I agree – although think will get one mainly because of GTA 6.

The upgrades on current games look fairly minimal – but forthcoming games that have been developed with the Pro in mind will likely be a bigger jump and run better. Plus having the bigger hard drive is a plus.

I don't understand why some games have added a visual mode for the Pro which pushes the graphics (with raytracing etc) yet limits you to 30FPS. It should just be a blanket 4K @ 60FPS – unless there are some strange people who would be happy to drop back down to 30FPS??

Yeah, I use it a hell of a lot.

In the year I've had it, I've gone from not even being level 50 on ESO to now having more Champion Points than you (733) and that is pretty much all through playing on the Portal. Through the Portal I've also finished Spider-Man 2, Sea of Stars, Crisis Core Reunion, A Plague Tale Requiem and still on my neverending quest to finish Rebirth. So convenient to use.

ive got mine arriving tomorrow (the anniversary one) I dont have my PS5 connected via ethernet. How bad will it be or is it passable?

I’ve tried both and it didn’t seem to make much of a difference, so i stuck with wireless as it was easier. I have a good WiFi mesh system in the house though which helps. Only room I get stutter in is the kitchen where we have no point. Everywhere else is perfect.
 
Bought Silent Hill 2 three days ago thinking it'll never be on the black friday sale this early in its life :mad:. Oh well!

Got mine this morning. Seems to work well. Maybe the odd little stutter. I dont have the option yet to cloud stream. Does everyone have the update? I do have main premium PS plus thing so i shoudl be eligable for it

Path of exile 2 livestream later tonight. Paid early access on ps5 starts 6th December I think.... quite looking forward to this as I found diablo 4 a bit dull in the end and am needing a new ARPG fix
 
39 quid for a dualsense on Amazon black friday isn't a bad deal. Picked one up as the controller which came with my system is knackered

I have ordered a 3rd! PS5 pro. Here's hoping for better. Going to stick with this one unless it won't turn on.

Looking forward to giving Horizon forbidden West another go. It's meant to look great on the Pro. Also, I want to check out GT 7 in VR, which has had an update.

I love the dualsense but it’s such an unreliable piece of shit compared to previous controllers. Had one that got drift and now on my current one the x button keeps getting stuck so I’ll have to get yet another one. I’m not even a heavy gamer on the ps5!

It's the battery that annoys me. It's even the same shitty battery on the Edge!!

It's probably something got in there, or the membrane has moved (raged out and thrown it lately? :lol:)

It's a very easy fix, I've done about 4 of them now, but there's definitely a design flaw with these controllers. So much crap can get inside them, and so much can move around.

Yeah, you have to take it apart, but it's not difficult and doesn't take long. There are plenty of YT videos showing how, you only really need a small screwdriver and a knife. Just have to be careful with some of the connector ribbons, but it's not overly fiddly.

Shouldn't have to do it, of course, but it's better than having to keep replacing them. It's also how you can properly clean the sticks to help with the drift too.
