Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

You will not see the benefits of Pro without a 4K TV really, save the money.

I got a cheap 4K to go with Pro though and the improvement was huge.

This game and a lot of others use supersampling really well on 1080p sets plus the increased framerate.

There are many reasons to own a pro, even with a 1080p set.

Destiny 2 worth downloading? It's free with PS+.

Didn't play the first game but wondering if it's worth playing as apparently two new expansions came out recently so will I be locked out of the majority of the game?

I'd be up for playing it with some CAF people at some point.

Does it matter if you are rubbish and run around like a madman (not man man)

Def worth it, I'm enjoying it and wouldn't mind a couple people to run about like a madman with

New FIFA
Spiderman
Tomb Raider
Red Dead

Plus downloading mafia 3 and already downloaded God of War, and started GTA.

Plus Fortnite (is life)

Do I feck myself? Should I quit work to play all of these?

September through to December is always brutal.
I'm going with:
The golf club
FIFA
Tomb raider
Assassin's creed oddysey (possibly)
Black ops 4
Hitman 2
Spyro

Still need to buy God of War, Horizon and that Assassin's Creed Electric Boogaloo. In fact I need to buy something from this year and play it. Anything. fecking Tetris would be amazing right now.

Tried my brother's PS4 Pro yesterday on his 4K TV. I now wish I hadn't. God of War and PES look stunning on it.

GoW.

I'm just going around saying this to people for no apparent reason.

Picked up the Spider-Man Edition PS4 Pro yesterday. Makes me regret the years I wasted with an Xbox smh.

Maybe late to the party but I can't believe how much I'm enjoying Spider-man, I'm not a fan of open world game usually, never finish any of GTA game and got bored playing Horizon Zero Dawn, but here I am just swinging around NY and beating thugs, definitely one of the most fun I've had since Monster Hunter World

Edit : A lot of FIFA players here, no love for PES??

I don't think I asked this question - I'm getting a 55 inch (replacing my 32 inch non 4K) 4K TV tomorrow but I have a standard PS4. Can I still expect a big upgrade in my gaming experience?

No. You'll just have a better picture on your TV, but that will have nothing to do with the PS4.

No upscaling at all? I mean it should look better just by the TV being so much better. But I thought 4K TVs do a little bit of upscaling.

yeah but I'm on about the TV, not the PS4. assumed you were asking if the standard PS4 had any sort of upscaling or whatever for 4k. It doesn't.

Does your new TV have HDR? Standard PS4's are HDR compatible so you'll see a big improvement with that.

Sorry I'm basically asking whether I'll experience an upgrade going from normal 32 inch TV with HD (like all of them have) to 56 inch ultra HD 4K despite not having a pro.

My current TV also has HDR but I think there's a difference between this Ultra HD on the 4K telly's and my TVs 720p one. Or at least I hope so.

So I'm playing my first ever God of War that's free now on PS Plus.

Is it wrong that i fecked Aphrodite and enjoyed it?.... twice?

I had a similar issue - my PS was setup in the UK and I no longer had a UK card..

I bought UK PSN cards from here:

https://www.play-asia.com/search/sony+psn

The advantage here is that you can pay for them using any credit card - whereas if you try and buy UK PSN cards from UK Amazon, then you still need a UK credit card / method of payment.

Have bought a number of cards from them - you usually get the PSN code instantly - sometimes takes a few minutes, and they you can just add it to your wallet on your UK profile.

Hey swoosh the only one I see here is sold out. Is there another method?

With all the remasters on PlayStation, I hope that one day they look into doing a re-release of Legend of Legaia from the PS1. That game was an absolute masterpiece.
