Gaming PlayStation 4 (Console)

Oh, I know. I'll be playing the crap out of 14 for almost two months before that ;)

Haha - I got my PS4 a few weeks ago and am almost regretting not buying FIFA - definitely miss having a sports game at the moment!

Will get FIFA next month and Madden later this month, so should be set after that.

Just seen the new summer sale things have been announced (may even be up).

Still you can probably get the physical copies of those games for less 2nd hand.

Yeah but with remote play on a Vita I actually prefer to have them digital even if they have no resale value - can play any of them wherever I go this way.

Good point. I don't have a vita and don't think I plan on getting one anymore. I just dislike having to change discs, but I still like having the physical copies on a shelf! Decisions decisions. Tomb raider is down to £24.99 on the store at the moment.

That's more than worth it. Great game.

Some of the PS Plus games are excellent but I wouldn't buy them for actual money simply because at first look they don't appeal to me. Metrico should be good, FEZ and Road Not Taken as well. I've already bought Crysis 3 before but honestly it's going to be tough for them to offer me games I don't yet own for PS3 when I have over 70 games in my download list plus about 30 retail copies, everything decent ever released for platform is either on my shelf or hard drive.

What are the games this month?

PS+ for August

PS4

FEZ
Road Not Taken

PS3

Crysis 3
Proteus

Vita

Metrico
LEGO Harry Potter

I really think people should give FEZ a go, I had it on steam for about 6 months before I even played it but when I did I really enjoyed it. I think people are kinda put off by the graphics and assuming its a kids game, its quite complex and the sounds and music are really relaxing, its quite nice to enjoy a game like that now and again.

Flanders is a WUM, don't take him too seriously... fwiw I agree that the PS+ selection could be better though, especially wrt PS4

Thanks.

Nothing too exciting for the PS4

Question. PlayStation now = gaikai or whatever is was called. PS now seems like a rental service, but wasn't the idea was that you could purchase old console games and play them forever. Not just rent them?

You can either rent or buy them outright. Both options are far more expensive than simply picking it up in a store.

I don't get you! I've never bad mouthed a game that I have not played.
?

Yeah, ok. You never comment on games you haven't played and tell people which ones are best and what system to buy because of it.

My bad

This is the first result of a search for "Ryse" posted by WeasteDevil

He's talking about Dead Rising which runs like shit, Forza that is an uprezzed XB360 game, and Ryse that is as repetitive as feck and runs in 900p. Oh, and have you seen Titanfall?

Ryse is still one of the best 2 looking games on a console I think. It will look amazing on PC in 4K.
