Have to say, Rice is twice the player Ugarte is. He's also much fitter, creative and mobile.

If Ugarte worth 50m, Rice is worth that 100m tag.

He is the best MF in a team that could'nt beat the worst Man Utd team in history on two occasions now?

He is a slightly better version of McT. That's about it.

Salah also couldn't beat the worst United team in PL history, glorified Depay?

I wasn't aware that we drew twice with Liverpool this season ? I do recall a 3-0 drubbing.

Rice is no where close to Salah. One is genuinely world class. Other is a product of hype.

The one thing that annoys me at times is if we get a good result the pundits analise the game to death as to why the other team dropped points rather than we picked up points.

All I would like to know is why VAR didn't inform the referee when there was a blatant dive by Lewis Skelly with De Ligt nearby when he awarded a free kick in dangerous area? Give ball back to United and a yellow for the offender. Why is this so hard? Why is VAR so inconsistent?

Rice is a quality player. Not £100m worth but he is easily one of the best DMs in the league.

Its how these things work. Look at any Liverpool game and Liverpool never "lose" they always gift the game. The opposition is never credited with stopping them playing or even outplaying them, its always about how below par Liverpool were. How wasteful they were. Liverpool were absolutely schooled by PSG. Nothing to do with Liverpool being poor. They were just fundamentally outplayed.

Same with United. If we win a game it wasn't due to our efforts, it was the opposition being poor.

God knows. I understand it not getting involved in soft free kicks because thats a can of worms but a verifiable dive should immediately be relayed to the ref to give a card. If they scored from that free kick it would have stood and yet any goal from open play can be taken back a long time to disallow for fouls, offsides etc. Makes no sense.

From a quick glance, it looks like the thread ban was for insulting other posters and aggressive and argumentative posting.

You can always raise it in the admin forum if you feel aggrieved. https://www.redcafe.net/forums/admin-mod-help-forum.14/
A single post describing someone's posts as 'shitty'?! Completely understand some kind of punishment might be due there - and happy to take it on the chin - but a permanent thread ban seems a little harsh.

Thanks for responding and pointing me in the direction of the admin forum - I'll raise it there.

Yes I agree it beggars belief. Also there was one stamp on Garnacho from that cnut Gabriel. Also not reviewed.

I personally think the longer he's been at Arsenal, the more average he's looked. First season I thought he was unbelievable but looking at his stats this season his passing is worse (he's trying way more long balls that don't work) his per 90 is basically down for everything that matters, tackles, tackles won, goals, interceptions, take ons, touches, carries; the more direct Arsenal have become the more normal a player he looks in my opinion.

He's won more headers though, so there's that I guess.

Like two games against Man Utd is the measure of Arsenal, to say nothing of individual players on Arsenal. And Rice is pretty much everything McTominay isn't, in addition to pretty much everything he is.

VAR never gets involved in that sort of incident. It is definitely consistent on that.

Yeah, that's kind of the point......

Thread bans are normally for repeated posts that are overly argumentative, abusive, derailing etc in a thread, rather than a single one. Certainly your last three posts in there were confrontational -I don't have time right now to go back further- so will be a cumulative thing. You can always try and make a case to the mod that warned you too.

That was a good performance, which we would have deserved to win. Some thoughts:

- Our attacking game has been looking a bit improved the last few games, hasn't it?
- That's two consecutive good performances from Casemiro. It's been a while since he played at such a relatively good level. Not like two season ago, but at least good enough to actually contribute something and not be a liability.
- De Ligt also above his customary level lately
- Bruno should get a lot of credit for his performances lately - he's been back to the level we expect from him
- Zirkzee followed a really good game against RS with a quite poor one here. Maybe that's the position. He's not doing much better with the holdups than Højlund.
- Garnacho really good - first time in a good while.
- I thought Lindelof handled the central position well, with really consistently good positioning. And another impressive cameo by Heaven, he seems further ahead than I'd expected.
- On the flip side, Dalot is a continuing disappointment, and Eriksen really did not get much done.

Two games against Man Utd, a terrible Euro campaign and an average campaign as the would be premier league winner. This is the measure of Rice.

Someone posted the stats of Rice vs McT on this forum before he joined Arsenal. They were virtually identical.

