Paul Pogba is not as fit as claimed. We can see he usually tires towards the end of teh game and should have been substituted. Taking out Rashford and Pogba and bring on Schneiderlin and Young instead would have won United the game.

Don't get the negativity. Thought we played well today. The cohesion was there and our defenders played surprisingly well. This is definitely a performance that can be built on.

Yes no reason to be negative about a result that literally is the difference between getting back in touch with the pack at the top or falling further behind.

I get the negativity in terms of the result, but I agree, this was a very good performance from us. You can tell that certain players are improving a lot in terms of adapting to what Mourinho typically asks his team to do. Very positive signs.

If that is a performance to be built on, then count me out. I'm not supporting a Manchester United side that plays like that - it is pitiful to watch.

We've played far better in other games this season.

The players messed up but the manager has to know that being in control of a match is much better than falling back for 6 minutes and hoping that we don't get scored

We put Schneiderlin on and he did nothing as per usual.

Goddamn! So unlucky that we conceded like that so close to the end. We were by far the better team, controlled the game, created chances and everything. So unlucky, dammit!

We're getting there lads, we looked superb today, Carrick, Herrera and Pogba in MF 3 is beauty to watch! Shame that we conceded from that single weakness we had and that being our CB duo not being tall enough.

If we can keep playing like this, better days are definitely coming! So undeserving draw.

Ref was despicable, no penalty, Ramsay had 5 hard tackles and wasn't sent off, mustafi pulling Pogba and no foul, no card, Jennkinson tackling Rashford and no card.

All in all we were great up until that goal, but if we keep it up like this will be great!

feck that. We were excellent for 87 minutes. That goal was so undeserved, but it happens in football.

Might be the most Mourinho type performance we've had so far (Liverpool aside). I'm far more optimistic about the team after that performance.

We might miss out on top four, but Mourinho is going to get this right -- the signs are there. Give him whatever he wants.
I do feel we can say we haven't got what we deserved after quite a few games this season. Today, Stoke, Burnley of the top of my head and that's 6 points.

I give up with this lot. I really do.

We were woeful. Arsenal equally so.

We're so mild-mannered and lacking in fight, it's pitiful. Mourinho must be ruing this group of players. Anyone who looks at our performance and says 'we played well' is lying to themselves. We were abject. Slow. Ponderous. Our only clearcut opportunity came from our only attacking outlet - Valencia. Other than that, nothing. No craft, guile, creativity.
Yeah, most of this post is wrong. We were woeful, really?

Pretty much sums up our season so far that game. We need to get a run going to get anything happening with this season but I just can't see where it's coming from.

And he screwed up the most important job of all when we were winning. Sorry but the dropped points are solely on his shoulders for me.
Yes, but he didn't have one job.
Plus when you're running for 90 minutes it's hard to keep up with the fresh player who is as fast (or maybe even faster) as you, especially when you're not a defender, you know.

We were woeful. Arsenal equally so.
We weren't woeful. We played very well. Did I watch a different game to everyone else? We dominated the play, scored the goal that should have won us the match, and got unlucky to concede from the only attempt they had on target in 90mins.

Some people on here just love singling out one player and blaming them. Our whole team sat off them and let them start playing football. It was the teams fault not just Rashfords.
agreed, we are turning one of our brightest young strikers into a makeshift LB. he dropped so deep today I thought Borthwick Jackson was back.

You dont want to build on a game where we completely controlled a big game against one of the best sides in the league where they created one chance all game? It was a very good performance all around, stop talking out of your ass

Jose's fault. We were so solid because we didn't give them anything and didn't have to defend and fall apart like we usually do. Cue going more defensive after the first goal and look what happens.

It's pathetic that we can't deal with one attack though. We really are a shambles defensively.

We looked like a team prior to that, with no major standouts (in a good way), apart from Mata. Great finish from him too. Really difficult to control that ball.
Think it will make sure we sign another CB. That defence should have been able to see out a game. Rashford did himself no favours and might need taking out of the firing line. I said before that I felt people are expecting too much, too soon from him.

