Does anyone know if you can pre-order by calling your local store? I've been told to self-isolate because I have covid symptoms and haven't been able to get a test yet, so obviously can't go in store and would prefer to be able to go and collect anyway. Have Currys, Argos and Game pretty near me and have no real preference unless one has better rewards or deals.
Anyone in the North America region been able to pre order yet? Just woke up and nowhere has it available
The big US stores including Amazon and Walmart went live before midnight last night. Resetera was about to burn down best buy, they were very upset!
ah ok cheers well I’ve been slowly going digital anyway I rarely buy a disk anymore. I think I’ve played pretty much every game I want to on ps4 at this point.
I’ll likely get the digital one and save the cash I think, I’m not actually too bothered about getting it on launch so if there is less digital systems I can wait it out if I need to.

PS4 version playable on PS5, free next gen upgrade comes in 2021.
Pre-ordered mine this morning in-store at Game. Spoke briefly to the manager who was explaining that the neighbouring store had sold out of digital versions at that point. You can definitely pre-order by going into the shop; however, it’ll probably be on a shop-by-shop basis regarding the models each store has in stock, if at all. For what it’s worth, the one I was in had both available at 0930.
Obviously it’s circumstantial but couldn’t you try your luck by calling into a few stores today and see if you can pre-order? I wouldn’t wanna try and get my hands on one on release day without a pre-order, personally.
How is Cyberpunk going to work then? To my knowledge you have to buy the PS4 version and there'll be a free upgrade at some point to give it next gen enhancements.

Not amazing. You could go into a Currys or Game this evening and try your luck. Game ended online orders but some stores will still have inventory
I'd love to know the numbers they've sold already. Either they've throttled supply or demand is insane.
I just had a mini heart attack when I saw the pic further up thay showed Cyberpunk in a PS5 box. I preordered Cyberpunk but due to how vast that game will be I'm considering holding off playing it until the enhancement update. That'll give me plenty of time to play Spiderman and Demon's Souls.
Same, I’d much rather have the full PS5 experience next year to be honest.

Question from a tight Yorkshireman... Anyone recall how long it took for the PS4 to drop in price after release?
It’s not worth waiting. Think it dropped like £100 in its entire life cycle. To me, the two years you’d need to wait for even some reduction is worth less than the fun you can have on day one.
I definitely don't need it day one - because I never buy games at full price... but yeah probably not worth waiting too long, the missus can get it me for my birthday or something.
I wouldn't expect it to drop much within a year. You will maybe get a better bundle in 6 months time. The current bundles etc don't have any reduction in price at all compared to buying seperately.
There isn't a big margin on modern consoles, the digital version might even be sold at a loss until they get the cost of materials down a bit
