is this if you want reward points and had to check out as a guest?
Yeah, they had login issues last night and just said they can provide the reward points to your account if you email when the PS5 is dispatched.
Thats great, thanks. I don't shop in game very often, but 1800 seemed like a lot of points to miss out on. Though I would give up the points if they would just send me a bloody confirmation email.
Nope afraid not and to make matters worse I actually have to do some work too haha.@TrustInJanuzaj
Any luck? Your efforts have me checking this thread instead of the Transfer Tweets thread!
Hopefully it’ll come through today! I got mine last night at 23:44, but I think I was lucky as I didn’t experience any lag or anything on the site.
Yeah FFs go on sale every other month I get what you mean though about the convenience of being able to use other websites for codes, it’s something I hadn’t considered before. My mistake. Just checked and the original is still double the price on PSN
its also against the Ebay rulesSeeing a few confirmed pre-orders for sale on Ebay. One currently had 28 bids and is going for £7,700 - something tells me the seller isnt seeing a penny of that...
I've just looked at the 'Double Discount' page of the PSN Store - AC Origins is £42 and RDR2 is £42.59Yeah FFs go on sale every other month I get what you mean though about the convenience of being able to use other websites for codes, it’s something I hadn’t considered before.
Then don’t buy itI've just looked at the 'Double Discount' page of the PSN Store - AC Origins is £42 and RDR2 is £42.59
I've just bought a better version of Origins will all DLC for £15. RDR2 is on Game Pass but I could buy it for £33.
It's time to admit the digital PS5 isn't good value.
Then don’t buy it
Could the site staff kindly troll each other in the mod forum
All true, but a console is always worth whatever price if it's only bought for the exclusives IMO. Up to the customer to decide that.I've just looked at the 'Double Discount' page of the PSN Store - AC Origins is £42 and RDR2 is £42.59

'Not next gen games' as Elvis would say, yikes.
MRW I come back to find Veeva and Elvis have been made staffWhich site staff?
Just gone to curry’s and now I have 2 on preorder will be cancelling Amazon’s one.
Will you be able to buy digital games via CD Keys (or otherwise) like you can for the PSN subscription? Being locked into only purchasing from the Play Station store might end up being more expensive over time.
I currently play Fifa, and not that often so I won't by either any time soon, but what's the consensus between digital vs disk?
.....can you send me oneJust gone to curry’s and now I have 2 on preorder will be cancelling Amazon’s one.
“We think that if gamers are making a decision on a piece of hardware that is going to last them for several years, they want certainty. They want certainty that it's going to be future proofed. They want certainty that when it comes to upgrade their television to a 4K version, for example, that PS5 will be completely compatible.
"Also, developers, they need to be able to work in an unconstrained manner, and they've been telling us for over a year now that PS5 allows them to do that. Equally, they've been telling us how intrigued and delighted by the PS5 feature set [they are]. All in all, we have tried to minimise or avoid compromises in the architecture of the systems."
"For us, having a catalogue of games is not something that defines a platform," Ryan says. "Our pitch, as you've heard, is 'new games, great games.' We have had this conversation before -- we are not going to go down the road of putting new releases titles into a subscription model. These games cost many millions of dollars, well over $100 million, to develop. We just don't see that as sustainable.
"We haven't shown yet any of the user experience of the PS5, and there's some really cool stuff to come on that", promised Ryan.
"The stuff we've seen this year has astonished us, and opened our eyes to opportunities that we didn't think existed. So along numerous vectors, there are opportunities for us to grow our community and bring PlayStation to more people all around the world."

Yeah I agree, although pretty much everyone here will also be buying third party games. All true, but a console is always worth whatever price if it's only bought for the exclusives IMO. Up to the customer to decide that.
Well I might as well! Why not make it a hat trick with Argos tomorrow?
Yep in store the staff were completely blindsided by this, felt quite bad!in store? yea that seems to be the way to go. Glad you got sorted.
Well all my eggs are firmly in the Argos basket, I’m gonna have to get a small army to try and help me secure.
Yeah I agree, although pretty much everyone here will also be buying third party games.
Ps5 is a great console either way.
It’s just a few here have tried to make out that the digital is great value, and I don’t believe that to be the case. Some of the most fanboyish have even suggested it blows the series S out the water, which definitely isn’t the case when you consider why many would go that route.
Pretty obvious that they wouldn't push the PS Now route, not initially at least. Subscription model suits first parties with GaaS which Microsoft heavily lean into, while Sony's first parties are pretty much all single player experiences with not a lot of microtransactions. PlayStation have been linked with acquiring a few studios which have multiplayer as a focus so it might be an avenue they're exploring, but wouldn't expect anything for the first few years of the generation at least when the infrastructure needs to be upgraded first.Interview with my source (Jim Ryan)

The problem is I’m limited to what I can do what with work so really online is my only option.I hope they announce what time they are going live in advance. Either that or be at a store the moment they open
It's a tough one for me as I would only ever suggest a PlayStation (or a Nintendo console for that matter) to someone if there are multiple exclusive games they're interested in. If it's going to be your only machine and you crave certain PS5-only games, I still think the Digital PS5 is a good deal to get straight into the meat of it at £360. I think you're right in the long-term thing, as some games on the PlayStation store obviously seem to for some reason have higher prices during sales or as standard a lot of the time. However, if you're the kind of person who was just going to buy these on release at full price then there is no difference (except you save £90 from the outset) and get your PlayStation exclusive content.Yeah I agree, although pretty much everyone here will also be buying third party games.

You'd be better off keeping the pre order and flogging 1 on ebay, people always pay extra when they missed the pre order an desperately want one.Just gone to curry’s and now I have 2 on preorder will be cancelling Amazon’s one.
