At least they combined it with the double XP + stardust event, so we're getting rewarded for all of these failed ditto attempts. I still haven't got one either :(

They do really need to do something about the pokeball draught though. I hope this isn't their way of earning more money through people buying pokeballs from the shop.
 
I got a ditto on Saturday, luckily.

Looks like they finally rolled out the new tracker system, which is great... Now I get to see where exactly a random dispersion of 4 ratattas, 3 pidgeys and 3 weedles are within a 600 Meyer radius.

Caught only my second porygon just by happening upon it with the new system not showing any nearby, but instead having 5 ratatta sightings and a spearow.

Why have they reversed the non-duplication of the Pokemon?

Know what you mean. They need a drill function... so it displays only one of each type on the nearby, but if you want to see more, you can click and it will show a separate screen with all of the types. Equally I've noticed that it will only show pokemon that are nearby a pokestop. So if you're away from a stop, there will be Pokemon close that simply won't show at all on the nearby until you encounter them.
 
Yesterday my avatar was literally stood between a Mr Mime and a Meowth and I looked at the tracker and neither of them were showing as nearby, just Pidgeys, Rattatas etc. It seems maybe useful if you're around a lot of Pokestops but like when I'm at home there is only one Pokestop and it's half a mile away the old way of telling you what's around you would be more useful. I'm sure they'll adjust it.

After that last event I'm nearly at level 30 now with just Aerodactyl and Hitmonchan to go. I assume they'll be another event at Christmas where hopefully I can wrap things up.

I've had that a few times last couple of days. Close the app and most of the time it works again.
 
As if people are still playing this. Is there anything new? It got samey after 2 weeks.

I know. I just equate it to a sticker album and I'm a completist. I kind of hate myself because of it, but am compelled to track down the last dozen or so. I'm sure if I manage it there will be an update with a load more added, just to keep me playing.

I read they're about as rare as the starter pokemon, which ties in with my experiences. I didn't find any at first and then got 3 in quick succession. Had 3 or 4 squirtles in the same time span.
 
Just got my first Ditto, it was a Zubat 34 CP that escaped 4 times. Guessed it after the third.

Talking of starters, I've caught a grand total of 2 charmanders since day one. The only time I've seen a nest of them around Manchester was on Altrincham golf course, and I doubt they would welcome people wandering across the greens and fairways playing Pokemon. There's also the possibility of being hit in the head by a titlist to worry about.
 
Got a Ditto at last today. And it was a magikarp I was trying to get. Weird thing. The tracker nearby thing seems all bollocks. hmm

Just saw a Lickitung on my tracker for the first time. I usually don't go out of my way when using this game, only ever open it when I'm walking somewhere or sitting on my sofa but it's a nice day so I thought I'd walk to the stop he is close to.

1 Razz Berry, 1 Ultraball (It was only 330CP) and he flew away first try. Prick.
 
A few Generation 2 Pokemon have been added like Togepi. Only hatchable from eggs (caught from now not before) though not out in the wild.
 
With the new Xmas special, i finally caught my first Pikachu (in a little santa hat aha). Then after that I caught 8 more as they are appearing everywhere until 28th December. Happy for that.

Played a bit today- arrived in Jamaica yesterday so interesting to see what you get abroad.
Patchy internet aside, managed to catch my second ever Kabuto and Omanyte and second and third Digletts. Plus a rare Voltorb. May yet evolve those feckers which I never normally see where I live.
 
End of the day meeting at 5:30 at work and a colleague who also plays messages me to say a Hitmonchan was near work (one of the two I'm missing). Pretending I needed to make a call and ran outside to get it. Took 6 berries and ultraballs but I caught it. Just Aerodactly from Gen 1 (not region specific) to go.
 
If any mancs and/or match-goers are playing this still, Longford park in Stretford is currently a charmander nest. I caught 22 in there this afternoon. I'd caught 2 or 3 previously in the period since the game came out.
 
Anyone caught a Ditto recently? Are they still in the game or was it a short event?

I caught 2 last week. I send most to the grinder now though. They seem pretty useless.

Yeah it's just the candies I want. I send everything that isn't unique in my collection and isn't a "wonder" to the grinder.
 
