Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Heathen.

Though you are a lot older so maybe I have fonder memories of the original just because I was a kid (7) at the time the first was released while you would have been in your 20s.
I blame the parents. You could have been playing res evil 1, MGS1 and Driver 1.

Just binged Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice over the weekend. Incredible game. I don't think I've ever seen a better acted video game character than Senua. It's up there in Naughty Dog territory. That was one heavy experience. I can't recommend it enough.

I thought it was decent. Combat was just a little bit too shit for me. Very atmospheric game though.

There's a lot more to this game than combat, but I actually enjoyed it. There was a very satisfying weight to every move. It made each encounter feel very personal, and every hit I took all the more angering. I thought it served its purpose perfectly.

Thanks, looks like the OLED55C7 will be perfect. I need to choose a sound bar for it too. I've been saving Uncharted 1-3 Remastered, Uncharted 4 and I just bought TLL too. Can't wait to play them on it! I could still go either way on the PS4 Pro though, will see.

If you don't already own a PS4, plan to buy one, plan to buy an HDR 4K TV, and DON'T buy a Pro, you're a nut. :)

I have a launch PS4 but I've barely played the thing. The two games I've played the most on it are both remasters from PS3, annoyingly. But for the sake of the TV and a few games I'll probably be playing in the future that I feel deserve Pro treatment e.g. Uncharted 4 & RDR2 I think the cogs of my mind are already in motion and it's inevitable I'll get one.

In Surviving Mars, players will lead a colonization effort on the surface of Mars, from the very first rovers and supply drops to the construction of suitable habitats for brave settlers from Earth. Every colonist will be vital to the mission as the colony struggles to gain a foothold where the environment is hostile and resources are scarce. With each success, however, players will gain the ability to expand further, and even establish a thriving society – and lead a new generation that has never known the Earth.

So this comes out today. I've quite been looking forward to it. Had a quick go last night and it seems quite good so far, a nice and relaxing chill game for those that like the idea of simulating a colony on Mars. I'd imagine once those bloody humans come into play though the chilled out vibes and relaxing nature of setting up a colony wont last too long.

I loved operation genesis back in the day. Spent hours getting the 5 star rating and then letting t-rex and raptors loose on the visitors. So much fun.

Some more Spiderman footage:

Apparently the release date could be announced today.

Can't wait. Hopefully we'll see a good Spiderman game after loads of failure. The last good Spiderman game I played was Web of the Shadows. Everything later was just ranging from crap to average.

Game looks fantastic; can't wait to play it. Another coup by Sony to get this as an exclusive. They have the best exclusives by far.

Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and RDR2 all come out within a month/month and a half of each other. Gonna be great.

What's all the hype around the new Spidey game? Previous ones haven't been great.

Looking forward to the Spidey game. Hopefully it plays as good as it looks.

For one i think it looks great. From all the videos I've seen the movement looks extremely fluid - which is paramount for this type of game - and they've seem to have done a great job in how the City looks and how it's populated, etc.

Also, it's done by Insomniac Games who have a decent track record (Resistance games, Ratchet and Clank and Sunset Overdrive), and it's also not a silly movie tie-in. It's very much a "proper" game and not some lazy cash grab.

At least that's what i hope it is...

Gutted that Spider-Man isn’t coming to Xbox. Might even trade in my Xbox for a PS4, I used to bloody love the Spider-Man 2 game.
