No in terms of judging what next gen will look like. Tech demos for PS3 were much the same but the actual gameplay looked no where near as good.
A tech demo is not all about fancy graphics and lightning effects. Like Weaste said, if you cannot look past that, then it's most likely not aimed towards you.
It's going to be subjective anyway and it doesn't really matter, it won't look as good as any screenshots they might show anyway.
You're probably getting confused with the infamous killzone 2 annoucement trailer. Which was not a tech demo, just a pre rendered trailer.
The tech demo of the new Killzone is actually a tech demo running on a PS4 dev kit.
There is a PDF oand a Powerpoint slide going somewhere, the thing was for other developers to see what they are dioing and how they are doing it. It's not meant for shaggy.

Yes, it will probably be a port of the ps3 version or if its from the ground up a stripped down version like fifa 06 was on Xbox 360
Most people will still be on ps3/360 so it wouldn't make financial sense for EA or Konami to concentrate on next gen platforms. I think the next world cup game will give us the first real glimpse of what next gen football games could potentially be as development for next gen consoles ramps up.
If this is out in October, can we assume the likes of GTA 5, dark souls and the new COD will be ported to PS 4?
