I doubt you get anything, its not a Sony self-induced outage. If they had managed to bork the servers themselves then by all means I think they would give a little something but this is an attack from an outside source.

I know it is Christmas so a lot of staff will be on a holiday and there will be a sudden spike of new consoles but to allow a DDOS attack for this length of time is pretty shocking. I'm not a technical expert but I know a bit, they should be able to resolve this by now. Apparently the attack has stopped they just need to sort the mess.
Their infrastructure probably isn't up to scratch unless there is a more serious security breach that they are dealing with which is unlikely as Microsoft had the same and have reportedly recovered a chunk of their network. DDOS isn't uncommon, there are plenty of big companies that deal with this regularly.
The fact that they were warned this attack was coming and that some hacker groups are claiming they are helping and saying they are doing more than Sony in some cases is a bit shocking - it is a paid for service after all.

No decent boxing day deals. The best deal so far was the 4 game deal for £350 including tlou gtav and drive club from Argos., but that's expired. Hopefully there will be a decent January deal and I can join you all.

Game have a deal for £300 PS4 (White or Black) TLOU and Driveclub which I think is not too bad tbh.
I am also intrigued to see what compensation Sony gives its customers, It wont be offline as long as it was a few years back but it is a more integral time that it has been taken down at. The amount of gamers over a Christmas period must be insane.

Can sign in now but the store is still down which locks me out of my downloaded content because I share content, but it also locks me out of playing Dragon Age because the DLC used in my save will only load when the store does.
