Rocket League is one of the best games ever definitely pick it up and Gran Turismo is what you'd expect from Polyphony. Wait until you've played the Witcher until you buy a big long game as that game is a total time sink you'll lose days playing it. Rocket League, Thumper and Dead Cells are great games to both get sucked into for hours but also great if you only have an hour or less to burn and don't fancy playing a game where only playing an hour is wasted.

Yeah, I want to take my time with the lengthy single-player games. Will buy them one by one only after I finish the previous one. Rocket League and Gran Turismo both have split screen as well so that's an added bonus. These two will be my first buys and will get the single player games after I finish Horizon Zero Dawn and Witcher 3.
Given in. Bought a PS4 Pro to upgrade. Unfortunately, the beautiful red limited edition spiderman PS4 Pro is sold out form game and they have no idea when, if they will restock.. so i've gone for a plain black one.. Spiderman, here we come... And then i'll sell my old one and get the new Madden and Fifa probably.
And probably replay Horizon and Last Of Us to make the most of the 4k prettiness.

I really tried but couldn't get into Horizon. I think maybe it was the setting or something that I couldn't get into, and wasn't a fan of fighting horse robots but I feel like that wasn't the main reason. Can't put my finger on it.

Fully thought this was coming out on Xbox One as well for some reason. Playstation has all the best exclusives. Although this does look like it'll get repetitive.
I had the same issue. I just wasn't enjoying it all that much and still don't know why.
I couldn't either. Personally I loved the setting - I love the gameplay. But I actually found the combat too hard. I think I was taking on the really dangerous dinosaurs that didn't help. I eventually changed the difficulty to easy which made it loads better - but it was too late by then, I was hooked on God of War (it came out just after I'd started Horizon).
I read the story online so no need to go back to it.

I’m seriously considering buying a PS4, to play things like Spider-Man, god of war and horizon. I don’t have a 4K tv though, and have no intention to buy one in the immediate 3 years or so, unless my tv craps out on me, which it shouldn’t. I should probably just buy a PS4 slim right? I have an Xbox one, but all my friends game on PS4 and I do like the exclusives I mentioned above.
My PS4 often ejects the disc at random. It’s doing my bleedin head in.
In that case i would save the extra money and buy the slim, yeah.
You have the same issue I had. Need to take it apart and stick masking tape on the bit where it hits the eject. It voids the warranty though. Loads of videos online about it
Is it worth upgrading to the Pro? Have the standard release one, have a 4k monitor too.
Yeah just get the slim and then perhaps upgrade to 4k with the PS5.

Good reviews and made by a company with a good history of games.
You will not see the benefits of Pro without a 4K TV really, save the money.
I got a cheap 4K to go with Pro though and the improvement was huge.

Did you make it to Meridian? The game didn’t really convince me until I advanced the plot after reaching Meridian.

Do I need to go and get another high quality hdmi cable in order to get the best quality through to the tv?
Will the lower quality hdmi limit what makes it through the vr unit to the tv?

That's not necessarily true, graphics and frame rates are improved depending on the game. Boost mode alone makes most games run much smoother.
Though whether or not that's worth the extra cash, is debatable.
No. Higher quality cables are generally a bit of a con, the only time they really make a difference is for 4k and even then it's not really likely that the super expensive ones are much better.
HDMI cables are a con. Most electrical retailers make the most roi on them as people think higher priced ones make the most difference. Only thing I would recommend is a gold plated cable as they are generally more reliable.
This. Either it sends the signal or not . Its a digital signal not an analog there for quality or the dropoff wont affect it. The only thing with it is it needs to support the data transfer .

Shit how did you get that? Amazon completely fecked up my delivery last year when I pre-ordered to get early release for Fifa and they "damaged" my product and just never delivered it and I had to wait over a week. I phoned up several times complaining and they didn't give a feck.
Where is the cheapest place to get PS+? CDkeys has 12 months for £39. Is that site reliable and is it the cheapest around?
