Pogba available for €100M to interested parties

Trying to cash in before the hype dies down or a genuine superstar?

Level has seemed to have dropped after losing Pirlo and Vidal. Definitely not worth 100m.

watched him yesterday, didn't do much. Evra on the other hand scored a cracking header from a corner. give them 100m for him

the only young player (<25yo) worthy splashing that big sum would be Alaba in my opinion.

Neymar?

Pogba isn't worth half the money for me. Don't really need him either. As carrick replacement we should look at a different type of midfielder.

He isn't even worth worth half as Pyroblazer says, especially with his performance at the CL Final and the season Juve are having at the moment.

Thats abit harsh to say the least this is a team game afterall and Pogba was never a Ronaldo type. He needs good players around him to shine I'm sure as would most midfielders like him.

He'd be a Schneiderlin replacement if anything we need a world class athletic DM to replace Carrick IMO.

He still needs to get the basics right. He's trying too hard to do something outrageous all the time when he doesn't have to.

If he fulfils his potential he's worth €100 million but is it a risk worth taking? He seems to have the right attitude and has a good chance of fulfilling his potential.

Right now he's not playing at his best but he has those moments of brilliance that results in a goal or an assist.

If he can get the basics right first he will definitely be on track to be one of the best in the world.

schneiderlin is perfect long term replacement for carrick, basti perfect short term... there¨s no need to replace him "more", he is already replaced. Id add someone like fabregas/thiago to the team, pereira is close to it having bit of herrera too... we dont need pogba

I wouldn't touch a player under Raiola's control with a ten foot pole even if the price was actually reasonable.

Pogba+Possesion Football = ?

Seriously though not even worth 60 mil; arguably a younger version of freddy guarin in the serie A. .
He's incredible on the ball, so any form of possession football won't be an issue for him.

That next bit there is just madness. Can't believe you've seen much of these two players if you think that's the case.

Pete Doherty has a better chance of getting along with Van Gaal as a United player than Paul Pogba. He'd be moaning about something within a month, then he'd get dropped for poor attitude. Himself or the agent would be angling for a move before Christmas and Louis would have him refusing to line out for the U21's by Easter.

Would prefer to spend 100mil having my sack tattooed sky blue, than sit through the tedious saga this would inevitably bring. There are far better options/areas we could be spending money on.

Since when does Paul Pogba have a poor attitude?

I mean in terms of his response to Van Gaal's methods. A better way would be to call it a massive ego rather than a poor attitude.

Valdes and Ibrahimovic don't have poor attittudes but both fell out with Van Gaal. I would see the same happening with players like Ronaldo, Pogba, Suarez or Tevez.

Valdes & Ibra are poor examples of players without attitude issues. Valdes refused to play for the reserves & has himself admitted to being a difficult person to work with. Ibra is Ibra, he's clashed with so many of his Managers, as he thinks he knows better.
Could also say the same of Sir Alex, as both he & Van Gaal are Managers who expect their players to follow their requirements.

Call me old fashioned but I believe that the ballpark figure being cited is still reserved for attacking players.

Modric is the best CM in the world - arguably. He went for €40m

Both players have excellent attitudes when it comes to training and improving themselves as footballers.

Both have large egos and issues when it comes to getting along with people, especially those in authority.

I was simply pointing out that in my opinion, Pogba has a similar issue with authority

Not the thread for this I know, but don't wrote off Schneiderlin just yet. We all know some players struggle to adjust to just how different is from a lot of other clubs (evra, Vidic, shaw to name a recent few - yes some were new to the league and that takes time I know. Others weren't new but still struggled)

Let's give Schneiderlin and Memphis a season to adjust before we start talking about replacing them

Back to the topic, 100m is too much imo, I'd rather spend 120 on Neymar and 40 on a top central midfielder which I'm sure you can still get for that money

As Valdes refused to play for the reserves, it's hardly an endorsement for his professional attitude.

Sorry I took your post as a swipe at Van Gaal's methods, as that's all the rage on here. But for me Managers are there to Manage, not pander to the needs of the players.

When has Pogba had an issue with authority? When has he proven to have a massive ego?

Also when did Ibra work under LVG?

Pogba does come across as though he's already made it, I'm not sure if he has a problem with authority but an ego complex is obvious.

Ibra did play for Ajax when Koeman and VG were there

Wasn't van Gaal at Alkmaar? I can't remember that Ibra played under van Gaal.

Van Gaal managed Ajax as well. Ibra must have played for him or why does he not like him. You can't have that strong opinion about someone you have had no association with.

They clashed during van Gaal's one year spell as director of football at Ajax in 2003/04. Koeman was the manager back then if I remember correctly.

He has already made it. Also its not the wisest thing in the world to judge players by their mannerisms as such. You'd think that Neymar has a big ego but his national teammates all say he's extremely humble.

Pogba could be one of those early developers who have the body of a 25 year old when they're 18, hence they stand out more during their junior years but their development projections are a bit optimistic.

Pogba is good but not the world beater some make him out to be. Yaya Toure quality.
