Gaming PlayStation 5

Does anyone have any tips for beating the rush on the argos drop tonight? Is it just pure pot luck?!

Get there early and start refreshing. Have your account logged in and ready to go, save your payment details and address in advance. The less clicking and loading you need to do the better

Worth trying both the app on your phone and desktop site

Okay noted. Thoeritically I can get it up on 4 devices. My mate can probably do another 2 for me and I think I can probably get my girlfriend to try too. Let’s hope that’s enough firepower.

He wants to earn his bread for little Elvis. I say let him. The stupid cnuts are the ones who pay the silly prices. Without them, scalpels wouldn’t exist, so it’s a two way street.

If people wern't using bots/ doing all they can do to get 15 consoles people wouldn't need to resort to eBay to get their kids a Christmas present.

I could have picked up a couple today, but I'd rather give someone who doesn't have an order a chance.

Not really. Just bid crazy amount on their listings and don’t pay them. Paying them just enables them to do it again next time. There will be more PlayStation 5s available. Sony aren’t closing up shop after the 19th November.

I'm just playing a little game called Capitalism

The PS+ Collection is great value though. Even if, like me, you've had PS+ throughout the generation and got all the games on that, there are still a number of games like Days Gone, Persona 5 etc that are new to you. Great for those who are swapping from Xbox to PlayStation and great for patient gamers like me who don't buy games instantly apart from the odd exception (FF7R).
Yeah it's dope. Shame I already have most of them (and haven't even started most either), I wish I wasn't such a sucker for sales. For the few I haven't got though it's great news...

2 years to get a $50 drop.

The machine isnt where the savings are made, its in buying games behind the curve. If you can bring yourself to wait a couple of years before getting the machine, then just buy the best older games on sale, you pay ~£20 per game that was £50-60 on release. Definitely not for everyone, but a good idea if you're happy to wait.

Yeah but what the feck do I do for those couple of years? Socialize? Have a life? Mow the lawn?

Sounds awful, glad I pre-ordered.

Sorry for my continued spamming in this thread, just wondering if anyone has heard anything about John Lewis pre-orders or Simply games and I don’t think they have launched yet.

Simplygames have the prices up and I think you needed to have registered interest.

I think Simply Games tweeted earlier to say that you had to pre-register to get one of their systems - you can probably still add your name to the list, but you might be near the end at this point. No clue about John Lewis, or Tesco etc for that matter.

Amazon will definitely have more stock, even if you miss Argos you should still be ok if you keep a close eye out.

Noted, cheers.

I've decided to get mine early in the new year when maybe the initial rush has been and gone. Will get the disc version as I often sell a lot of games after I complete them. Still got CyberPunk to come for the PS4

For anyone interested in the PS5 version of Watch Dogs Legion, the cheapest place seems to be on Smyths Toys where it's £49.99. Not a bad price, considering a lot of the next-gen games seem to be in the £60-£70 range.

I managed to pre-order a PS5 this morning on Amazon. I guess that I was just lucky with the timing.

According to HUKD, Very are sending cancellation emails to some people. And that’s why you order a back up @esmufc07.

I have a standard edition on order from Amazon but would prefer a digital edition. Wonder if its just best to keep an eye out for any stock and then cancel the existing order. Not very hopeful given the demand.

Also found out that FIFA 21 wont support cross gen multiplayer. What kind of BS is that?
