Post-match discussion

To be fair, any little thing changes the complexion of the whole game. Let's say Pogba chooses a longball pass instead of a short pass to a teammate, the whole game is different after that compared to what it would be had he made the short pass.

Have you just watched "The Butterfly Effect" movie?

They had zero shots on target, they would've had zero with Curtois in goal as well, plus, not sure how he'd have stopped the deflection for the second goal.

No but the butterfly effect is still relevant.... literally nothing is the same if one thing changes. doesnt mean the score would be different but it could

Just felt it was worth pointing out how amazingly consistent Chelsea played all season, and that the fact we beat them - was it really a "tactical masterclass" like many here want to believe, or was it a one-off fluke / bad day at the office for Chelsea?

It wasn't a fluke. Just better tactics than we employed for much of the season.

Chelsea were wrecked with the flu that day and the Alonso last minute injury in warmup before the game really threw them off-balance.

Isn't it the manager's job to ensure his tactics are on point every single game, and not just the one?

Any one else think this was a fluke rather than a "tactical masterclass"?
No, not a 'fluke'. Stop looking for reasons to criticise the team when there are plenty out there already, get a grip.

/thread.

Chelsea let United win as they felt sorry for Mourinho.

Courtois missing was the biggest thing that went for us but we battered them so no not a fluke

It's not a fluke when you restrict Chelsea to zero shots on target. That was a tactical masterclass because Mourinho set up the team to completely nullify Chelsea, which we did successfully. We dominated that game and didn't give them a sniff.

Strange bump, and strange accusations.

I think you are reformulating the question so we can answer "yes it was a fluke after all, sack mourinho!" Or something, arent you

Paranoid much? I was merely pointing something out because I felt it was an interesting discussion that should be had. Offered an "alternate" viewpoint for the sake of a balanced arguement.
