Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Is the number of games which PS+ users receive each month likely to remain the same, do you think? Also, what are the chances that they will start to throw in lesser games? I know in the past there have been some amazing deals through the PS+ system.

Hopefully the quality of the service isn't reduced now that so many more people will be taking advantage of it.

It's an interesting point. Ps+ only really became exceptional in the twilight year or so of the ps3.

I wouldn't expect them to give full PS4 retail titles other than Drive Club for the first year or so either, at least as long as there are relatively few games for the system. It'll get better with time just like in PS3's case, meanwhile it'll keep providing great value for PS3 and Vita - people who own all 3 Sony systems will get full benefits but even with only one of them at home you're still pretty good off with the subscription as it only costs about £3 a month.

They've already said that they'll keep their current policy of 12 games available at any given time. The ratio will change though obviously - it'll be 2 PS3, 2 PS4 and 2 PS Vita, I reckon most of the time it's going to be one big title and one indie/older game.

But the very nature of PS+ has changed, from an optional add on to a practically compulsory purchase. I wouldnt be surprised if it changes quickly

It's the only big PS3 exclusive franchise that I ignored. Not really sure why, because while I love open world sandbox games, it's a pretty unique style and story compared to most. I remember looking at it when the first one released and feeling I wouldn't get past what seemed to be awkward controls, but there was no excuse for me to not pick it up cheap later on.

Second Son looks awesome though, definitely this and The Order are going to be the biggest things to tempt me to get a PS4. Well, tonight might bring a new Naughty Dog IP, a new Santa Monica IP (though, I'm not a big GoW fan), a new Epic IP or perhaps Gears.. or maybe......... Crash Bandicoot.

Man, a Crash Bandicoot game done by Naughty Dog would guarantee the console a place in my room, regardless of all other games. How do you Naughty Dog fans feel about that though; would you feel their talents were being wasted on a platforming (or karting) game?

Honestly I'd rather Naughty Dog continued down their current route, I think its nailed on Uncharted 4 is coming but I'd rather that second team worked on a Last of Us sequel (I know, it stands alone great but I'm greedy, I need more of that series). Crash could be done by a smaller developer with guidance from ND, Sony Bend link up again perhaps?

Regarding tonight, I was gonna take a nap and wake up for it but I'm past the point of no return now. Yosp streaming has sold me on Sound Shapes though, I'll be grabbing that little game at launch.

So who else is getting it tonight? And does it come out next week in the UK and Europe? I should be getting my hands on one in around 3 hours

Really impressed by the PS4 Interface, I wasn't aware of the Twitch Streaming or the really neat video recording stuff. It's all very quick and snappy too. Very little delay time.

How'd you get one?!

Doubt they would go back to Crash Bandicoot, i wouldn't be surprised if they are done with Uncharted as well. After all, look at there track and they don't really work on franchises beyond 3 games or a generation. I don't think they hold the rights to the crash bandicoot character anyway.

Gears needs to die as well, and it sounds like Epic want to take a break anyway.

I suspect Fortnite will be announced as a PS4 exclusive by Epic tonight.

Fortnite is the game being worked on by Epic Poland right? The dev team who made Gears of War Judgement?

Would make sense. I would be surprised if the main Epic development team would make another exclusive series after Gears of War.

Well, they lost the rights to Crash after 4 games if you include Crash Team Racing. I expect Uncharted 4, infact I'd bet money on it (not tonight, in general).

I want to see Uncharted 4 but it would be equally awesome if Naughty Dog revealed something new.

Also, I'd love for them to announce The Last of Us is coming to PS4 as part of the PS+ collection.

I wonder if there is a chance the DLC will be cross gen and on PS4 even if TLOU isnt. Wouldnt surprise me.

I really hope Naughty Dog have at least one more Uncharted game to come, since it was probably my favourite series of games on the PS3. Although it would be great to hear they were doing a new Crash game too.

I've never really been a big fan of Gears, so beyond the Naughty Dog stuff, I hope we just get lots of new things which none of us have predicted!

The Last of Us DLC looked interesting. Unless I heard wrong, you'll be playing as Ellie again.

I'm slightly confused by the Last of Us trailer, I thought they were done telling the story of Joel and Ellie? Seems they aren't done with Ellie, at least.

Naughty Dog traditionally always show their trailer premieres at the VGA's, but nice to finally know its coming.

Are they done announcing exclusive games?

And yes the adverts are fecking annoying.
