We need one more world class front 3 player.

Mourinho has got us set up to play a solid system, with the front 3 largely left to try and win the game with their own trickery. But that puts a lot of demands on them creatively and physically.

Martial+Rashford+Mata doesn't give us enough composure. Zlatan gives us composure but his lack of pace hurts us in other ways. Rooney provides excellent movement, but he gives the ball away to much. Lingard is the perfect system player (in that he's where he needs to be, when you want him to be there) but he doesn't have the creativity to do anything that's less than obvious.

Mata should always start because of everything he gives us. One out of Zlatan, Rashford, Rooney, Martial or Lingard should also be in there. But we need one more player who can tie it all together.

You lot need to get a grip of yourselves. We were abject. An Arsenal side with any fight, would've turned us over. In the way that, you know, Chelsea did. Did you enjoy that game? Did you enjoy us ambling around, losing the 50/50's, the misplaced passes, the lack of incision. The lack of fight. The inability to keep the ball in tight areas.

I want to enjoy watching Manchester United, not agonise of every flaw in our play. Can none of you remember how we used to play? Do none of you watch other teams in the top six and realise that our performances are so far below that of them?

Nothing we do is by design. We show flashes of cohesion and as quickly as it appears, it diminishes. We're inconsistent.

I take no issue with Mourinho. It's the players. They are so flakey, it's laughable.

Will you go away. It was a very good performance against a very good arsenal side.

I think our best bet is the Europa. Keep ticking away at the PL no doubt, but I would concentrate seriously on the Europa. We are getting better and better all the time (bar the chelsea game).

We have a good chance of winning the Europa, depending on the teams that come from the CL.
The players do not seem that interested in the EL, though. You'd think we'd have a chance, but I just don't see it happening.

Stoke, Burnley and Arsenal. That's six points right there we should have, and would have put us second. Hopefully we have better luck in the second half of this season.

Feel sick but I would have taken a draw before hand. That says something though...
Agreed. Disappounted obviously, but plenty of positives.

Got a banging headache how did we not beat Arsenal and how did they get a point? fml..concentration gone at the end again big big fml. I feel dejected. title race over aaargghh

We played well. My only complaint about what we did today is the obligatory throwing on of Scneiderlin to see out a game. He's bloody useless at it. He's awful on the ball and on the goal he's jogging into the box marking nobody when they have a spare man at the back post. If he's not going to help with that kind of situation then what the hell is he doing?
Yep, Van Gaal did the same against Chelsea away last year. Schneid came on for Herrera that time, we allowed them 90% possession, we conceded.

Not even the most hardcore arsenal-fan can honestly say that they deserved anything from that game...

Conceding headers again. Not finishing chances again. Played pretty well and didn't get anything again. Pattern of failure.

Before the game I would of took a draw.

Another crap ref.

I missed most of the first half, frustratingly.

The second we were absolutely awful. Think Mourinho lost it for you, though the assist + header were quality from Ox and Olly. You're not a shit team, but for yet another season I don't see how you'll score enough goals to win enough games to finish near the top of the league. We'll be 2nd-4th depending on the form of others.

I think our best bet is the Europa.

You honestly believe we are good enough to beat all teams in the EL?
Do you understand that that is one of the most difficult trophies to win?
To win the EL you need to be a great side, in good form AND you need luck on your side.
We certainly have no luck.

Stoke, Burnley and Arsenal. That's six points right there we should have, and would have put us second. Hopefully we have better luck in the second half of this season.

Definitely. lucks levels itself out and we haven't had any so far. add to that refereeing decisions. it's been fustrating from poor finishing, the opposition scoring belters against us, zlatan leaving his shooting boots in Paris and injuries at the wrong time. we need more to go for us after Xmas.

First half we dominated you as well. Arsenal looked a good level below us today.

Need to get our shit together and we can reel them in.

You just said you can't support us so I tell you not to and I'm the childish one? Are you having a laugh mate. Of course I'd rather us be winning and playing fast attacking football but I'm not going to throw my dummy out and pull out the 'I can't support us playing like this' card. I'll support my team however bad we are and any of true fan would.

