I know this wasn't aimed at me - but just to jump in and say personally got no interest in VR. I'm very happy with games at the mo - have zero interest in VR.You getting the VR headset?

think I'll be waiting until the new year to upgrade to the Pro, don't have a 4K telly so in no rush after diving into the PS4 on release day and seeing the price reductions and bundle deals a few months later was annoying.
I can't think of one significant reason to upgrade from the normal ps4 as opposed to buying the new Xbox unless you're a huge Sony/PlayStation fan.
Microsoft won't want to wait too long - the longer they leave it the more sales they could be losing out to the Pro...The Scorpio? well that's at least one year away, wouldn't be surprised if its more honestly, thats a long time to wait. Sony with the VR and Pro in a years time will be light years ahead of microsoft.
The Xbox One S looks decent at the moment but ultra blu ray aside it will be on the verge of old tech next year with 2 more powerful consoles on the market.
So what have you been doing in the interim then? My PS4 has had as much use as my PS3 and XB360 got, shit loads. Minor gripes aside I can't say I'm anywhere close to regretting buying it at launch. It's been solid...
GW: So, in terms of future games supporting 4K/HDR: Will the patches be free, or will there be a cost?
Masayasu Ito: I think it depends on each title and each licensee/third-party.
GW: How about when it comes to SIE?
Masayasu Ito: I think that it will differ for each title (inside the group, meaning different sects of SIE's first parties)
GW: So, each title will have a fee, but it will become free?
Masayasu Ito: That's right.
After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.
Like you, we are disappointed by Sony’s decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive. We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience. However, until Sony will allow us to offer proper mod support for PS4, that content for Fallout 4 and Skyrim on PlayStation 4 will not be available.
We will provide an update if and when this situation changes.
What a shite decision, what exactly is the problem?
reasons brought up a few months ago when they said mods would be delayed:
https://bethesda.net/#en/devnotes/cr...-for-uploading
"KNOWN ISSUES WITH PS4 MODS
PC textures are used. Memory and performance issues may occur. We are working with Sony on optimal texture exporting support in a future update.
Sound files are currently not supported. PS4 sound format is a proprietary format. We are working with Sony on sound file processing support in a future update.
PS4 Mod Storage limit is approximately 900 MB at present. Please do not upload mods larger than 900 MB. We are working with Sony to increase this limit."
Anyone reckon the current model will drop in price any more? A 500GB seems to be about £250 at the moment and I don't want to buy one and it drop in price in a couple of weeks.
The Slim is £250. The current model is going to be phased out, so I expect shops to clear out stock of the current model.
So you could see it for £200.
But will I see it with No Man's Sky and Uncharted 4 for £250?

They need to bring back Crash Team Racing. It's about time the ps4 had a decent racing game similar to Mario kart ... They're just so much fun without being serious.

Think I have:what kind of folders does everyone have going now with the new update?
I arranged mine into the rather boring but tidy 'Currently Playing' 'Backlog' & 'Apps'
Think I have:
RedCafe (FIFA, GTA, Division, Rocket League)
Sports (Madden, NBA, PGA, etc)
Action (Hitman, Assasins Creed, Sniper Elite, etc)
Driving (Driveclub, Trials Fusion etc)
Games (No Man's Sky, R&C etc)
PSN (monthly PS+ games)
Demos & Betas
That's a good shout actually - agree regarding caf names. Why can't more people just use the same?I wish you could sort your friends list and give people on their nicknames... I get confused with some people with different names on psn than the caf.

It's a seagate external which I'm gonna break open and take the drive out. Looks easy on YouTube
