Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Shadow of Mordor: Game of The Year Edition is £9.99 on PSN store now.

Bargain for anyone that hasn't yet played it.

So I deleted FIFA by accident and now it won't install. I keep getting an error that it can't read the disk but I've been playing on it for weeks before today... any ideas?

Until dawn seems pretty good. Liked the intro I played last night.

Orcs Must Die - Unchained is a free game. I've always enjoyed Orcs Must Die on PC.

It is. Finished the game yesterday and there is a fantastic plot twist if you decide to kill a particular person. Not sure if there is a similar twist if you decide to kill the other person.

Has anyone else had problems downloading games and updates recently?

Just saw the first post for the first time. Is that seriously what people thought the PS4 would look like?:lol::lol:

That looks fecking horrible. Imagine that sitting in your living room.

PS4 installs the game to the hard drive so if you damage your disc you wouldn't know until you try to install it again. Try cleaning the disc and if that doesn't work you could borrow Fifa from someone and install it then you will be able to use your damaged disc to play

Thanks mate. I borrowed my mates disk to install and it's working fine to play with mine.

PS Plus games for August

  • Just Cause 3, PS4
  • Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry, PS4
  • Super Motherload, PS3 (crossbuy with PS4 and Vita maybe)
  • Snakeball, PS3
  • Downwell, PS Vita (crossbuy with PS4)
  • Level 22, PS Vita

For those of you with VR, actually those without too as it's awesome either way, superhot is rather excellent.

Ignore the idiot reviewers who cannot figure out how to set up the camera properly, I've had barely any issues at all with tracking. Occasionally the throws are a little wonky, but all in all it's absolutely brilliant fun :)

Yep, it's great fun (and gives you a good workout as well). I had to rearrange my room because I kept punching the damn wall :wenger:

 I kicked table. It's like Wii boxing levels of exercise.

Throwing a tea cup at a head, catching the gun he drops before it hits the ground and getting a single shot off bang on target before the guy coming down the stairs with a shotgun can, never gets old!

It really is like the freaking Matrix!

Btw, since I only got my PSVR a week ago, do you have any suggestions for games?

So far I've played Worlds, Batman, Rush of Blood, Bound, Thumper, & Apollo 11. I have Robinson & RE7 ready when I get the "legs", although I haven't had almost any motion sickness so far so maybe I'm ready :nervous:

RE7 is perhaps the best game to show VR doesn't have to have motion sickness. I still haven't tried with the 4d candle yet! I really should.

I haven't tried much lately myself, I'm thinking about Arizona Sunset next, I would go farpoint but prices for the aim thing are ridiculous right now. Other than that, Rez is excellent, Job simulator is fun, Time machine and Eagle flight are pretty cool and I actually like the Star Trek game now it has voice commands.

It's going to be very interesting to see what Doom and Skyrim bring, though like Fallout 4vr (if it comes to psvr at all), I think we will begin to see the real differences in quality between the PC and PS4 vr stuff.

Just got an e-mail saying PS Plus membership increasing to €59.99 per year. Think i've got more than my money's worth with free games so an extra €10 isn't so bad!

Buy it on ebay

Granted you are probably funding gangs that steal credit cards, but it's cheaper.

€60 a year is a pretty horrible price tbh

Do you think that's how places like G2A sell PS Plus on ebay for cheaper?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201687911451

I mean, I know they and others sell stolen keys for games, but do they do it for PS Plus?

And why does no one do it for Amazon (very few Amazon keys sold on ebay)
Yeah its bound to be bought fraudulently then sold on, its a set price product (not like you bought a load of football jerseys from a wholesaler at a discounted price). Ebay/Paypal are a bit of a law unto themselves in the industry, Amazon could adopt the same approach but are a bit more willing to comply with Visa and MasterCard.

Well at least I got the 15 for 12 offer a couple of weeks back, but hopefully this means the quality of the monthly PSN games gets better.

Who am I kidding.

PlayStation®Plus prices are changing
From 00:01 BST on 31 August 2017 we are changing the prices of PlayStation®Plus.

- Annually, the price will change from £39.99 to £49.99 per annum.
- Quarterly, the price will change from £14.99 to £19.99 per quarter.
- Monthly, the price will change from £5.99 to £6.99 per month.

I'm pretty peed off with this.

Even though I share PS Plus with my brother. Even though I try to get it at a discounted rate... it still seems like it's too expensive considering the games.

Happy that I bought 15 months for £30 in the Amazon prime day sale

Agree, they've also increased the price twice over a short period of time, i cancelled my subscription i hardly play it anymore anyway.

I had my PS Plus set to auto renew without being aware of it. £40 lighter at the start of July when there were 15 month deals for around £30. Peeved.

As for the 'free' games, we didn't used to get any. Count your blessings. Just Cause 3 this month is good, anyway, though not as good as 2.

I cancelled my PS Plus membership a long time back and haven't looked back since.
Think I will do the same when my PS Plus expires... which is admittedly next year sometime.

Then rebuild my PC and play single player PS4

I enjoyed Black Flag, but I haven't tried the DLC, so I don't know what aspect of the game it concentrates on. The sailing and ship battles were a nice distraction from the usual Ass Creed worn out formula.

Is PSN down for anyone else?????

Website says it's up, but I can't sign in.

Or have I been hijacked again
