Great performance, they hustled all day won ever second ball and stopped Chelsea from playing. Herrera man of the match in making Hazard look average, which he is not. Mourinho got the tactics and the line up right. Very proud of the team today.

We got it right today, although I wouldn't get too carried away. This is bread and butter Mourinho and we've got the players to sit back, spoil and nick a win. It worked with eleven men at Stamford Bridge and Mourinho was right to try the tactic again.

That said, I don't think it will work in every big game and I don't think it should be a regular fixture in how we approach the big games.

We've got it spot on defensively, for which Mourinho deserves credit. It's attacking that needs work and not a lot has really changed. The same problems will still exist come Burnley next week.

I think I owe our manager an apology. That was our best performance yet under him, it worked to perfection. Ander and Rashford were absolutely immense. Take a bow Jose and everyone who played today.

It was the best performance under Mourinho we have seen so far. It had the shades of the Arsenal match of last season when everyone expected a defeat looking at the team news and we had the same scorers as that match too.

Rashford should be playing in all the big matches up top where spaces open up in behind. Zlatan hinders us so much against the bigger teams and should not be starting in those matches.

Herrera had a MOTM display superbly nullifying Hazard and contributing to goals too. Special mention to Rojo and Bailly who are by miles United's best CB pairing. Pogba had a mature display too which was great to see.

Nah. As you say, it's too late and the remaining fixtures are night and day between us and Spurs.
Think it is too late for the league, but an F.A. Cup win might just set this young Spurs side on the road to more trophies. The longer they don't win something that side might just fizzle out.

Mourinho is perhaps pushing a bit, saying we played the same formation against Chelsea in the FA Cup. Unless you think Jones was doing Herrera's work in that game, which is possible.

Already said it in the match day thread, but Mourinho pulled today the fullback-midfielder Guardiola trick.

What does he want he want from Shaw, Martial,Mhiki? That. It's about working your ass off for the team.

Brilliant tactic today from Jose Mourinho today. Everyone played. Solid back three no errors at all. Wing backs were discipline. As a result no shot on target for Chelsea.

Hazard in Herrera's pocket. Rashford is having fun against Chelsea's defense.

Bring in Carrick to keep possession and more protection was the right decision. Bring in Zlatan when Rashford looked tired and also Zlatan is good to hold the ball.

Motm is Mourinho. Tactic was right and the subs was right.

I'd say that that was the first time we saw a typical Jose team...ie. he didn't give a damn about big names or that we have to "attack" etc.
He conceded possession and his main aim was to draw or win the game, no matter how ugly the game became.

Where other managers would've been pressured into playing our best/first team, Jose thought otherwise.

And lets not forget that when the team was announced many fans predicted that we would fold easily and basically gave up, before the game even started.

Best result of the season, but with nobody above us dropping points this weekend, Spurs can feel more excited about it than us.
