Review embargo is up at 3pm (UK time) tomorrow i think. Don't expect it to get crazy reviews like 10s or anything; i think it will be more like 8s.

GoW is insanely fun.I got a bunch of Amazon vouchers for my birthday (spits). Planning to use them on either Spiderman or GoW. I know everyone is gushing over GoW but Spiderman looks more fun.
Tried accessing it but seems their site is down - given they are the first to post a review not exactly surprising!Embargo broken. 5/5 from the aptly named Impulse Gamer.
Spider-Man for PS4 marks a game which is a joy from start to finish. It is not only one of the best games to be released this year, it is one of the defining games of a generation. This game represents the best work we have ever seen from Insomniac and the potential for sequels is a mouth-watering prospect.
If you have a 4k HDR TV, yes.So I was planning on using the beautiful red spiderman console as an excuse to get a PS4 Pro.
However, the special edition only comes in a standard ps4, and the ps4 pro is exclusive to game.. and of course is now sold out..
So, probably this questions been asked a few times but.. is the ps4 pro worth the difference?
Swinging around is too much fun in this one. Like seriously god tier traversal. Combat is excellent too. And the story is up there with God of War. I played quite a bit thanks to an old friend who reviews games. His review is here: https://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/revi...ps4-download-game-length-release-date-1911146Can anyone highlight the main reasons to buy spiderman? Like is it just a glorified version of the old game where you swing around? I understand there’s no online play or anything.
You could try reading some reviews given that none of us have played it. It's not released until Friday. Can anyone highlight the main reasons to buy spiderman? Like is it just a glorified version of the old game where you swing around? I understand there’s no online play or anything.

Spider-Man. I’ll give you some reasons:Which game did you enjoy more? This or GoW?
Spider-Man. I’ll give you some reasons:
- Spider-Man is much easier for newbies. I don’t game thaaaat much but I did take some time to finish many of GoW’s puzzles especially towards the end.
- Spider-Man has some really fun stealth sections, loved the way you can use enemies to pass obstacles sometimes.
- God of War has amazing combat. Feels a bit sticky thanks to that axe, which I love. Spider-Man on the other hand has that quick punch kick air punch web zip combo finish type lightning fast combat. Takes some time to get used to but damn it’s addictive.
- Spider-Man overall is less serious than GoW. Love the dialogue writing in this is kickass. Lots of humour. After a long day at work I really am not in the mood for a game that takes itself too seriously.
- Spider-Man will appeal to anyone who’s seen even one or two Sam Raimi movies. God of War is more geared towards fans of the first three. I didn’t play the previous GoW games so I didn’t get some of the “fan service” moments.
- Overall I’d say both are great games. Just as we were lucky to have incredible titles like Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 in 2017, we are ridiculously lucky to get two top games this year in God of War and Spider-Man. Hope this helps.

Sorry mate, played it on my friend’s Pro. I love the fact that cinematic cutscenes look exactly the same as gameplay footage. There’s a seamless transition between those two. Looks great on the Pro but I don’t know about standard PS4.How does the game look on a standard PS4? Assuming you played it on a standard one, of course. I've read that it looks spectacular on a Pro.
Cheers.Nice one thanks. Looks like Spiderman ticks my boxes.
Main story alone is 20 hours.Apparently Spidey is only 15 hours long which seems so damn short for a €60 game these days, especially an OWG.
I've so much to play right now I think I'll wait til it's cheaper.
Going by IGN it's 15? And supposedly the side quests are meh.Main story alone is 20 hours.
I agree.Ugh don’t care how good a game is, if you announce ‘dlc’ before the game’s actually released then you’re essentially releasing an unfinished game. Think I’ll wait for a sale or genuine complete edition.
I’m not one to lecture others on how to spend their hard earned cash, but I really wish gamers wouldn’t rush into buying these games on day one when they pull shit like this. It only dignifies this half arsed business practice of releasing an incomplete game and then charging you for the rest a few weeks later.
Disagree. I actually think the best thing about the PS4 pro isnt the higher resolution, but rather the improved frame rates. I only have a normal 1080p display but still glad I upgraded my vanilla PS4 to a Pro model. The experience on the ‘performance mode’ really does feel more fluid IMO, but again I’m historically a PC gamer accustomed to higher frames per second. If you have a 4k HDR TV, yes.
I upgraded to a Pro and 4K HDR TV and the difference is huge.Disagree. I actually think the best thing about the PS4 pro isnt the higher resolution, but rather the improved frame rates. Bear in mind not every game offers a performance mode on the PS4 and i don’t know if Spider-Man does, but would be surprised if it didn’t.

I'm new on PS4. Got the Pro in July. Never owned a PS4 before. I have got just 2 games. GoW and Horizon Zero Dawn. What are some of the must-play old games?
Some of the games that I'm interested in getting so far are
Already played Last of Us on PS3 so won't be getting that. I also don't think games like Bloodborne will be to my liking. Some of the new releases that I have thought of getting are Spiderman, Fifa 19 and RDR2. Any big games I'm missing?
- Uncharted 4
- Yakuza 0
- Witcher 3
Thank you! Rocket League sounds really fun and will buy Gran Turismo too (was a big Need for Speed fan). Will get to the other two when time permits. All these games look great.Metal Gear Solid V
Gran Turismo Sport (If you are into driving games)
Persona 5
Rocket League
These aren't really 'big' games but I really enjoyed/still enjoy them
The Last Guardian (from the makers of Shadow of The Collossus, a bit clunky, but brilliant)
SOMA (first person Sci-Fi, very interesting/thought provoking story)
Thumper (Great, intense psychedelic rhythm game, I still play this from time to time when drunk/stoned)
Dead Cells (still playing this its a very good side scrolling metroidvainia type game)
Until Dawn (Horror story game where your decisions & actions can influence the storyline)
