Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Awesome feck it I'm getting it, 30 quid down the drain. I can't help myself.

They are still selling the PS3 version for €45 here, it's never really had a serious price drop, so the trade in value is still quite high. They gave me €23 for the swap, then €43 for the PS4 version. I've not played Left Behind, so it's a good deal IMO.

Got it for £30 from Gamestop UK, traded the PS3 version in at CEX for £11 cash.

TLOU on PS4 in glorious 60 fps for £19.

For some reason it's saying I need to buy Playstation Plus on one of my profiles. I have 2, why is it not activated for the second account? I've tried renewing licenses, resetting the system etc but nothing working... any ideas?

So, I've bought one :D

Only got Fifa 14 with it for now but would very much like to play TLOU again.

Very excited for it to be delivered!

The official vertical stands are still sold out everywhere, there's 2 on Amazon for £50...the rrp price is £17. I don't want a non official one I hear some of then are causing heat issues with the system.

Weird that its sold out everywhere but yeah I wouldn't buy a non-official unless its been reviewed and recommended by major sites. The official one has slots both inside and out to direct airflow and its sexy.

I have the one from GAME.... seems to have been okay. No heat issues that I know of...

About this summer sale, I read the discounts there now will stay even when new stuff hits Wednesday? Is this right or have I read something wrong.

Also, any idea what might crop up this week? Don't they usually save the best deals till the last week?

Any reason to pick up a PS4 now if I have a gaming PC?

I'm eventually going to pick one up (mostly for FIFA and RPGs) but I've yet to play TLOU, AC: Black flag and I also hear Destiny is a console exclusive.

Is it worth picking one up now then?

Well by the time you have went through black flag and the last of us, it'll be close to the destiny release (early September), then after that the releases are pretty strong and steady. Depends how bored you are at the moment.

I'll just wait for FIFA 15 and Destiny to be released next month and I'll pick em all up with TLOU then I guess.

I'm in the same situation. If they offered a TLoU bundle in the US I might have picked one up, because the games hitting from this holiday season onwards are sploosh worthy...

I cant use my PayPal to add funds..
Always canceled by sender.. Anyone having trouble using it?

I've got a PC and PS4 and I'm mostly on my console these days. TLoU, Destiny and FIFA over the next 1-2 months as well then all the big Xmas games just after. It's good to have both , some games are better on either platform (I prefer racers and FIFA on console etc) then I prefer RPG's, shooters, footy manager on PC.

I say if you can afford it and have a genuine interest in gaming then why not? There's always going to be console exclusives, a lot of which are quality imo, but it depends on the person whether they feel they can justify having a PS4 just for that. The Last of Us would be reason enough for me. Honestly amazing. I wouldn't rush out and buy any console or PC for AC: Black Flag though.

Destiny isn't an exclusive, though it does seem to have a lot of exclusive dlc and such on ps4.

Exclusive in the sense that it'll only be available for the consoles, not PC. I have no interest in picking up an Xbone.

I'd wait after Gamescom. Xbox is having a price drop. Wouldn't surprise me if Sony drop the European price or bundle a game with it.

They might do, but I doubt they'd need to. Even if the Xbox was £100 cheaper than PS4 I think PS4 would easily outsell it in Europe. Would close the gap in the UK somewhat but even then I doubt it'd ever come close to overtaking.

They'd want the momentum going and kill off Xbox completely in Europe.

Has anyone used the PS Now feature yet? Want to try some PS3 games but the prices seem a bit unreasonable.
