Pogba available for €100M to interested parties

Thread got bumped. What happened? Is he going to China?

Too expensive and I think we are doing fine in midfield. Would rather spend the money on forward/winger.

He says he still loves United and will always support us so this automatic City bound nonsense is a bit over the top.

He seems quite egotistical tbh; much more of a superstar since he left us & he seems to love it too. I think januzaj went on loan to become just as big of a house hold name and failed thus far.

I could see him returning to old trafford as mr big shot; just as he would against us by joining city.

But of course i dont know him personally..

Probably will surpass Bale's transfer record. Juve had rejected 80m from Barca. I am sure he will cost 100+, maybe even going near to 120m mark.

He isn't worth the money he will cost. I'd love it if we got Gundogan.

It's only 20 million more than what Martial cost.

This midfield would be fantastic:

Pogba - Ander
Carrick
Replace Carrick with Weigl or Xhaka. That is as good as it gets.

I wonder how much hype would it be around this guy if he came from a French club and not from United? Not much, I'm guessing.

If he's worth 100M, how much is Verratti worth? 250M?

Verratti and Pogba in the same midfield would be

We should have offered to trade ADM for Verratti.
Verratti is the future of the Italian midfield.

Why do everyone here think he will be at City? He would probably already play for Barca if it wasn't for the transfer ban. I still see him in Spain, no doubt about that. Pep will make City more attractive, but they still won't compete with Barca or Real.
Really don't get the raving for City, will be a very tough challenge for Pep.

In answer to your first Q: money.

Agree it's going to be a challenge but let's face it, it's been a done deal for several years so he's well prepared.

I think you underestimate the clout having unlimited financial resources, Guardiola, CL football and the whole world's interest gives you.

The fees being banded around for him are incredibly inflated, but I don't think he is overrated. Every time I watch Juve, he dominates. Everything goes through him. He's a very complete player and he's only going to get better. He needs to be tested at the highest level week in week out, so it's a testament to his ability that he's linked with every elite club possible.

Really, why?

Because Carricks legs are gone and he won´t get any better next year. Additionally both Pogba and Herrera are offensive #8s and don´t support the 3rd midfielder enough to make it work. Pogba and Herrera also don´t really complement each other well. Last but not least, we have Schneiderlin, who is a very good player and we should make good use of him.

Pogba will be one of the best midfielders of the world. But for that money we could sign Gundogan, Neves and Tielemans.

He is not overrated but inflation is football is a lot higher than in the rest of the economy so it is hard to wrap your head around some of the prices. You can't even say he is overpriced. If someone is willing to pay what Juve are asking, then the price is within the margins of what is acceptable in the market.

Yeah, he's overrated, people think he's one of the best players in the world and he's not even the best midfielder of his age. He's got fantastic physical qualities, but there is more to being a great midfielder than that.

I'm yet to see him have a good game against a top team, or dominate, as you put it. Last season he was probably the third or forth best midfielder in his team, yet some idiots think he's a top 10 or top 20 player.

If he went to Juve straight from some club in France he wouldn't have even half the hype he has now. Same shit happens to Coman, every time he does something good people think he is the second coming, mainly so they can laugh how stupid were Juve to let him go.

He dominated City in the CL. Probably was motm if I'm honest. He has been in good form for us since around October being one of our best players.

No one thinks he's one of the best players in the world. No one.

But given his age he has the potential to be one of the best. And you pay for potential.

Against City i thought Sandro was your best player in the second game and Morata in the first. But Pogba was also good.

Whilst I agree that Verratti is the superior player, an all-action midfielder who combines physique with technical ability with his physical stature is always going to be of more value than a refined metronome type (who is also insanely gifted technically) of midfielder. Verratti, if he ever does make a move elsewhere, will probably end up costing £40m+ I'd imagine, which still isn't peanuts.

He was in the team of the year and you could also look up one of those "name your top 10 players" threads here on the Caf if you think nobody thinks he's one of the best....

Very true.

So many people on here think it's 2005 prices.

2016 will be insane. £50m is going to be a good right backs price.

For £40m+ you're talking Rabiot, not Verratti. He would be quite a bit more expensive than the quoted prices for Pogba if he was ever for sale.
