Pogba Future

Would you accept Dybala and Sandro for Pogba?

It would be really funny if Pogba did go to Madrid, the poor form continued and ZZ was replaced by Mourinho around Christmas. I bet Paul's dying to work with Jose again.
Paul never had any problems with his managers- including Mourinho. He just wants to play with freedom and not be restricted. If Mourinho changed his style, played a more offensive style of football I don't think there would be a problem to work together again in the future. But I don't see it happening because Mourinho is a stubborn man stuck in his old ways.

Isn't over yet?

I really feel this is an unresolved issue and maybe we've buried our heads in the sand.
Yeah, some will say that we won't sell after the window closes or at this late stage, but its all about player power nowadays, and I still think its only 50/50 that Pogba is here at the end of August.

Thats what I meant. I feel that Real waited on purpose and will continue to make offers. And all the talk of midfielders seem to be replacements rather than coming in to play with Pogba. I know Ole thinks he's staying, but if an offer comes in and the player does a Lukaku, he will go.

He's going nowhere.

Reports suggest he was the first to go and greet Harry Maguire at training. He's not pushing for a move and will only go if all parties settle on a deal. We don't want or need to sell.

Case closed.

He'll stay because Real can't afford him after all their spending this season and they don't have any player on the books we'd be willing to swap him for. He'll have a decent season, a good Euros and then leave for Real next season.

There is no chance Pogba is sold this late.

He'll be sold next season if Real pay up.

Here's one for all you Pogba lovers:how com so many players don't seem to take into account playing alongside him when considering joining (or in most cases not joining) us? remember in the past when people wanted to play with United players?

Not so sure about the first part but it'll be like Ronaldo... my bet is he's been told he'll be free to do what he wants next year

Better leave than deal with the shower of shit we have in our midfield. Don't blame him at all if he wants out. Once he goes, his detractors will understand how good he is.

Maybe because they heard is angling for a move away from the club?

Too early for your agenda. Have a nice day.

but we've been assured he's staying... but if you don't want an actual discussion I fully understand - it's because there is only one answer

He's inconsistent and lacking focus. He may not even want to be here. But unfortunately we need to keep him as we seem incapable of replacing him (or signing any midfielders in fact).

I can sympathise with him to an extent as he needs better midfielders around him. I don't think any club has the cash for him anyway.

Welcome back.

The last time Real tried to lowball us the player ended up staying with us and just signed a long term contract. I'm not sure they understand how negotiation works.

Well seemingly Woodward doesn't either so it's a match made in heaven :D But yes, I hope this will backfire on them and Pogba does end up staying for a long time.

Would not blame him for handing in a transfer request today when he has no midfielder around him of decent quality

He wants to play for a club who wins things and that isn't going to be us for a long time

Considering Real Madrid's last bid was 27 mil + a player bayern didn't want for 40 mil, I highly doubt a transfer request would do anything at all unless they're thinking of including Zidane's hair.

Next summer he will try the same trick, just this time Madrid will have the money.

Pogba is a virus and no one particularly wants to play alongside him?

Surely that's gotta be the reason and not the fact that we've averaged finishing 5th in the league post-Fergie and miss out on CL football more often than not while playing unappealing football.

Surely it's a single players fault for not making us attractive to top players and his fault for most decent players form going to shit after joining us

I am quite heartened by three things in relation to Pogba:

- Mata says he's great to have around the place and I trust his word, while Ole unequivocally says he's staying
- He's fallen out with Lukaku, who is a sack of shit
- By some accounts, Maguire met Pogba at Carrington when formalising his signing

And one more thing...Apparently Pogba & Martial have encouraged Hannibal Mejbri to come to United.
"According to Le Parisien, Mejbri spoke to Martial and Pogba during his visit to Carrington and the French duo urged the young midfielder to ‘join them quickly’ in the first team"

Been thinkiing that myself for a while and am really hoping he doesn't leave after our window shuts or we are screwed:nervous:

Can't even describe how big for the Solskjaer project it would be to have Pogba on board.

I think Ole has gone out of his way to protect Pogba which must count for something, while the player might be wondering just how much RM want him considering the meal they have made of the move – James and a pittance for a WC winner and one of the best midfielders in the world. Hopefully it plays out like De Gea did and he signs a new deal

Evra says he doesn't feel loved here. He was adored while with Juve, but not here.
Then he should give us more in games and the fans would love him.

Its not even the games, its the fact that many people feel like Pogba is just using Man Utd as a pitstop before he goes to Spain. Its hard to get that invested in someone you think is probably going to be off at the first real chance.

Pogba is an exceptional player. However, ever since Zidane started talking him up in March he hasn't played that well. Its difficult not to feel like the fantastic form we saw from January until then tailed off because he had one eye on the exit door.

Pogba isn't alone in this either. Once Rooney put in that transfer request, which I know he denies, I went pretty cold on him very quickly. Its just a simple case of effort. Why put a lot into it into someone who doesn't look like they fancy it all that much?

I reckon we have the same agreement we had with Ronaldo, to give one more year and he will be free to leave for Real next summer for the right price.

I'm sorry but :lol:. And you know this how? I'm guessing you were in support of Mourinho too?
I put a question mark because it's a possible answer to my question and although Jose dug a hole for himself, we would have got Maguire for about £45m-£50m if idiot Woodward had listened last year but hey let's blame him for everything

Don't know who the hell you are or read a single post of yours in my life, so no. Get over yourself...
that's my point: if you read the thread you'll see I got in word-for-word what you wrote but about five hours earlier. . but of course, as the emojis show, i was joking. maybe you have the sense of humour of a dipper

No, the response was correct, players know that Pogba will likely be there one more season max before leaving.

Maybe you should take your head out your arse. If your post was the one above mine you might have a point...Only someone that self-absorbed would bother posting. Well done, you won the (insert word) of the day award

Pretty relaxed he's staying for the season. No one is seriously pushing for him anyway but we won't sell given our current midfield options.

He's very probably leaving next summer though so we need to start identifying replacements and deals for his replacement(s) now.

sorry didn't realise you were so sensitive...but of course sense-of-humour bypasses can be tricky

I suppose this makes sense, but the question is how will Pogba react, and perform this season?

yes, because in the past United was a regular 5th/6th place finish club, with a no name manager, and only one good outfield player right?

we really at the point that Pogba is being slated because top players don't want to join a sinking ship?

no.. I'm slating him for no turning up in about 75% of games last season

No, I think if you analyse this again, you will find how self important you think you are to bother posting about it, which in part makes you incredibly annoying, but you are just going be one of those people that make out its the lack of the other person's humour, its 'banter' etc
