Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

It's very early on. Just after you sneak past the very first clicker and then drop down alone into a new section. There's one regular zombie on his own to the right which I can easily choke but the others and the clicker are all dicking about together.

I think I know which bit that is, I recall first time around that was actually quite challenging as you can't just run in. Use bottles and bricks to distract them, glide around the back of them as they all pile after them. Get used to using that tactic against clickers, you will know why a bit further on in that section.

Oh I haven't played FEZ but heard good things about it, I'll give that a try.

To the lads who tried the destiny beta on ps4, Would they describe it as the first real system seller? ive held off buying a ps4 and i can play the majority of stuff on my pc. the only games i would buy if i went out and got a ps4 would be fifa and black flag. is destiny good enough to justify the investment at this stage?

The system seller is released on Friday.

Take it your referring to the last of us, Outstanding game. I have it on ps3 and the game experience is already so good, i cant justify buying a 349 pound system to play it remastered, Even though it looks staggeringly good. If I was living under a rock last gen, and didnt play TLOU, i would 100% go out and grab it in fairness.

Well, if you want Destiny, the best version is PS4, but it's not my type of game, but people seemed to enjoy it a lot. System seller, you'll have to wait for the next Naughty Dog game next year.

Do you not have a PS3 or 360? You can try Destiny on those. I don't personally think it's a system seller as it is on the old consoles too.

I swear you only like Uncharted and Gran Turismo.

No it's just I notice most games you say aren't your cup of tea and I know you like those 2.

It was less about you bumming them and more that I don't see other stuff you like. Wasn't meant to be a criticism.

Well what is this naughty dog game you keep talking about? You say it's a system seller yet they haven't announced anything have they? Are you just presuming it will be a system seller or have you seen some of it?

So bought the TLOU of the PS store. Loving it so far. Put it straight away on the highest difficulty. Have to go through a lot of repeats. Not an easy game at all and best enjoyed with a pair of headphones on (Unless you have a bitching home theatre system). Gets a bit frustrating that I can't save in between check points so that I can kill two people and then figure out how to get to the other without having to kill the first two all over again.

yeah it's tough and frustrating, but I liked that. I actually liked for a change that you can't just quick save. It was enjoyable figuring out how to get past certain areas, really having to plan your route with death after death, I'm replaying it on survivor now and it's an absolute bitch, but still great. I found normal a bit of a cop out to it at times, was pretty easy to go "ah feck it" and just nail bomb and molotov everything.

Playing at the highest difficulty definitely feels more rewarding. There have been a lot of times that I could get through a section by sneaking through. But then I wanted to explore a room to see if there was anything I could pick up. I try and sneak to said room only to get found out. I still haven't figured out how to escape once someone spots you. Generally its game over for me.

Possibly. If you've got some people to play with (there's a caf group) it could be fantastic. I enjoyed my two days with the beta more than any multiplayer shooter since cod4 tbh.

From my very own PS4:

I really wasn't interested in playing it again yet but I'm so bored, and reading The Road has made me really want to go through it again.. plus I didn't do the DLC.

Plus, I really liked the multiplayer. So tempted to get it, but I'm probably too low on money to buy a game for a console that isn't mine. Pretty jealous right now though.

£30 from GameStop....

Yeah I know but even that is stretching it a bit... hmm, thanks though.

I'm gonna try and convince my step-dad that he should get it for himself. I'll tell him it's basically just COD with zombies.

I preferred my 2nd play through to my first for some reason. I rarely play through a game more than once

And now when I pick it up again tomorrow it will be an extremely rare 3rd play through.

It is probably in my top 5 all time favourite games

It's definitely a fantastic game. Probably the best narrative driven game I've ever played.. but it's nowhere near my top games, but perhaps that's just because it was so recent.

I imagine the longer I don't play it and think back on it, the higher I'll rate it. It's already happening to some degree, there were some things that really annoyed me about the game before, but I care far less about them looking back.

I guess it just depends what you want from a game. Gameplay wise it was nothing more than solid I thought, good but nothing great - but as a story it was unbelievable. After I finished the game I don't think I touched a game for a week, maybe 2.. I felt like I couldn't play anything else for a while, it was a really weird feeling.
