Gaming Pokémon Strumfest

I recently started again on Alpha Sapphire, switching my starter pokemon for a 6IV Horsea. Going to try and complete that dex.

Elvis level bastradry, tbh.

If we worked together, and attempted it sensibly, sure.

In reality though, it would be like trying to herd a school of ADHD fish.

It'd be like 4 Magikarp trying to knock each other out with Splash. Which with the new battle royale mode could happen.

I'm gonna pick up the version of Ruby when I get paid, I'll help out too if you wanna. The more I have ready for the new game the better.

Some of the newer Pokemon are amongst my faves, tbh, Hawlucha is a don.

I think it is a stubbornness on my part, but I feel like in the first 2 generations, even plenty of the 3rd, there's more than enough for me to be happy indefinitely!

Although...

It's a little fecker too, two weaknesses and loads of resistance and immunity. Little prick.

Aye, I guess it'd get boring after so long though, constantly collecting and training the same bunch. Number-wise, it's getting ridiculous, after the new ones we'll be nearing 900 maybe.

Although...

No excuses for that thing.

Also, 'legendary' loses all meaning when there are 50 of the cnuts. Kind of devalues the older ones like Mewtwo imo. When legendary meant legendary! /oldfogey

I remember actually celebrating when I caught Mewtwo in Pokemon Red. Loads of the new ones essential to the story have reduced capture rates and it just isn't the same.

Definitely agree here, way too many of the fecking things.

Was it Black/White or Black2/White2 where you can't continue the story unless you catch one, and then have to put it instantly in your team?

I think it was X & Y. You had to catch it before you could go anywhere.

So I've got a full Booster Box of Break Point packs coming in the next couple of days.

Picked this set over the others because it's got some pretty bad ass looking Gyrados full arts as well as EX and Mega Ex versions. Can't wait!

Playing about with me new scanner.

That Shining Gyrados is one of my favourite ever cards. I rememer pulling one originally and trading it back in to the shop for something like 7 boosters. There was a shop that only sold pokemon cards when they fiest took off and every day after school it had 60 kids in. The owner was quite generous in buying back ultra rare cards. That's what prompted me to get the Break Point packs. I'd put the cards up now from online collections for you to see but I'd rather wait a couple of days and upload the ones I will hopefully get myself.

Pokemon is such a good escape. I'm going to play some more Sapphire tonight.

Shiiiit I've been rumbled!

Edit: Don't know whether to be "that guy" and get the packs weighed or just rip them open and probably not make any profit but have fun doing it.
How about recording yourself opening them and put the video on Youtube? Apparently there's a market for that kind of thing, though I guess at a much lower profit line than reselling weighed packs(which I couldn't do, personally).

It's not as easy at it seems. There's lots of people on Youtube who open packs and boxes and are lucky to get 100 views per video. No money in it at all really unless you can build up a big following somehow.

Rip them open and have fun.

The money you make from those packs will be gone soon, but the memories of opening them will last a lifetime. Or a day or two at least.

Finally

Greninja Break and Trevenant Break

I picked the set because it had good EX cards but when you see what's available, to pull Mega Gyrados, 2 Full Arts including a Mega and also Darkrai Ex (which I got two of) I can't complain.

Not added up the value yet. Might see how far I am off a full set and see if it's worth me doing before selling and doing another box.

Worked out it would cost me about £60 to complete the set. Trying to figure out if it's worth the investment or just sell what ive got and get another box for lolz.

Thinking a box of Fates Collide be getting ordered next couple of days!
