I think that Madrid thought that they were able to free up funds from Bale/James etc but they’ve not been able to do so so far - also dont think all well in the RM camp and not everyone so keen as ZZ on Pogba
Based on our ability to negotiate and facilitate a transfer I don’t believe that there is enough time for anything to happen now with Pogba - it will be an almighty effort for us to complete another transfer beyond the Maguire deal based on how slow we are - our bandwidth will be 100% throttled out on Lukaku/Dybala this week with no certainty that this will come to fruition
It will be interesting to hear the noises from Mino etc over the next few days though - maybe Friday we hear Pogba signs a new improved contract - and all the same shit will start again next spring....

Agree. Judging from events around us, it seems Pogba will stay simply because Real do not have the funds for the transfer right now.
If he does leave, it will be next season, if Zidane is still around and if they can gather enough funds.
Hopefully he won't have a negative impact on the squad this season and can stay professional enough to contribute to a title challenge in the meantime.

I reckon that there is a strong possibility that Mourinho may be lurking in the wings at RM - if RM start badly or just off the Barca pace would be really interesting to see how things pan out - maybe that’s why Perez is holding off all out Pogba attack as if he had Pogba and then Mourinho came in it would certainly be interesting!

I don't think the midfield is all that bad to be honest, better with Pogba in it? of course without a doubt, but with 1 key addition I think it will be very functional. I can see Ole utilizing a top heavy approach that bypasses a lot of possession in the middle anyway and plays fast counter attacking football with out and out speed.

Mourinho actually brought to light that there was a media agenda against Paul when he defended him numerous times, fans have since bought into the agenda which means they are siding with the likes of Souness.
I have said before I don't think Pogba wants to go I just think he wants United to show the ambition he has. I think his agent is using the agenda as a way to line his own pocket by getting in his head about moving on.

Pogba played in a closed doors match against Blackburn today. That and the fact Madrid are in for Van De Beek would mean he is staying. New contract coming i reckon.
It might be wise to temper any excitement about the prospect of Pogba staying (or even signing a new contract) until we see whether or not he's capable of improving his performances.

I think if that one fan was abusing a different player, fans would have reacted to the fan. It was telling that everyone stood and watched. Allowed it to happen. I'd wager most fans around it agreed with the abuse. It's a shame because while everyone deserves criticism for last season, Pogba doesn't deserve abuse and further it doesn't help us at all. He's been better than most of our players since he resigned yet he's held up as the poster boy of our failure.
Sure others get criticism but Pogba gets abused. I'm not surprised he feels unloved because he isn't loved at United. Martial is more loved, I like martial and rate martial.....but how is that possible ?
Pogba had a one to one with Mejbri while he was having his medical, he urged the youngster to work hard and join him in the first team. Doesn't sound like someone who is either sulking or wanting out.