Enjoyed the current event so far. Can't remember if it has ended now. Charmander has still been the pain for me though, managed to get up to 75 Candies, but don't have Charizard yet. Had Venusaur and Blastoise for ages.

Currently missing: Charizard, Clefable, Ninetales, Arcanine, Machamp, Muk, Omastar and Dragonite out of what is available from Gen 1. Pretty close to getting them in terms of Candy, bar Muk and Dragonite. Dragonite is particularly surprising as I see so many in Gyms, but I could probably count on both hands the times I have seen Dratini.

I got Dragonite a couple of days ago. I was down to 1 ultra ball and 3 standard balls. First Ultraball i fecked up. Next standard ball got him. 2090CP. The other guys hunting him there all had low CP, used Razzberries and Ultraballs and still missed out on him.
 
I've got an absolute feck tonne of evolving to do soon. I've got 200-300 candies for loads of different Pokemon and 150,000 dust.

I'm going to wait until Wednesday though and coincide my lucky egg with the 7day bonus for both catch and poke stops.

I'm only level 23.8 at the minute, hoping to get to level 26 with it.

I've never seen one in the wild. Finally evolved one the other day, after catching maybe one dratini every other week and doing a lot of buddy walking.

The only available in the UK Pokemon I have never seen anywhere is a tangela. Other than that, the only one I have left to evolve is doduo. I've only ever seen one, in London, 6 months ago.

Anyone hatched any gen 2 yet? I managed to get three cleffas and nothing else.
 
I got a Togepi, Pichu and Magmy (evolved in to a Magmar which I did) from 10k eggs. Also the Pikachu with the hat, caught so many I evolved one in to Raichu with a hat. Also managed to get a Charizard and Venasaur. Finally evolved my Vullix in to a Ninetales. Been a productive few weeks considering previous month I wasn't getting anywhere.

I'm waiting until last to put Dratini as my Buddy, just because I am far closer to getting Ninetales, Clefable, Arcanine, and Machamp. Still think we'll see the full Gen 2 update before I finish what is possible from Gen 1.

Doduo is one that I've only hatched from a 5km Egg once and never seen it or Dodrio in the wild in the UK. However, I found two Dodrio in the wild while I was in San Francisco last year, and a few Tangela as well. I've also hatched one or two Tangela while in the UK.

I have hatched probably 20 Eggs since the Gen 2 Baby update, almost all of them being 5km and didn't get anything good from them. I did get Magby from my last 10km Egg though, also evolving into Magmar as that was the only 10km Egg Pokémon I needed from Gen 1 (so got lucky for once and killed two birds with one stone).

I have about five 5km Eggs on the go right now (about 1km left to hatch) and am very close to hatching my next 10km so will be hoping for things I don't have from Gen 2 (or Dratini to get the Candy higher).
 
Just done a mass evolve which included my first Venusaur and Dragonite. Just maxed out the Dragonite (well one power up short as I'm missing 5 candy for the last one) to a whopping 3110CP :drool:
 
I just hatched a Smoochum. So depressing to see my pokedex go from almost full to 238 with almost a hundred empty boxes.

Since the Pikachu thing ended, London has been awash with Charmanders and Bulbas- had only hatched one and caught another Charmander before then, but have since evolved two Charizards and two Venusaurs- all had utter lame arse attacks though. I used buddy to get my Growlithes up, but then caught a shitload in Athens, which helped. Not much joy on Dratinitis either- got loads of km to walk!

Got Elekid and Togepi, but felt a bit lame- Elekid was a 10km egg and I have another at 7.5km, so I assume I'll get a new one soon.

My Elekid is positioned after 238, so there may be 239!
 
Yeah the Xmas / NY event was good. Managed to catch stuff ive never seen before, including lots of baby ones (from hatching). Hope they have about 10 events per year, would be great.

Had some coins to buy Incubators with.

Unfortunately, all my 5km Eggs were garbage again. Everything was something I already had the evolution for and plenth of spare candy. I did get Elekid out of the 10km Egg, though!

I feel like 5k are always trash once you've been playing long enough. I only incubate them to get rid of them and increase my chances of getting more 10k's.
 
Is Grimer like one of the hardest Pokemon to catch and/or hatch?.

Feels like they are impossible to find in London anyway.