It's both. Racking up 1-0s have lead to championships before.
Racking 1-0s when you are not playing well is supposed to be a sign of championship winning side. Our problem is that we can't seem to score or score enough when we are dominating the game.

Very frustrating. We were clearly the better team but we couldn't make it count. To concede so late is very disappointing.
On the plus side Rooney looked sharp and to boss a team like Arsenal is encouraging.

Such s shame cause we had s really good game. Should have scored at least one more. Arsenal was wank and there for the taking.

Im going to say this and i will get the flames for it, but: Having both Rashford and Martial on the field trying to kill off a game isnt exacty the way to go. Most of the times they get the ball it turns into: YEAH!!! on redcafe, but in reality we have lost the ball 1-2 seconds later. That go to both of them.

Yeah both of them had good debut seasons, but when the next season comes then you will see who will keep it going.

People here actually belive here that missing Zlatan was good. If we had Zlatan this game would been killed.

Redcaf needs a reality check when it comes to our youngsters.

It breaks my heart to see Rashford getting shit from "fans" for failing to stop a cross as a left back in the 90th minute of this game.

If there was one thing I expected of Mourinho it is that he would win us these kind of games. We are 1-0 ahead, we have been able to keep Arsenal out of the game for almost 90 minutes but somehow they find an equalizer.

This is so deflating.

Also Jones wtf was he doing there on that goal ?

Unbelievable that Mickey and Memphis got no chance to prove even though Martial, Rashford and Rooney have been poor this season...

It will be very hard to get the 4th now if all of your attacking players will be in poor format for much longer!!!

It's not luck. We aren't good enough, specially in defence

More like in attack, we should have been two up. The attack let us down against Burnley and Stoke too. So many chances but the finishing is appalling

Arsenal are extremely lucky today against a second rate United side without either of their first choice CBs or left back. Arsenal played with 12 on the pitch today with Marriner cosplaying as Cech's helmet.

How many league games is that we dropped points that we deserved to win?

Stoke, Burnley, Arsenal?

Ridiculous post, Rooney closed down as a lone man up front just aswell if not better than Rashford, our way of playing made the task extremely hard as the lone man ufront was usually isolated when pressing, Rooney can only do so much on his own closing upfield, its up to the midfield and wingers aswell to help out or else the lone man upfront pressing is just wasteful enegery. Rooney was fantastic when he came on.

I disagree with the first part. I don't think Rooney did anywhere near enough to make it difficult for their defenders when they were jogging the ball out. As for the rest, I think my second post in this thread explains it better. I'm not pinning it on Rooney solely. It was the combination of having him up top and then replacing Mata with Schneiderlin. It gave them so much more time on the ball and just invited pressure on ourselves.

We dominated Arsenal. Even AFC supporters would not argue this point.
You want to go support MCFC? They need more supporters and they'll probably win the title this season. ;)

Yes no reason to be negative about a result that literally is the difference between getting back in touch with the pack at the top or falling further behind.

Top 4 won't matter if we don't play well more consistently, which we did today.

We have been saying this for some time now. After Burnley and stoke. I don't think we seem to be building on anything.

We should have won today and won well. One mistake we make and they score. Same as stoke. Pure bad luck.

We are playing miles better than under Moyes or Van Gaal.

Apart from Blind, which was necessary, Jose's substitutions cost us today. Rooney doesn't have the puff to close defenders down, even when he's only making a 15 minute cameo, and then that error was compounded by taking off Mata. Sure, that might be fine if Arsenal were trying to play intricate little passes outside our 18 yard box, but for the entire game they looked like they wanted to play it out wide. We sacrificed all our pressing from up top and out wide and it cost us.

Feels like a defeat.

Still, the performance for the most part was great. I've been pleasantly surprised with Jones since he came back into the team, and Valencia is superhuman.
People are saying Mata was limping and looked to the bench, so might have been a forced sub.
