@Ady87 did you ever get into the Generations set? Seeing if you had any I needed or I had any you do before I go off buying singles!
 
Just spent £180+ on Chaos Cards...

x1 Evolutions Booster Box
x1 Charizard Evolutions Elite Trainer Box
x1 Blastoise Evolutions Elite Trainer Box
x1 Evolutions Binder
x2 Generations Genesect Collection Box

Will be opening the Evolutions boosters from the Charizard and Blastoise boxes, my first time collecting a set properly since the original Wizards of the Coast runs. Got a five-year anniversary with the missus next month though, so I will probably hold off on opening the full box of 36 packs until next payday when I can buy another one.

Although, I could just buy the missus some Pokémon cards... Then open them.

Will be here Tuesday/Wednesday next week so I will post some pics.

I'm gonna drop the cash for 2 booster boxes of evolutions I think come payday. I'm also weighing up whether to drop a horrible amount of money on 2 cards to finish a set but I'm a bit twitchy on that!

Wanna help each other with trades in that set if we have some decent duplicates?

Yeah, was just gonna say when I saw you were buying two boxes that I'd be happy to do some trades! Might not have much of the set until late next month though!

Really want the full arts of the starters and Dragonite :drool:

Yeah I reckon I might get the two secret rare cards I need and 1 booster box and save the 2nd for December but we will see.

The full arts and stuff in this new set look epic, I also really want the original starter holos, good nostalgia.

This secret rare from the set is what I want the most though...

@Havak I opened 10 generations boosters at the weekend and got all this which included the Imakuni booster, I love it :lol:

Forgot about that surfing pikachu! So much good in this set. That Mega Slowbro EX looks ridiculous too.

Nice pulls! The Articuno and Zapdos full arts are so nice, but I wish they had Moltres in the set as well! I love the Generations set, but I can't bring myself to open everything I have :lol: I know I'm too much of a completionist :(

I hope to get all of Evolutions eventually, the only thing I'm willing to wave is getting a reverse holo of every card possible :lol:
 
@Havak yeah I can never bring myself to get all the reverse holos, even though they are pretty cheap to buy as singles.

Also that Meowstic EX is a duplicate so if you do try finish the set and need it then let me know. I have no idea how you're able to leave boxes unopened :lol:

I just like to display sealed things and I plan to sell single boosters of Generations years down the line when they're hard to come by!

I've got an original Base Set Booster box, along with two Ancient Origins, a Fates Collide, and Break Point box. Still have a Generations Elite Trainer Box sealed, and all of the other Generations products sealed so far.

Even sets like Legendary Treasures that aren't even that old can go for about £250 after a couple of years let alone in 10 or so. Kinda wish I'd done it with some but I couldn't live not knowing what's inside. I reckon generations will be pretty sought after especially considering they didn't do proper booster boxes right?

Breakpoint is a pretty good one too, some great full arts.

Yeah, I can see Generations and Evolutions being very popular in a couple of years.

No Booster Box for Generations which is pretty annoying, but I can see some of the lesser purchased boxes (like Darkrai, Arceus) being available for lower than RRP at some point in the near future when places try to sell their excess stock. My plan is to keep purchasing more of the Generations boxes every so often and have a couple of big boxes full stored away for a few years.

I may also buy a few more Evolutions boxes to keep sealed as time goes on. Legendary Collection was the last time they did a reprint set of the original cards and that booster box goes for over £1000 easily now. I think Evolutions will be similar given five years or so.

I sold my Legendary Collection box last month for £2.5k. The buyer decided he wants to sell it already and already had offers that prevent him losing any money on it.

Yeah, definitely the highest potential IMO among any sets released in the last 5 years say. I have bought a good amount of Japanese 1st Ed boxes, wasn't going to touch the English ones but could have a dabble.

Legendary Collection is the most interesting set of all time IMO being that at the time of release, everyone was all Pokemon'd out and there was such a small demand for it, even though it contains many classic cards and a unique reverse holo style of all those cards additionally. Fast forward 15~ years and that makes it so incredibly rare due to the small demand at the time and the classic cards that everyone now loves again.
 
I'm really toying with the idea of buying a few booster boxes to keep hold off, I'm getting a deposit back next month from my flat when I move. Could be super tempting to pick 5 or 6 boxes up.

Might be worth doing with Evolutions. I think you can get a case of six booster boxes for just over £500 on Chaos Cards. Can open a couple of them and then hide the rest forever to try and not give in to the temptation :lol:

I sold my sets for a break even and haven't picked up anything since! Things with my bonus in work are ambiguous at best right now so as soon as the numbers are confirmed I'm getting two boxes! The cards you've posted look sweeet
 
Seen some early unboxings of Evolutions.

It looks like they've decided to replace an Uncommon card (or cards) with the Secret Rare if you're to pull one. So, you could for example pull one of the Imakuni or Pikachu SR's plus your usual Rare/Holo/EX and still have the chance to pull a Rare card in the Reverse Holo slot.

Saw one guy at a Pre-Release tournament pull x2 Surfing Pikachu and x2 Here Comes Team Rocket out of his four boosters... (Along with Ninetales BREAK and Blastoise EX).

That'll be awesome, already love how in the sets with a Radient Collection you can pull double ultra rares. I'd probably die if I pulled all that from 4 boosters mind :lol:

I'm too excited for this now, gonna put my order in Friday. Excited to have an Abra again my favourite card.

Yeah, so excited for this set!

You can literally pull an EX / Full Art, a BREAK, and a Secret Rare in a pack and from what I've seen the odds of that aren't as unlikely as they'd usually seem (well for basically every other set it's impossible haha)!
 


Final fire type looks pretty good with the whole pro wrestling vibe and also nice to face red and blue again and that pikachu will be op as feck
 
That looks awesome. Very much looking forward to playing it, even if I have to wait until Xmas as my son wants to get Moon from Santa, so I can't get Sun and start playing it before then. He would not be happy. Definitely thinking Torocat as my starter, although the idea of a Grass and Ghost final evolution sounds pretty good too.
 
I'm feeling the fire and grass starters actually. Not so much the water. Called the Fire/Dark type at the start.

Really keen for this now.

Few new Legendary Treasures singles arrived today that I needed. Well almost needed. Didn't update my list properly and I already have the Black Kyurem :lol:

Yeah I love it, this set has a Radiant Collection subset which I just completed and it's more "cute" than the regular set. These are the 5 full arts of the set, I love them.

Full Arts are so awesome :drool:

I'm tempted to head to my first pre-release in years on Saturday... It starts at 12 though, so I'd likely have to leave by 2pm to catch the match.
