Still no pre download available for Ratchet & Clank, it should be a standard feature at this stage.
Mine downloaded yesterday.
Mine didn't and I have it set to 'auto-download'. Also when I go to the store and try and force a manual download it just shows me the countdown clock to the release date :/
Ok, I've moved onto the acceptance stage now. Dumb move, but I won't be getting one, and if my console starts to look like shit once this comes out or I hear stories of PSVR not working as intended I'll return my VR and I'm back into PC gaming... As it stands, I'm no longer bothered.
I've gradually been moving over to the dark (PC) side anyway since I built my HTPC. I'm not going to be picking up the PS4.5 anytime soon after its release.

Your console is still the same but now there will be one with more graphics and/or framerate. The Base ps4 is obviously going to be the main focus for developers as that is where the 40m users are

You may not understand my initial panic, but there are loads of people losing their shit over this so that's a lot of people that you don't understand.
Tbf the arguments have been done to death, if anyone is confused as to why some people could be against this then just use Google and see what people have been saying, there's always neogaf too...

Neogaf is full of fools. Sit there crying about how games run on ps4. Then when Sony look to release a more powerful console they start to cry.
Still, if you want to see the arguments for and against, can you recommend a better site? There may be one but I don't know it...

But it's already shite in comparison with a good PC. Well I think it seems pretty clear that PSVR is going to be a lot more suited to the new console so perhaps it's safer to not preorder it and wait until reviews
From what I've read the difference in the two consoles is going to be like a more stable framerate for games and not a jump like 30-60. So games like Fallout 4 might finally run at a stable 30 fps. Or Bloodborne which is a Ps4 exclusive and still has performance issues. It's not like the og ps4 is going to turn into a brick overnight
Meh so I pre ordered Ratchet and Clank earlier this week (was charged for the game a few days ago), I thought it was strange to have no pre download available, anyway I'm on the store and when I click on it now it says 'sorry the game is not available at this time'.....great.
I preordered it a few hours ago and was able to start the download instantly.
Still not finished mind, as I have dreadful internet.

Exactly what I'm thinking... so much for cheap entry price, still cheaper than the PC alternatives but it's doubled in the space of a month or so.
Yea so think about what you are saying, to get a properly working game you have to fork out again or deal with a subpar experience... some won't mind but I don't like it on principal. Just like I didn't like the always online stuff, or the used game stuff, etc... I pretty much always feel this way towards shite like this.

Finally got Ratchet & Clank working and wow what a game. Well impressed with it so far, the graphics are amazing as well.

Mine came yesterday, I really want to play it but I'm determined to finish up with the Witcher 3 before I start playing, I was supposed to get a good few hours in last night and hopefully finish it up by the weekend, but instead of doing the main storyline quests I ended up becoming engrossed with exploring all the little uninhabited islands of Skellige to discover the points of interest on them
First world Problems ahoy!R&C is one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played. Just downloaded it at lunch to get it ready for tonight, can't wait.

God I love Spyro. More so than Crash. Bloody Universal. Spyro was amazing. I think the main thing was the glides. Those gliiidddddesss.
And you know, there is something great about having two/three attacks, and having to use have quick fingers to switch between them to take down different enemies. Imagine a 2016 version of Spyro. Dodge, Duck, Dive, Flame, Charge, Roll, Jump Glide.
Aye, I'd play the hell out of a modern reboot/repro of the proper Spyro games. Stone cold classics.