If you have media shills singing the praises of a player non-stop, eventually the fans goup- think deems that the player is a world beater.

Arsenal mania forum, United fan started match day thread .
Solskjaer's Spiral Curls

Date: Doesn’t matter.
⚽ Kickoff: Doesn't matter.
Referee: Doesn't matter.
Venue: Theatre of Dreams

Man Red FC

United’s injury list is longer than Arsenal’s premier league drought. Lisandro Martínez, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, Altay Bayındır, Jonny Evans and Chido Obi ruled out. Harry Maguire doubtful.

Arzegum FC

Doesn't matter. Lego Tets will play Merino upfront probably.

FINAL SCORE PREDICTION

United 4-0 Arsenal.
Donkai Haverts red card. Man United counter-attack like prime 2008 Ronaldo is still here with Zirkzee scoring a hat-trick. Bruno Fernandes penalty to seal the fourth against you. Ramsdale dives the wrong way, does he still play for you (or Raya)? Who gives a **** to be honest, end the season.

Forum’s never been more cooked letting a Utd fan start the match thread ffs
They've also made me half-mod. New era of AM is upon you.
Shame you can't make it half-way up the league table
...
Before and after Bruno' FK
If your a United fan seeing Bruno hiding in plain sight again.
Is he playing?!
First time I saw him was complaining about Partey’s elbow just now.
*** off trossard

Watch Bruno score this
The lower league side break and win a free kick. Stupid from Leo.
First time the rat has touched the ball ffs. Arsenal how do you do this?
Rat scores, fs !
Well, you could see it coming.
***ing knew it

trossard you IDIOT
Poor from Raya honestly. Onana esque
Oh look, another game where we dominate and get done by a random, one off goal. I'm tired Robbie.
Yes he’s playing
Haha Bruno celebrating like mad midtable bvm
PSG vs Liverpool replay.
bUT wE bEaT PSV bY 7 GoAls.
Loser Ødegaard, oaf Rice, nothing Merino, brainsludge Trossard. These are who we count on.
Don't worry, this is all part of the plan to keep Amorim on the job, lads.
Arteta has only beat Amorim once in 4 games between the two
...

created nothing in the first half
We are playing a 5-4-1 with merino up front, what are you expecting?
We are playing against the worst United side EVER

Really? Couldn't dominate an absolutely terrible man united defense? Almost 0 influence from midfield.

Good thing Rice played no role whatsoever in Arsenal beating us 2-0 earlier this season then

@Jippy I didn't get a warning as far as I'm aware?

Better result and performance than expected. In the end it was a little disappointing not to get the win considering the chances in the 2nd half.

Couple of decent results in the last few days, progression on Thursday turns that into a good week.

Good game and performance from the squad! We even dominate the match at times. We would have won if not for the freak goal by Rice.

Didn’t watch the game but seen the result at FT and watched the highlights last night. Looked a very entertaining game. We didn’t really create much 1st half but Bruno’s freekick was brilliant although Raya’s standing position leaves a lot to be desired about, his standing position gave him so much of the target to aim at. 2nd half and both teams were going for it to win the game. They scored a well worked equaliser through Rice. Who on Earth was supposed to be marking him?! Mazraoui had some great chances to win it for us and that chance right at the death for us was incredible on how it never went in.

Also, when we pretty much shut down Fulham, who came into the match as one of the most in form sides in the Prem, it's always because Fulham were shit, and not because We shut them down, or Amorim set us up well etc, and the same with Sociedad. We seem to always have trouble with Spanish sides, yet, when we pretty much shut them down as well. It's because Sociedad is shit, and not because we made them look like shit. Maybe L'Arse really didn't have a decent chance outside of their goal because of Amorim's work with our side and how we shut them down.

I personally feel these last three matches are showing something more and are boding well for Amorim and United. Obviously, we continue missing golden opportunities and have a massive striker problem, but recently we've been set up quite well and the oppo are not getting on to us as before. This is how turn arounds begin, with baby steps. Hopefully.

Just had Sky Sports News on and they are still showing this mornings debate about where the freekick should have been taken from. If it was from the wrong place that is Anthony Taylor's fault, but it always feels like they use it to have a dig at us, that we always benefit from luck, when this season we have been on the other end of it to be honest.