You can see we're starting to look like a quality team. People saying arsenal were shite, no actually, we were really well organised and looked the best we've looked in a very long time. Another bad result, that's 3 draws at home where we should have comfortably won.

The performances are getting better and the results will follow.

Did you enjoy the game? By the sounds of, 70,000 United supporters were bored witless.

Did you watch the game? OT was rocking and United bossed it.

I'm gutted they got an undeserved point but I can't fault anyone to be honest. We just seem to lack a killer punch but De Gea didn't have a save to make. We should have won by 2/3 goals.

It's depressing that after all the money spent, we used Rooney as a sub striker, while Arsenal could have Giroud, a much better striker.

Putting Rooney as the sole striker, allowed Arsenal to sub 3 defensive players to 3 attackers without much consequense at the back. Because almost ZERO threat from Rooney upfront. No speed, no killer instinct, won't win any physical battle, etc.

Im going to say this and i will get the flames for it, but: Having both Rashford and Martial on the field trying to kill off a game isnt exacty the way to go. Most of the times they get the ball it turns into: YEAH!!! on redcafe, but in reality we have lost the ball 1-2 seconds later. That go to both of them.

Yeah both of them had good debut seasons, but when the next season comes then you will see who will keep it going.

People here actually belive here that missing Zlatan was good. If we had Zlatan this game would been killed.

Redcaf needs a reality check when it comes to our youngsters.

Our problem is that Rashford and Martial are still very young and very raw and won't be able to win us games all the time. It is obvious both of them are having a serious case of second season blues but both of them are so young, it is a fecking shambles a club like United needst to look at these youngsters to win us games.

On the other hand we have ex-star players like Rooney and Zlatan who just aren't as good anymore as they used to be and also can't win us games anymore all the time.

We all knew this in the summer but somehow in our heads it made perfect that the combination of those players would be able to form a winning team but the reality is that it doesn't work like that and that a team that is serious about winning the title needs a top player in his prime that can win u games all the time. City have that with De Bruyne, Chelsea got it with Hazard, United in truth hasn't had that since 2013 with RVP in his best form ever (years before that we had Rooney at his peak and before that CR7). It is so hard to win games, especially in the PL as a team when you don't have an absolute star player that scores goals left and right against any opponent. It is also the reason why Liverpool or Arsenal won't win it this year because Countinho and Sanchez aren't absolute stars either, the season Liverpool came closest ever to winning it again was with Suarez upfront and that is the type of player you need to win games.

This team massively needs someone like Griezmann

We played the best I've seen us play for a while - got sucker punched, easy analysis really...

When I say I can't support them, I say it in the sense that I can't muster the enthusiasm to get behind a group of players that are so lacking in fight and energy.

I really dont understand the mentality of sitting back and defending a 1 goal lead. You are asking for trouble. Why change what was working and go for another goal or 2 then sit back. Why does this team do it every fecking time and expect different outcomes.

Arsenal were there for the taking, a midfield of Coquelin and Elnainny, Jenkinson, Monreal...the only time Herrera or Pogba got in the box, we scored a goal from it. Then he made stupid substitutions as usual just as Martial was beginning to warm up and get into the game...this game should have been an easy 2 or 3 nil game.

We wiped the floor with them. Can't believe how unlucky we've been. Sad for Mourinho, deserves much more.
Don't really get how you were unlucky. You created little, and then chose to sit back on a 1-0 after dominating possession for the previous 30 minutes.

More like in attack, we should have been two up. The attack let us down against Burnley and Stoke too. So many chances but the finishing is appalling

I think in attack too. Martial isn't looking good on the wing after his initial start. He should be rotated in as striker imo. Same with rashford up front, who definitely shouldn't be relied on, as @DomesticTadpole said. He needs time.

Hopefully Jose is going to address these issues in the next couple of transfer windows.

Rocking? Are you kidding me? The atmosphere inside Old Trafford is nothing like it once was - the fans know it, Mourinho knows it.
